A total of 190 companies visited the campus and offered around 220 job roles during IIM Ahmedabad PGP placements 2022. Companies such as Accenture, BCG and Bain & Co visited the campus in the Consulting domain whereas in the Investment Banking and Market domain, companies such as ARGA Investment, Avendus and Sanford C Bernstein visited the campus during IIM A PGP placements 2022. Further, from the FMCG, Conglomerate and BFSI domains, companies such as ITC, Adani Group and American Express visited the campus. Boston Consulting Group and Bain & Company made 44 and 37 offers in the Consulting domain during IIM Ahmedabad PGP placements 2022.

For admission to MBA (or PGP) 2024 batch at IIM Ahmedabad, the CAT test will be conducted on November 26, 2023. Aspirants of IIM Ahmedabad are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2023 will be held in three slots:

• Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM
• Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
• Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Earlier, the CAT exam used to be of 180 minutes with 100 questions but in 2020, both exam duration and number of questions were reduced due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now, starting CAT 2022, the total number of questions stands at 66 as part of CAT pattern.

Yes, IIM Ahmedabad is certainly costly. IIM Ahmedabad total fees ranges between INR 64,000 and INR 33 lakh. The fees vary depending on the programme and specialisation selected by the students. The fee for certain programmes certainly falls in the higher end of the spectrum. Students need to pay INR 25 lakh as IIM Ahmedabad MBA fee. However, considering the fact that IIMA is one of the top-rate IIMs and limitless oppurtunities students can experience at the institute, it might be considered a worthwile investment. Candidates (General category) seeking admission to IIM-A for MBA must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate. For final selection, a student is required to have a valid score in the CAT exam (both sectional and overall) and is required to go through the AWT and PI rounds conducted by the institute. It is possible to get admission in IIM Ahmedabad even if you have scored 55% in B.Sc. According to a source, students must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA. Additionally, another source mentions that the IIM shortlisting criteria for admission includes 95+ CAT percentile and 70% and above in graduation. However, the final selection process of IIM Ahmedabad includes a Personal Interview (PI) round, which carries 50% weightage, and an Academic Writing Test (AWT), which carries 10% weightage. While all the courses at IIMA are full-time and residential, the PGPX is a one-year programme while PGP is for two years. The PGPX orientation is to give a general management perspective to a management executive, whereas the PGP is focused on Functional and Operational Management. On successful completion, students are given a Master of Business Administration degree.

IIM Ahmedabad PGP (MBA) placement process is conducted three clusters. Earlier, IIM Ahmedabad PGP placement process 2022 was conducted in two stages. The first stage was the lateral placement process where companies interviewed students with work experience and offered them mid-level managerial positions. In the second stage, PGP final placement process was conducted where companies were grouped into cohorts (domains such as Consulting, Finance, etc.) based on the profiles offered and these cohort group were invited to campus across three clusters for final placements.

For candidates to get into top IIMs including IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta, one must have a high CAT score preferably equal to or more than 99.5 Percentile. Considered as the top B-School of India, the competition for top IIMs is very high whereas on the other hand the number of seats for the same are less. The total course fee for PGP offered at IIM Ahmedabad is INR 23 Lacs. IIM A charges INR 18 Lacs as its course fees. This includes academic support, tuition, accommodation, basic healthcare, medical insurance and alumni association membership fee. This will also include books, case study materials, etc. This fee does not include mess fees, laptop, travel or personal expenses etc. Other expenses (academic) and living (including recreation) in Ahmedabad for 2 years costs another INR 2 Lacs.

Candidates seeking admission to the two-year PGP of IIM Ahmedabad must appear in the Common Admission Test (CAT). CAT 2023 (considered for admission to the 2024-26 batch) will take place in November 2023. Candidates who are interested in seeking admission to the 2024-26 batch were able to apply online and register themselves on the official website of CAT after the CAT registration process is open.

Yes, over the years, the IIM-A has formed partnerships with leading Management schools in Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand, South America, South Africa and the Asia-Pacific region. Every year, out of the second year class, appriximately 150 students are selected to spend one academic term abroad at a partner institute and IIM-A accepts about 90 students from its partners for the same period.

This exchange programme makes it possible for IIM-A students to gain international exposure without any financial impediments. In addition to the  scholarships instituted by IIMA, several students have received scholarships from participating schools, the French embassy, DAAD from Germany and some corporate partners.
