The top course at ISDI - School of Design and Innovation is the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program. The school offers various design programs, but the B.Des program is one of the most prominent courses available. The B.Des program at ISDI covers a wide range of design disciplines, including Fashion Design, Interior Design, Communication Design, and Strategic Design Management. The school also offers other undergraduate and postgraduate courses in design and innovation. The B.Des program is highly competitive, and the selection process includes the ISDI Challenge, which comprises a portfolio evaluation, Design Aptitude Test (DAT) score, and Class 12 percentage. ISDI considers the combined score from the ISDI Challenge to grant admission. There is no minimum cutoff disclosed but in previous years, candidates with: Class 12 percentage above 80%,  DAT score above 75%,  Good portfolio/project work,  Strong interview performance have secured admission for B.Des programs.

To be eligible for the B.Des programme at ISDI School of Design and Innovation in Mumbai, candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board. There is no restriction on the stream of study at the 10+2 level.

The key eligibility criteria are:

• Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination from any recognised board such as CBSE, ISC, etc.
• There are no restrictions on the stream of study at the 10+2 level. Students from any discipline - arts, commerce or Science - can apply.
• The minimum qualifying marks vary for different categories. For general category candidates, the minimum marks required is 50%. For reserved category candidates, the minimum marks requirement is lower.
• Candidates must be at least 17 years of age as on 31st December of the admission year.

XAT 2026 registration process is expected to begin in the second week of July 2025. Official announcement of commencement of XAT registration process 2026 will be made by XLRI in newspapers and its website. Interested candidates will have to register for XAT 2026 by creating a login ID at xatonline.in website. The XAT application fee will be INR 2200. Candidates will have to pay the fee to submit the XAT application form.
