IIT Dhanbad Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,

Placements: Based on the states from the previous batches, around 75-80% of students from our branch usually get placed. The highest package goes up to 30 LPA, the lowest is around 5 LPA, and the average is around 10 LPA-11 LPA. Roles offered are mostly graduate engineer trainee, electrical design engineer, analyst, and sometimes roles like data analyst or software engineer for those going into non-core.

Placements: A high percentage of placements are available in my course. The lowest and highest packages from top companies range from 3 LPA to 16 LPA. Top recruiting companies are interested in this course. The percentage of internships in this course is 80% in top companies like Wipro and Railways.

Placements: Our course had an 81.31% placement rate. The average salary was INR 16.98 lacs, the highest salary was INR 56 lacs, and the median salary was INR 15 lacs in 2023. Top recruiting companies like Microsoft, Tata Metaliks, Tata Power, Tata Steel, American Express, Ram Group, Schlumberger, AMD, Deloitte, and Aditya Birla visited our campus for placements.

Placements: As of the 2024–25 placement season, the B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering program at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad achieved a placement rate of approximately 68.18%. This indicates that about two-thirds of ECE students secured job offers during this cycle. The highest package offered is 51 LPA, the average package is 20 LPA, and the lowest package is 7 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Samsung R&D, Intel, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Flipkart, etc.

Placements: Placement states are quite good in our college and in my course also which is 76.92% of 48 students which is quite good. The highest package offered for my course is 38 LPA and the lowest package is 6 LPA. The average package is 13 LPA, which is decent. Top recruiting companies are Reliance, Sun Petrochemicals, Chevron, etc. Internships are decent but it is hard to get an internship in my field, but some got in non-core. Placements: Above 70% of students were placed in my course. 49.2 Lacs per annum is the highest placement of my course. Around 12 Lacs per annum, which is 12.5 Lacs per annum, is the average placement in my course. 11.88 Lacs per annum is the median package in my course. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Amazon, Google, ONGC, etc.
