My review of this college.
Placements: Companies come for summer internship placement. There are good chances of going abroad for research projects, which are 100% financed by professors there. Moreover, internships inside campus can also be pursued for research projects. There are placements and job opportunities. Several big companies participate in placements like Google, Microsoft, Murata, Yahoo Japan, TCS, etc. My college provides internships and every student gets a stipend during the course. Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank offer a salary of 20 LPA. The average package is 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: It is a residential campus. So everyone has to live in the hostel. The hostel infrastructure is so nice, and a single room is allotted after our 1st year. Facilities are very nice, and we have a 24-hour hospital facility which is I guess the most important of all. The room rent varies from month to month, i.e., it ranges from Rs. 4,500-5,500. Labs are well-equipped with modern equipment.
Faculty: Faculty members of IISER are highly qualified and talented researchers. Most of them have done their PhD from some renowned universities. Everybody does not have a good teaching style. But they are always available in the office. We can easily approach them outside the class or meet them in their office. They are always ready to help us. There is a semester system for exams. CGPA is accredited to students. Working in labs is the greatest experience for students. We love to work in labs for a whole day. The course curriculum is highly flexible as there is no fixed syllabus for the course. Each year the syllabus and course content are determined by the present course coordinator considering the latest advancements in the field.

My review about this college.
Placements: The institute offers placement assistance to students seeking the best job in the industry. Along with that, the college also provides training and career guidance services to shape the careers of students by developing their personalities. The institute organizes various programs to enhance the skills of the students and make them prepare for upcoming challenges. Given the market scenario now the pay can be somewhere in Further More Space Technology and Education Pvt. Ltd., Brain and Company, Deloitte, and KPMG have come up with employment with packages of Rs. 20,000- Rs. 40,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Hostel rent includes semester fees. Approximately Rs. 100 per month. The hostel is well-equipped with Wi-Fi and 1 Gbps LAN connectivity. It provides 24-hour water and electricity facilities. In the 1st and 2nd year students got shared rooms of 2 people and 3rd year onwards students get a single room.
Faculty: Faculty is the attraction of this campus. IISER has the best of best faculty in the world and they top the list in the world. They are well-experienced and talented. They are always approachable. They have allotted special office time for students to clarify doubts and have tutorial sessions for doubt clearance. The course curriculum is designed for two years. It has four semesters in total. It helps us to carry out the research work in Chemistry biomedical, medical Biotechnology, etc. It provides exposure to the various fields. Course curriculum is fine. There is a semester system and you have to take internal exams also in mid of the semester and the internal exam marks are also added in the final semester. If I talk about exam structure then it consists of 4-5 questions with 4-5 subparts.

Professional behavior of Dr. Rajendra Kurapati of IISER TVM.
Placements: Only a few students from Physics or Math are given opportunities to work in companies and most of them apply for a Ph.D. The new placement cell that was set up in 2022 offers internship opportunities. The credentials of each student are the most important factor in them getting a Ph.D. position abroad. The titles of the institute, IISER, might not help if the student has low grades, and they must strive to keep their CGPA above 7.0 at least for a chance to get admitted into universities in the US. I felt that the average students (CGPA 7.5–8.5) in each department would get admitted to universities in the US with a QS rank of 300–900, which is pretty low. There is a high level of competition among students and achieving good grades is very difficult.
Infrastructure: The hostels had good facilities and were kept clean. There were problems with Wi-Fi connectivity in the past, but now new routers have been installed on every floor. The BSMS students reside in hostels that are located far away from the academic section and the rest of the campus and therefore accessibility to other places is limited.
Faculty: The professors are knowledgeable but the teaching quality depends on each professor. Some are good and some are not. If you want to pursue pure science, then this place is very good and has a good curriculum. I don't think it makes a student industry-ready, but it prepares them for Ph.D. applications. The exams are extremely competitive and students pass with a D grade. Depending on the course, the number of students who didn't pass could be around 20% for the toughest to 4% for the least toughest courses. Course difficulty depends on the professors; some give previous-year questions, some don't.
Other: The courses are affordable, and the crowd is alright, with extremely helpful seniors who don't rag or bully. There are some professors who display abusive behavior. For example, Dr. Rajendra Kurapati. I worked under this professor for a year and experienced instances where I was bullied, publicly humiliated, targeted and abused. I was harassed by a Ph.D. called Mahesh ML in this lab and the proof not only victim-blamed me but also gaslit me and tried to suppress me. He would have fits of range for the smallest of mistakes and always stir up drama. The Ph.D.s in the biomaterials lab are extremely gossipy and almost never talk about science. This lab was the worst in terms of a healthy work environment. The proof always engages in favoritism, where he assigns one student to get credit for many papers but bullies and lashes out at the rest of the people.

