B.Sc. in Nursing - Batch of 2026
4.2

Review of Government College of Nursing, Kottayam.
Placements: The college only accepted 99 percent of marked students with high grades and marks. I opted for the B.Sc. NR course, but several other courses are available. Every type of scholarship and internship is available. Because it is a brand-new luxury college, studying there is considered a privilege, hence I am happy.
Infrastructure: Yah, infrastructure is normal and not bad. I would give a four-star rating. Classrooms, libraries, etc. are available with high facilities. Wi-Fi is not available since it is a phone-free campus. Sports and games are also there. A canteen is available and medical facility is also available.
Faculty: Teachers are good, to be honest. They are intelligent, hardworking, and definitely knowledgeable. This curriculum is relevant and it makes us ready to fight for the outer world, where competition is very high. I am obliged to study there as a student.

B.Sc. in Nursing - Batch of 2024
4.2

One of the best colleges to become a professional nurse.
Placements: There are about 64 students in my batch. In my junior batch, there were 70 students, and out of those, 20 have already gone to the UK, etc. The rest are still doing internships. There is no placement cell in nursing colleges. However, they conduct guidance programs where students are taught about various opportunities. I have many seniors who passed OET IELTS and are now working in Ireland, the UK, Saudi Arabia, etc.
Infrastructure: There is a separate college for B.Sc. nursing. There are an adequate number of labs for each subject. Classrooms are well-facilitated. AV aids and other educational media are present. There is a big library that contains more than 2,000 books. There is a well-ventilated large auditorium as well. The hostel is predominantly fully occupied, so students have to stay outside in private hostels or PGs. Overall, the facilities in the hostel are good. There are playgroups, prayer rooms, study halls, etc.
Faculty: The teachers here are really qualified professors and assistant professors. They are very well trained in their respective fields. The curriculum is devised by the INC, and thus it is applicable to all nursing institutes and is even practicable in foreign countries. There used to be yearly exams, but now it has been changed to a semester. In the semester system, the number of subjects per semester has decreased, and the syllabus also decreased. Students are given about 20 days of study leave for preparation. After the exams, there is a 7-day holiday. In my college, about 10 percent of students get diarrhea every semester.
Other: I really love to help people and I think nursing is one of the best professions that helps people and as well as provides a means to earn a good amount of money. Our college has many student unions that conduct various extracurricular activities such as sports meets, arts festivals, cultural programs, quizzes, etc.
