PSEB - Punjab School Education Board

Headquartered in Ajitgarh (formerly known as Mohali), The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) is a school education board for the state of Punjab. The board was founded in 1969 under a legislative act of the Government of Punjab. 

PSEB conducts the yearly state-wide examination at Middle, Matriculation, and Senior Secondary levels. This means that the board conducts examinations for the following classes:

The board is headed by a Chairman whose term lasts three years. The Chairman reports to the Secretary of School Education in the Government of Punjab. Currently, the Chairman of the Board is Manohar Kant Kalohia. 

Responsibility of the Board includes holding examinations for school education, publishing results of the examination, and then granting certificates to the students who clear the examinations. 3105 schools, across 23 districts are affiliated to The Punjab School Education Board. 

PSEB Class X Exam Dates 2020

The Punjab School Education Board will announce the PSEB 10th date sheet 2020 in January. The exam will be conducted in the month of March/April. Last year the exams were held between March 15 and April 2, 2019. The PSEB class 10 date sheet 2020 will be updated here as soon as it is released by the Board.

The duration of the exam is three hours, and students get 15 minutes extra to read the question paper. Differently-abled students get 20 minutes extra time for every hour. Class X examination is conducted between 10 am and 1:15 pm. 

PSEB 10th Syllabus 2020

Punjab board has released the PSEB class 10 syllabus 20219-20 on the official website. It mentions all the topics of different subjects to be covered for the exam. Students can click here to download the syllabus of PSEB 10th 2020. 

PSEB Class 10 model papers

Students preparing for the board exams must solve, practice and analyze the model papers for better preparation of the exam. These sample papers will familiarise them with the exam pattern followed in the exam, duration and will let them know the different types of questions asked. It is suggested that the model papers be solved within the stipulated time.

PSEB Class XII Exam Dates 2020

The Punjab School Education Board will announce the schedule for the PSEB Class XII exam in January. The exam will be conducted in March/April. In 2019, the examinations were conducted between March 1 and April 22. Students must check this space for the PSEB 12th date sheet 2020. It'll be updated here as soon as it is released by the Board. The exams are conducted between 2 pm to 5:15 pm which includes 3 hours of writing time and 15 minutes of reading time. Extra 20 minutes are allotted to differently-abled students.

PSEB 12th Syllabus 2020
