Effectiveness of Placement Cell for M.Sc. Courses at Hansraj College

Based on the student reviews and descriptions, here's a summary of the effectiveness of the placement cell for M.Sc. courses at Hansraj College:

    * Limited scope: The placement cell mainly focused on providing job opportunities in the teaching sector, which had a limited reach and scope.
    * No company visits: None of the companies visited the campus for recruitment purposes, indicating a lack of engagement between the institution and potential employers.
    * Low average salary: The average salary offered was around INR2-3 Lacs per annum, which may not be attractive to many students.
    * Only 10% of batch got placed: According to the reviews, only about 10% of the batch was successfully placed, leaving most students without job opportunities.

Overall, the placement cell seems to have been ineffective in securing lucrative job opportunities for M.Sc. students at Hansraj College. However, some students did opt for research or project work, which might be a viable alternative for those interested in pursuing advanced degrees.

The best college - An honest review.
Placements: Various private companies were offered in placements. Sometimes they could be subjective to the specialisation. Usually, there was no specific eligibility for 1st year or 2nd-year students. Companies could offer around ranges between 4 LPA - 5 LPA packages on average. Usually, students prefer to get placements outside the campus.
Infrastructure: I opted for the hostel but due to lack of rooms available on campus, I didn't get it. There were only 2-3 seats available in the hostel, and that too for the highest scores only.
Faculty: The course was moderate, not too easy and not too difficult. As all the classes conducted in the department of Chemistry the ratio between faculty members and students was fair enough. Exams were taken timely along with internal examinations. They were very good with their subjects and good with their skills. I love the way they taught us and they had amazing knowledge about their subjects. They give us projects and professional things which prepare us for industrial work. Faculty members were very good and students were very well. The faculty members of Hansraj College were highly qualified. The teaching method was good and practical ways. The term was for 3-4 weeks and little bit difficult. I got to pass in class.
Other: I am very much interested in Chemistry and its related application of chemicals.

There is also an internship cell and placement.
Placements: From the 6th Semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Around 550 companies like Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Accenture, Capgemini, IBM, Amazon, and many others come for placements. The highest package was 20 Lacs and the average was 4 Lacs. 80% of students get placed every year. My plans aim for higher studies.
Infrastructure: The annual festival of my college is very famous because it is a 3-day fest and the biggest artists like Honey Singh, Diljit, Jassi Gill, etc., have performed in my college in the past. Along with there are hundreds of societal fests which happen on a regular basis. The library of my college is very well-furnished and totally air-conditioned, it also has a very vast range of books from every domain. Every classroom in my college is air-conditioned and has a smart board and projectors in it. The sports facilities are too good.
Faculty: The faculty here are pretty friendly and encouraging, but they can do better with good guidance from the coordinators. There are 3 internals, and the best of two will be considered. They are pretty easy if you prepare even a little. Passing is very easy, whereas scoring is what makes things exciting. The course curriculum is also good but not enough.

Quality of social interaction is good, students are friendly.
Placements: Many companies are visited in campus, like Facebook, Reliance, Airtel, Amazon, Birla, Samsung, Oppo, and many other companies. To update the company website for improved user experience and aesthetics. Increased user engagement by 25%, reduced bounce rate by 15%, and received positive feedback from 80% of users in the post-launch survey.
Infrastructure: There are lots of fests and social activities held in college, like seminars and other fests. Overall campus experience is really good. Facilities provided are really nice. Technological provisions within classrooms are nice. A variety of sports and extracurricular activities are offered on campus, and there are lots of societies.
Faculty: I'm not talking about a personal faculty, but all faculties are very nice. Two times exam on campus: 1st in mid-semester (September) and second in end-semester. Exams are not hard but of medium average toughness. The syllabus is average. The location of the hostel is good. The warden of the hostel guides students in their career and support as well.

My experience in college was nice, and the environment in college is nice.
Placements: There is an Internship cell also in the college. It also works like a placement cell. There are many companies collaborating with the internship cell. The average stipend is around 5,000-15,000. Here, you will find everything you want in a college and college life.
Infrastructure: There is an annual cultural fest of Hansraj College called 'Confluence'. It's a center of attraction for other college students also. The library of Hansraj has a huge capacity and a wide range of books in it. There is a physical and sports society also. There are many societies, including NSS, NCC, etc.
Faculty: The college has enough faculty for each department. Personally, my faculty was very nice. I must say they are very encouraging. They are always helpful with every problem. They always listen to us and give their best in every lecture. I would mention some of my favorite professors: Dr. Preeti Dharmarha, Dr. Jyoti Bhola, Dr. Ashima, Dr. Amita Agarwal, Dr. Mukund Mishra, Dr. Arvind Yadav, Dr. Rakesh Batra, Dr. KR Meena, Dr. Ram Pravesh, and more. They are all very nice and my all-time favorite professors.

My experience in college was nice and also the environment is nice in college.
Placements: Our college has a placement cell that is very organized and hardworking. Students can apply for placements in their 5th semester or 3rd year. Companies like Tries Vista and BlueStone visit the campus. The average package is around INR 8 LPA, and the highest package is approximately INR 24 LPA.
Infrastructure: Hansraj College hosts an annual cultural fest called Confluence, which attracts students from other colleges as well. The college library has a large capacity with a wide range of books. There are facilities for physical activities, a sports society, and various other societies like NSS and NCC.
Faculty: The college has enough faculty for each department, and they are very encouraging and supportive. They actively help with problems and provide quality education. Personally, I like the library of Hansraj College because it is a quiet place to study.
Placements: Placement and internship opportunities are offered at the college itself. The college conducts placement drives for students willing to get placed in offices, and companies from all over India, including Mumbai, come and participate in these drives. To date, 100% of the students have been placed from the college into either internships or jobs.
Infrastructure: My overall experience at Hansraj College is better than my school life because here I learn many new skills, such as communication with anyone irrespective of their gender, social interaction, and social life. I joined 2-3 societies of my interest, one being NSS, which is a government body in colleges to improve students' skills in social interaction and responsibilities. Another one is Nistha, which is founded for guidance for UPSC aspirants.
Faculty: We have a student-faculty ratio of 1:10. All the faculty members either have a master's in architecture or engineering. It is a mix of young and experienced faculty in the college. Faculty members are present for the students during and even after college hours, providing us with all the necessary information and guidance.
