The Council of Architecture (CoA) will conduct the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) 2020 for the candidates interested in admission to the undergraduate graduate programmes in Architecture (BArch). The council has been constituted by the Government of India for registration of Architects, standards of education, recognised qualifications and standards of professional conduct and etiquette.
NATA is being conducted every year with an objective to provide a single scheme of examination facilitating prospective students all over the country for admissions in architecture programmes. The exam was started in 2006 to help students avoid appearing in multiple aptitude tests. The eligibility for admission to five-year Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree course will also be decided through NATA 2020. The eligibility conditions for NATA 2020 will be prescribed by CoA and duly approved by the Central Government. The eligibility condition must be strictly adhered by candidates and followed in all Architectural Institutions over the country.
Similar to JEE Main, NATA 2020 will also be conducted twice by CoA. The first phase of the exam will tentatively be held in the second week of April while the second phase of the exam will be conducted in the second week of July. Candidates will have the choice of appearing in one or both the exams. Important details about NATA 2020 can be checked below.
