All About GSEB Board: Exam Dates (Out), Result, Admit Card, Syllabus & Question Paper

Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) conducts examinations for GSEB Class 10 and GSEB Class 12 every year in March. However, for the current academic session, the examinations have been postponed due to COVID-19. The examinations will now be held in May 2021 instead of March. The State Board has released the GSEB 10th, 12th time table 2021 for the same. According to the released GSEB SSC Time Table 2021, the examinations are scheduled from May 10 to May 20, 2021. Class 12 Science exams are to be held from May 10 to 21, 2021 in the evening shift i.e. from 3 PM to 6 PM, while the HSC General Stream Exam will be held from May 10 to 25, 2021.

Established under “The Gujarat Secondary Education Act 1972”, the board’s major responsibilities (other than conducting board exams) include administering secondary and higher secondary schools, preparing syllabus, and recommending textbooks to be taught in schools in Gujarat. The board is also responsible for tasks such as recognition of new schools and performance evaluation as well as inspection of schools associated with it. GSEB is also the conducting body for GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test).   

As per the data available in an RTE (Right to Education), about 9,500 government and private schools are associated with GSEB.

The Gujarat Board has released the GSEB HSC Timetable and GSEB SSC Timetable 2021 on its official website on February 3. Students must go through the entire timetable and chalk out their study schedule accordingly.

All the students must have cleared their class 9 from Gujarat Board or any other recognized board of education to be eligible to appear for GSEB SSC 2020. The students must also make sure that the minimum required attendance stipulated by the Board for Gujarat Board 10th is fulfilled.
