B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2028

Overall, it is a decent college for engineering.
Placements: About 80-90% of students get placed. The highest package offered is 50 LPA this year in B.Tech. Top recruiting companies for our course are TCS, Amazon, HCL, etc. About 90% of students got internships in the 2nd and 3rd years. Overall, it is a decent college in Knowledge Park 2. If students are active and serious about their studies, then they should definitely join this college. It's a ragging-free college. Seniors are also supportive and take stands for juniors.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. In fact, the construction work is still going on. Wi-Fi is available in both colleges and in the hostel 24x7. Labs are very good. Facilities in the hostel are also good. The mess is hygienic, and the food also tastes good. It gives us a menu which is organised according to season. There are four canteens on the college campus. Sports are good, and every year it organises some sports competitions. It organises competitions separately for engineering students and for management students.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and they are highly qualified. Some of them are GATE and NET qualified. Some of them have done their masters from IIT and NIT. Teachers are very helpful to students. They also inform us about scholarships for general OBS and SC/ST students. They are active in all works. Semester exams are a little bit hard, but students got good SGPA and CGPA. They taught us according to the AKTU syllabus.

A good college, maybe in terms of placements, but don't expect more from the infrastructure.
Placements: Last year, 85% of students got placed in good companies like Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Flipkart, and many reputable companies. The highest package offered last year was 70 LPA. The average package ranges from 5-6 LPA. The lowest package offered was 3 LPA. Approximately 50% of students got internships in my course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not as good as the college was started in 2000. The college authorities are trying their best to maintain a good infrastructure. The hostel facilities are good, but there is no good food. In the beginning, there was good quality of food, but after 2-3 months, they made us eat anything. There are also problems regarding the gate pass.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified. They are at least PhD holders. Teachers are very helpful in our academics, and they do everything and support us to improve ourselves. The content delivery is to the point. The course curriculum is not good, as it is a very old curriculum that is being followed, so there can be changes.

Greater Noida Institute of Technology Honest Review.
Placements: As this branch is introduced recently, students need to be placed next year. But the lowest package offered in the CSE branch is 5 LPA, the average package is 6.5 LPA, and the highest package is 70 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, and Microsoft. 30% of students got internships in newly born startups. The top role offered in our course is Data Scientist.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not very good, but it's okay to manage with it. Facilities like training from the first year for placements, Wi-Fi, computer labs, and libraries are provided to us. I don't stay in the hostel, but once I went there, I can say the food is average, and the medical facilities are okay.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and also have vast knowledge of their fields. The teaching quality is good. As of now, the course curriculum is not very relevant, and we have to work hard on our own. Semester exams are still to happen, so I can't say whether they are difficult or easy.
Other: Artificial Intelligence and Data Science fields are growing and have vast career opportunities, so I’ve chosen this course.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2028

Great placements, helpful faculty, good infrastructure, and an active campus life at GNIOT.
Placements: I am from GNIOT (Greater Noida Institute of Technology), B.Tech CSE batch. In my batch, about 85-90% of students were placed. The highest package is around 48 LPA, the lowest about 3-4 LPA, and the average is 6-7 LPA. The top companies were Amazon, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, Capgemini, Cognizant, and Accenture. About 60-70% of students got internships at companies like TCS, Wipro, HCL, and local startups. The top roles offered are software developer, web developer, data analyst, cloud engineer, and system engineer.
Infrastructure: GNIOT has good labs, high-speed Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, and a big library with many books. The hostels are clean, have Wi-Fi, and basic furniture. Mess food is decent and hygienic. The canteen offers tasty snacks. There is a medical room, a doctor on campus, and nearby hospital tie-ups. For sports, there are grounds for cricket, football, basketball, and indoor games. There is also a gym. Overall, the facilities are good and support students well.
Faculty: Faculty at GNIOT is helpful, experienced, and supportive. They explain topics clearly and guide students well. The curriculum is updated as per industry needs and includes practical work, which helps make students industry-ready. The semester exams are moderate in difficulty. With regular study and class attendance, students can pass easily. The pass percentage is around 85-90%, so most students do well.
Other: I chose B.Tech CSE at GNIOT because I am interested in coding and new technologies. The best things about this course are good placements, strong technical learning, and industry exposure. I wish there were more practical projects and more focus on new tech like AI and ML. The campus has many events and fests, and the crowd is friendly. The campus is well-connected to Delhi-NCR. Scholarships are given to meritorious students. Many extracurricular activities like sports, cultural events, and technical clubs are available, making student life active and enjoyable.

Good, if you want a B.Tech degree. Dissatisfied with faculty subject knowledge and placement.
Placements: Every year, 20–50 students get placed in companies, including Tech Mahindra and Cognizant. The lowest package is 1.2 LPA and the highest is 4.5 LPA. The internship percentage is 0. The top roles offered are Customer Support, Team Leader, Data Entry Clerk, Technical Support/Helpdesk, and Junior Engineer.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are good, but you have to pay Rs.80,000 extra if you want an AC room. There is no Wi-Fi available. Labs are good, but some lab equipment doesn't work. The water facility is good, with RO water available on every floor. Hostel food is average. There is one volleyball ground and one ground to play cricket. They also provide bandages and some pills in case of a medical emergency.
Faculty: Teachers don't have basic subject knowledge. They teach from their laptops and just copy and paste on the board. Teachers suggest YouTube for a better understanding of questions. There is one industry-ready curriculum, but it only gives basic knowledge of Python and Java, which is not very helpful for getting placements. Around 60%–70% of students get at least one backlog in each semester.
Other: There is a good and huge freshers' party. But no food is provided, just one samosa and a Rs.10 Frooti in the evening.

Q:   Are CAT cut offs announced along with the CAT result?
A:

CAT cut-offs are not announced along with the CAT result. The cut-offs are also not released publicly. They are known after a few days of the result announcement when the IIMs and other colleges start their shortlisting process. The IIMs will open the shortlist window based on the CAT cut-offs two to three days after the result announcement. The CAT percentile of candidates shortlisted for the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI) can be considered the cut-off for that IIM. For example, if a candidate with a CAT percentile of 99 belonging to the General category is selected for the WAT/GD-PI of IIM Calcutta, then the CAT cut-off for IIM Calcutta is 99 percentile. Only those candidates who make it to the WAT/GD-PI round of IIMs will get to know the cut-offs.
