No, the Indian Institute of Technology Goa (IIT Goa) only offers entrance-based admission for all the course to students. It accepts JEE Advanced scores for admission to BTech. Those students who get admission to BTech or MTech go through course material thoroughly like JEE Advanced 2025 books, GATE question papers, and others. Candidates are required to qualify for JEE Main exam prior to appearing for JEE Advanced. Apart from its flagship programme, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Goa) also offers MTech and PhD courses to the students at the postgraduate and doctoral levels. The accepted entrance exam for the MTech is GATE.
The year 2023 cutoff ranks for BTech in Mathematics and Computing Engineering at IIT Goa other than General category are - 2579 for OBC, 1583 for SC, 699 for ST, 1154 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE Advanced, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.
IIT Goa has offered BTech courses through JEE Advanced exam scores. It has released the cutoffs for various All India quotas including General, OBC, SC, ST, PWD, and EWS categories. Qualifying marks for JEE Mains 2026, also called qualifying percentile for JEE Mains will be announced by the NTA along with the JEE Main 2026 session 2 result. Candidates must note that qualifying percentile for JEE Mains 2026 is the minimum percentile required to appear in JEE Advanced 2026. For admission to NIT or IIITs, there is no provision of qualifying marks in JEE Mains 2026 and admission is given based on All India Rank in JEE Mains exam. NTA will announce JEE Mains 2026 All India rank in April after session 2 exam results.

GATE COAP Round 10 Seat Allotment results are expected to release on Jul 14 (10 AM) by IIT Kharagpur. The last date to view offers and take a decision for Round will be Jul 15(10 AM). Options available to candidates for Round 10 include 'Accept & Freeze' and 'Reject & Wait'.
GATE COAP 2023 is to be conducted in five main and five additional rounds for admission to IIT MTech courses. Till now COAP has been released upto Round 9. Candidates must view the offers and make decisions in the given time frames by logging in through the COAP platform at coap.iitkgp.ac.in. Further, GATE COAP will be conducted in two more additional rounds, round 11 and round 12. GATE COAP Round 11 is expected to release on Jul 17 (9 AM) and GATE COAP Round 12 will be out on Jul 20.

IIT Goa cutoff for 2025 has been released for the first round, on the basis of JEE Advanced scores. The cutoff was released for different categories under the All India quota. The cut off rank in Round 6 for BTech in Electrical Engineering is 8909 which is very close to this range. This was for General category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing from round to round, better ranks definitely increases your chances of getting admission in IIT Goa - Indian Institute of Technology.
Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2025 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. As per the IIIT Allahabad cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for BTech ranged between 5924 and 9558, among which Information Technology was the most competitive specialisation. The Round 1 closing rank for BTech ranged between 4817 and 8428 for BTech.
So, considering the previous year Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks, candidates seeking admission to IIIT Allahabad must secure a rank over and above 4800 and 9600 for the General ALL India category candidates.
