NATA 2021 Notification has been released. The application form for both phases will be available from March 5, 2021. Qualifying in national level aptitude test in Architecture (NATA) 2021 is mandatory for admission to the BArch degree offered by various colleges across india. The Phase-1 exam will be conducted on April 10 and phase-2 on June 12, 2021.Â
What is NATA 2021?
National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is a national level entrance exam conducted for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate programmes in Architecture (5-year BArch). NATA exam is conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA). The exam was started in 2006 to help students avoid appearing in multiple aptitude tests. From 2019, CoA has decided to conduct the test twice a year. Candidates will have the choice of appearing in one or both the exams. NATA 2021 Eligibility Criteria
The CoA has relaxed the NATA 2021 eligibility criteria. Every candidate must fulfill the NATA 2021 eligibility criteria before filling the application form:

- Age Limit: There is no age limit to apply for the exam.
- Subjects in Class 12: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are compulsory subjects.
- Qualifications: The candidates must have passed the 10+2 level examination from a recognised board
- Marks: Candidates must score at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) and also at least 50% marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC-NCL category or PwD (Persons with a disability) shall be provided with a relaxation of 5% marks in total aggregate in 10+2 level
Diploma Holders: Candidates who have passed the 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate are also eligible to appear for the exam.

Candidates can go through the stepwise process given below to register for NATA 2021:

To appear in the NATA 2021, candidates need to pay a certain amount depending on the category they belong to. Tabulated below is the application fee for the various categories of applicants:

NATA 2021 Admit Card
The examination authority will issue the NATA 2021 admit card online on April 6 for the first phase and on June 8 for the second session in online mode through the website. Applicants will only be able to download their respective admit cards by entering the Registered ID and Password.
The admit card of the NATA 2021 exam will be uploaded on the official website. After downloading the admit card, the candidates should confirm that the photograph and signature are printed on the admit card. Every candidate must carry the admit card along with valid Photo Id proof to the exam
NATA 2021 Exam Day Guidelines
Candidates must bring with them:
- Printout of Downloaded Admit Card of NATA 2021.
- Original Proof of Identity - Aadhaar/Passport/Driving License/Voter ID.
- Pen, pencils, eraser, colour pencils (No water/oil colour or crayon). Instruments of any kind including scale are not permitted.
- Candidates will be allowed to bring with them a cardboard or a clipboard with nothing written on it so that they have no difficulty in taking the drawing test.

Candidates must show on demand the Admit Card (NATA- 2021) for entry to the Examination Hall. A candidate not possessing print out of the downloaded admit card and valid photo identity shall not be allowed to enter the Examination Hall by the Center-in-Charge.

A photograph of the candidate will be taken at the Centre before the candidate is indicated his seat for taking the examination. The seat will be randomly allotted to the candidate on completing the procedure.
Procedures to be followed in the Examination at Test Centres
Candidates will have to follow the time schedule as follows:
- Report at the Examination Center: 9.00 am
- Examination hall gate to open: 9.15 am
- Registration of candidate to be completed: 9.45 am
- Closing of the gate at the examination hall: 10.00 am
- Commencement of examination: 10.00 am
- Duration of examination: 10.00 am to 1.00 pm
Note: Late entry of candidates will not be permitted in the examination hall after 10.15 am pm and no extra time shall be granted. Exit from the examination centre shall not be allowed before 1.00 pm.

Q. When will the NATA 2021 application form released.
A. NATA 2021 application form will be released online on March 5. As the exam conducted in two phases, the last date for both phases is different.
Q. What is the last date to fill the NATA 2021 application form?
A. The last date to NATA 2021 phase-1 application form is March 28 and or phase 2 is May 30, 2021.
Q. When will the NATA 2021 exam be conducted?
A. The NATA 2021 phase-1 exam will be conducted on April 10 and phase-2 on June 12, 2021.
Q. Till when is the NATA 2021 score valid?
A. NATA Score is valid for one year.
Q. Where can I take NATA 2021?
A. Candidates aspiring for NATA can take the test at iON proctored assessment centres which are spread across all the major cities in India and Dubai.
Q. If I have not studied Mathematics in my qualifying examination, can I apply for NATA 2021?
A. No, it is mandatory to have Mathematics as a compulsory subject in the 10+2 or Diploma program. Without this subject, candidates will not be allowed to fill in the NATA Application Form.
Q. Is there any provision to reschedule the exam?
A. No. The exam is conducted only on the already decided date all over the country. Rescheduling the examination is not possible.
Q. Is it possible to appear in the exam in some other city or centre than the one assigned by the Council?
A. Once the exam centre is allotted to a candidate, no changes will be entertained.
Q. Are there any centres in foreign cities? And is the examination fee different for the exam centre?
A. Yes, the exam will also be conducted in Dubai. Candidates opting for Dubai as their exam centre will need to pay an additional fee of Rs 10,000.
