How Shiksha Career Tests Work?
The best academic & career choices are those that are in line with ‘who you are’ and ‘what you are good at’. Shiksha Career Tests assess your Personality, Aptitude, Motivations & Interests (‘who you are’), and identify your Career Strengths (‘what you are good at’) and give you a unique Career Code (a unique combination of four profiles: Innovator, Builder, Communicator & Enabler). This combination of inputs is then used to recommend Subjects, Courses and Careers that you are most likely to succeed in.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I need to prepare in advance for the Career Test?
You are not required to prepare for any Career Test in advance. The tests contain questions around your Personality, Motivations ad Interests, and do not require any prior preparation. Moreover, questions in the Aptitude section are from the curriculum that you have already covered in school, and hence that does not require any preparation either.
- What is the duration of the test and does it have to be completed in one go?
Most Students complete Career Test in 60-90 minutes. The Career Test can be paused by closing the Career Test window. Your responses will be auto saved and you can resume the Test later. To resume the test, login to Shiksha, go to the Career Test of your choice & click ‘Take Test’. However, if you don’t complete the Test within 30 days from the date of payment, your Test will expire, and then you will be required to purchase the test again to complete it.
- How many times can I take the Career Test I have paid for?
You can take a particular Career Test only once per purchase. If you complete a Test and want to take it again, you may repurchase the same Career Test with another Shiksha account.
- How can I make payment for the Career Test?
The payment can only be made online by Net Banking/Credit Card/ Debit Card. The payment gateway is verified and is secure for making payments. Select only the Career Test which is relevant/ recommended for you this year. Career Tests once paid for cannot be refunded.
- When and how will I get the Summary & Detailed Reports, and how do I interpret them?
The Summary & Detailed Reports will be generated and sent to you by email within 2 hours of completing the Career Test. They will also be available for download at the Career Test Page. The Reports are easy to understand, and you may go through these Explanation Videos to understand the reports better.
- Can I take the Career Test on a mobile/tablet?
Yes, the Career Test can be taken on a mobile, a tablet or a computer.
