AAT 2023 exam dates have been announced. Eligible candidates will be able to access the AAT 2023 application form from June 18 to 19 at jeeadv.ac.in. JEE Advanced AAT 2023 will be held on June 21 as a pen-and-paper-based test of 3 hours and the candidates will be evaluated on their knowledge in General Knowledge, Geometry Drawing, 3D Aspects, Freehand Drawing, Imagination and Aesthetic Sensitivity. The candidates will be able to check their qualifying status through the AAT 2023 result on June 25. Qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in the BArch admission process in the participating institutes. Read to know more about AAT 2023.

What is AAT?

The Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) is conducted every year for the candidates who wish to take admitted to the BArch programme offered by the IIT Kharagpur, IIT Varanasi and IIT Roorkee. One of the most important eligibility for appearing in the AAT is to qualify JEE Advanced. However, it is important for every candidate to note that admission to undergraduate architecture courses will not be as on AAT rank or score rather it will be based on the candidate’s rank in JEE Advanced.

AAT 2023 Application Form

The authorities will release the AAT application form 2023 on June 18. Candidates will have to fill out and submit the JEE Advanced AAT 2023 application form before the final date i.e., June 19. No other mode will be used by the authorities to accept the AAT application form. While filling out the application form, the candidates will have to enter the required details and select their choice of exam centre from the available list. Submission of the form has to be done by the candidates to be registered for the upcoming exam.

AAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are advised to check the AAT eligibility 2023 before applying for the examination. The criteria have been listed below for the candidate's reference:

  • Candidates should have qualified JEE Advanced 2023
  • Along with securing a valid rank in JEE Advanced, the candidates should also meet the basic academic eligibility criteria of the examination. 

AAT 2023 Syllabus

The authorities have released the official syllabus of AAT 2023. Candidates can check the list of topics that has to be studied for the examination through the AAT syllabus 2023. By knowing the syllabus beforehand, the candidates will be able to plan out their study and preparation process.

AAT 2023 Exam Pattern

The details regarding how the entrance examination will be held are available through the AAT exam pattern 2023. Candidates are advised to be familiar with the AAT 2023 exam pattern so that they are comfortable during the examination day. AAT 2023 will be held as a pen-and-paper-based test to assess the aptitude of the candidates for BArch admissions.

AAT 2023 Preparation Tips

Some of the important preparation tips for AAT 2023 have been given below.

  • Firstly, the candidates are advised to know their syllabus and exam pattern of AAT 2023 well. This will help them to know what has to be studied and how the examination will be conducted.
  • A personalized timetable has to be prepared so that the candidates are able to cover the entire syllabus well before the examination.
  • Mock tests have to be conducted regularly so that the candidates understand their commonly made mistakes and work on it.
  • Revision has to be done in order to not forget whatever has been studied by the candidates.

AAT 2023 Admit Card

IIT Bombay will not release AAT admit card 2023. Candidates will be required to present their JEE Advanced 2023 admit card at the examination centre. Without the admit card, the candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre. Details regarding the allotted exam centre and other instructions will be notified to the candidates. JEE Advanced 2023 admit card has been released online on August 23. 

AAT 2023 Result

AAT 2023 result will be declared by the authorities on June 25. The/ qualifying status will be available through the AAT result. Candidates are advised to download and print the result for future reference.

AAT 2023 Counselling

Candidates who qualify AAT 2023 will have to participate in the JoSAA 2023 counselling and seat allotment process. During the process, the candidates will have to register and fill in their choice of colleges and courses. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's rank, preferences and availability of seats. After the allotment is announced, the candidates will have to complete the admission process within the given timeline.

BArch Course at IITs

AAT is conducted for admission to BArch courses conducted by IIT Varanasi, IIT Roorkee and IIT Kharagpur. For admission to architecture in any of the three IITs, candidates must qualify JEE Main then JEE Advanced and then AAT 2023.
