NIOS ODE (On-Demand Examination)
The National Institute of Open Schooling also launched a concept of On-Demand Examinations (ODES) wherein the candidates can take the examination when they are prepared for it. There will not be any set time or schedule for the candidates to take the exam.
The concept was first introduced in the year 2003 at the secondary level and proved to be a great step in the direction of flexibility and distance learning. It made the total system of examination, independent of the time frame further helping the students to perform better as they can take the examination as per their wish.
Witnessing success at the secondary level, the concept was re-introduced in the year 2007 in Sr. Secondary level. Currently, ODE is being conducted at NIOS Headquarters – Noida and at its regional centres in the following Secondary and Sr. Secondary levels.
The ODES result is declared and published through the NIOS website during the last week of every month for the examinations conducted in the preceding month.
