A decision worth taking.

Placements: Almost 90% of our students have been placed in topmost News organizations and agencies like Reuters, The Hindu and Times. Some opt for freelancing. The package starts from 25k- 70k. They work as Reporters, Photo Journalists, News Readers, Anchors and so on.

Infrastructure: The Media centre has 2 shooting rooms for Photography and Videography and 1 Edit suite for RJ. The Millers library houses a vast collection of books for the students' reference. There are 2 computer labs wherein the students are taught about E...

Overall, the college is good in terms of academics.

Placements: On-campus placements for journalism students are not that regular and often. Few companies like Reuters do come for recruiting graduates, but the students don't turn up for interviews. Apart from on-campus placements, most of the students go for jobs and works of their own choice. Few go for freelancing, few go for post graduation etc. So, in terms of campus placements for journalism students, the college is not very good. But, a compulsory internship has to be done for 60 days during the 6th se...

Madras Christian College offers much more than academics. It is a place to learn, unlearn and re-learn. The students imbibe the skill to take ownership of things and this is a very important for one’s career and life. The faculty is top notch and the exposure students receive is extraordinary. The hostel/ hall life is one of a kind experience that only students of MCC can understand and feel. Some of the famous alumni include Dr. S. Radhakrishan, V.V Giri, Indra Nooyi, Prakash Karat, Gemini Gane...

Review of Department of Journalism, Madras Christian College.

Placements: About 60% of students got internships. The college was very keen on placements. They conducted one course where we learned about how to attend an interview and how to do your resume. They teach us everything about interviews and how to do them.

Infrastructure: It is not that good when we talk about Wi-Fi in MCC. Because of the trees and infrastructure, there will be no signal in the college. Wi-Fi is also not there for students. Because of that, students can't use gadgets, especially laptops, in college because ...

Absolutely satisfied, good infrastructure with genuine faculty members.

Placements: There were about 50 students in our class. It's a great course to do at this college. About 60% of students got internships from our course. It all depends on how you perform the tests and how you perform overall. You can gain a lot of experience from MCC.

Infrastructure: The hostels are called halls. There are 3 halls for boys and 3 for girls. Overall, the halls are great. The food was average. They'll not provide any fans in the rooms. You'll have to bring your own table fan with you. This is the only disadvan...