My review of this college.
Placements: Only the final-year students are eligible for campus selection. Many students opt to go for higher studies, so the percentage of selection is low. Faculty members encourage students for higher studies by providing ample information. Companies from India and a few from outside India come for recruitment. A few companies including Unilever, Avanti Learning, Excel Instruments, Nuclear Informatics, and Euclidata recruit students from IISER Bhopal. I am planning to work for 1 year and then go for higher studies. It is a research-oriented college, and it has most of its people inclined towards research.
Infrastructure: Hostel rooms are spacious. Hostels are available to every student who take admission to the institution. In every room, a maximum of two students are allotted one almirah, one study table, one chair, and two beds. Electricity is there 24x7. The rooms contain a charging port and also a LAN port. Wi-Fi is available in the hostel 24x7.
Faculty: Faculty members are top-notch. They are highly educated. A huge part of the curriculum is designed by them. They treat us with a lot of enthusiasm and interest. Every class is a learning experience. Exams are done in a quiet and calm way. The schedule is quite paced. The semester is only for four months, and there will be 2 mid-term exams and one final exam. There are a lot of assignment sessions. Exams are easy to tough type considering all kinds of students. The course offered here is revised regularly and research-oriented. All the faculty members here are well-versed in their subjects, and the advantage is that they are eminent scientists by profession, hence we get extra exposure to the modern research fields.

My review of this college.
Placements: A fully flourished placement cell is something the institute is lagging behind. The institute is trying to bring more job offers for students. Being a campus situated outside of the city, it is hard for recruiters to come also. We are getting the highest package that ranges from 6-9 LPA. The average package is 5 LPA from private coaching institutes, etc. Each year, new companies are coming and it's a good sign. If a student from this campus does internships in IISER, then they are not granted any additional stipend other than Rs. 5,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Hostel rent includes semester fees. Approximately Rs. 1,000 per month. The hostel is well-equipped with Wi-Fi and 1 Gbps LAN connectivity. It provides 24-hour water and electricity facilities. In 1st 2 years, students get a shared room of 2 persons, and from 3rd year onwards, students get a single room.
Faculty: Faculty members of IISER Thiruvananthapuram are highly qualified and talented researchers. Most of them have done their PhD work from some renowned university. Everybody had a good teaching style. But they are always available in the office. As this college is research-oriented, the faculty members are doing some research in different fields. They are very friendly with students and hold us in every ought we have. The exam structure is very student-friendly. There are two examinations each semester, mid-semester and end-semester exams. The syllabus is reasonable and students are given grades according to their performance. We will have regular quiz sessions and assignments. The beauty of the exam structure is that we don't have a gap to study. Once it starts, it will be ended in 7 days. Now, 75% of attendance is compulsory.

IISER TVM - A beautiful place to pursue your scientific interests.
Placements: At IISER TVM (and generally across all IISERs), placements are not the primary focus. Students do not enroll here merely to secure a job, but to genuinely explore their passion and pursue a deep understanding of various scientific disciplines. While placements in Data Science are notable, not many students opt for direct placements. Most choose to pursue higher education, such as Ph.D. programs, after completing their BS-MS degrees. A significant number of students secure admissions in prestigious institutions both within India and internationally.
Infrastructure: The campus of IISER TVM is well-equipped with modern infrastructure. Free Wi-Fi is accessible everywhere on campus, including hostels, mess, academic blocks, and the library. Hostel accommodations are clean and spacious, with shared rooms (initially for 2 students, later increased to 3). Classrooms are primarily located in the Lecture Hall Complex (LHC), with capacities ranging from 250 to 300 students. Separate buildings exist for Physical, Chemical, and Biological Sciences, with another dedicated building under construction for Mathematical and Data Sciences. The library, though limited in physical books, offers a vast collection of e-books and online resources, including research papers and journals in various fields such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Data Sciences, Environmental Science, Economics, and Literature. The mess provides good quality food, and several affordable eateries within the campus offer a variety of options. The campus also has a 24x7 health center to cater to students' medical needs. Sports enthusiasts have numerous options, including volleyball courts, cricket nets, a football turf, an indoor stadium for badminton and table tennis, a basketball court, and dedicated grounds for football and cricket. Most sports facilities are equipped with professional coaches. For extra-curricular activities, there is a music room, a dance room, and a student recreation center.
Faculty: The faculty members at IISER TVM are highly qualified professionals who are approachable and friendly. The courses are designed to be flexible, preparing students to face competition in the scientific world. The grading system is fair, with multiple quizzes, one mid-semester exam, and one end-semester exam, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation.
