GSEB - Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board
GSEB conducts examinations for Classes 10th and 12th in March every year.
Established under “The Gujarat Secondary Education Act 1972”, the board’s major responsibilities (other than conducting board exams) include administering secondary and higher secondary schools, preparing syllabus, and recommending textbooks to be taught in schools in Gujarat. The board is also responsible for tasks such as recognition of new schools and performance evaluation as well as inspection of schools associated with it. GSEB is also the conducting body for GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test).
As per the data available in an RTE (Right to Education), about 9,500 government and private schools are associated with GSEB.
The Gujarat Board Higher Secondary School Certificate (GSEB HSC) exam 2019 was held from March 7 to March 23, 2019. The exam was conducted in the evening shift between 3:00 pm to 6:15 pm. The GSEB HSC result for Science was declared on May 9, 2019, and the result for Arts and for the Commerce stream, the result was released on May 25, 2019. The rechecking-result was also declared on June 19, 2019.
There has been no official announcement as of now regarding the GSEB Class 12th (HSC) examinations. However, for the GSEB Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Examination 2020, the admit cards will be tentatively released in the month of February and the exams will take place between March 9 and March 21, 2020. The results will be declared in May 2020.

GSEB HSC Eligibility
Students must have cleared their class 11 from Gujarat Board of Secondary Education or any other recognised board of education to be eligible for GSEB HSC 2020.
GSEB SSC Eligibility
All the students must have cleared their class 9 from Gujarat Board or any other recognized board of education to be eligible to appear for GSEB SSC 2020. The students must also make sure that the minimum required attendance stipulated by the Board for Gujarat Board 10th is fulfilled.
GSEB Exam Pattern
GSEB HSC exam pattern 2020
The GSEB HSC exam is held in pen and paper mode. The duration of the examination is three hours. All the students need to score at least 33% marks in order to qualify. The students must know the examination pattern before starting with the preparations so as to know the type of questions asked as well as the marking scheme of the examination.
GSEB SSC exam pattern 2020
The duration of the Gujarat Board examination is 3 hours. The students need to score a minimum of 33 per cent to be able to qualify. All the students appearing for the GSEB must know the exam pattern to get an insight into the type of questions asked, marking scheme and also the number of questions. Candidates have to appear for the following subjects in the GSEB SSC 2020-First language ( Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, Urdu, Sindhi, English, Tamil, Telugu and Odiya), Social Science, Science and Technology, Mathematics, Second language (Gujarati, English, Hindi, Sindhi, Sanskrit, Farsi, Arabic and Urdu).

The following tips will help the students in their GSEB 12th and GSEB 10th exam preparation:
- Prepare a time table and follow it religiously.
- Spend more time on the weak areas of each subject.
- Making notes while studying is very essential as they come handy at the last minute.
- Try and revise the whole syllabus as many times as possible.
GSEB Admit Card
Gujarat HSC Admit Card 2020
The admit card for GSEB HSC 2020 will be made available in February 2020. The admit card is an important document and must be carried to the exam. It contains information like candidate’s name, roll number, exam schedule, school name, signature, photo etc.
GSEB SSC 2020 Admit Card
The admit card for Gujarat Board SSC exam will be made available in February 2020. It contains information including the name of the candidate, roll number, examination centre, etc. The admit cards will be provided to the school by their respective schools. In case of any discrepancy, students must contact the school authorities immediately.
GSEB Result
GSEB HSC result 2020
The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board will release the result for GSEB HSC 2020 in May. The 2019 result for the science stream was announced by the Board on May 9, 2019. The result for Arts and Commerce stream was released on May 25, 2019.
