IISER Bhopal Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,

Placements: Many students, after completing their master opt for a PhD internationally and pursue it. A very few percentage go for a job and get placements. Since it is a research college, students join it with the aim of pursuing that instead of aiming for placements.

Placements: The lowest package is around 8 LPA and the highest is 28.5 LPA. Top recruiting company is Barclays. Top roles are for economics department and one for data science engineer. Minimum of 20% of the batch and the major department students are placed.

Placements: For students of natural sciences, the placement opportunities are quite low as compared to economics and engineering students. However, due to the presence of departments like Maths and Physics, people can get some offers if they possess relevant skills.

Placements: As the course is more focused on research, so PhD positions are more encouraged. Alumni get PhD positions all over the world, including any prestigious institutes. The majority of students opt for a PhD and many still opt for industry positions. Both are well supported. Placements are quite low for the BSMS course.

Placements: Here, there are no placements. People are more interested in Ph.D. They take the recommendation and go abroad to pursue a Ph.D. Some of them started to apply to various companies to have a good salary and to maintain a work-life balance.

Placements: Very few people from my department are placed in industries, but most of them go for Ph.D. programs. Our alumni is spread all across the world, pursuing Ph.D.s in top colleges, including Ivy League institutions. Almost 90% of the students get research internships. My college also has an opportunity cell that helps students secure Ph.D. positions in other colleges.

Placements: This is a research institute, and placement is not the motive here, most of the students go abroad for internships and higher studies to pursue full-time research. People get funded education in top colleges across India, USA, Canada, Australia, Germany etc.

Placements: Placements on campus were good in 2023, but as it's a research institute, it's bad beyond that, and most students move on to pursue higher degrees instead of jobs. However, the highest salary package offered is 23 LPA, while the lowest salary package offered is 18 LPA. Companies like Morgan Stanley, IBM, Microsoft, and others visit here to hire. Top positions include science writers and quantitative analysts. A lot of students secured internships.

Placements: Students at IISER Bhopal have access to excellent internship and job options. This college admits between 60 and 85 percent of the students. The typical stipend is between LPA 13 and LPA 27. Our college receives placement requests from a variety of R&D firms. This college also offers vocational training to its students. The most sought-after positions are those of cryptologist and data scientist.

Companies like Deloitte, Elucidata, Nucleome Informatics, and Unilever hire for their R&D departments. The internships are usually under professors of other top colleges for research purposes. The top roles offered are research and analytics head.

Placements: Very few students get placed because most of the students go for either higher studies abroad or in India. Placements: My batch strength is about 400+. Most of the students don't opt for placements. We mainly go for PhDs, but people from the engineering department go for placements. The average placement package is about 10 LPA. The highest package was 27 LPA in 2022.

Placements: A new placement cell has been established recently. I am from a natural sciences background, so I don't know much about the placements for engineering students at IISER Bhopal. Mostly, they go for PhDs and other paths instead of placements.
