What's new at IIT Kharagpur?

• JEE Main registration for Phase-I extended till April 25.
• JEE Advanced 2022 exam date has been postponed. The exam will be now held on August 28. Application form will be now released on August 7.

IITKGP offers a four-year BTech programme across 15 specialisations along with a five-year Integrated MTech programme across 16 specialisations. Apart from these two courses, it also offers BTech in parent department combined with MTech in Entrepreneurship Engineering via Rajendra Mishra School of Engineering Entrepreneurship (Coordinating Department) and a BTech in parent department combined with MTech in Financial Engineering via Vinod Gupta School of Management (Coordinating Department).

• Total fee: INR 8.49 lakh

IIT Kharagpur BTech Admission 2022: Eligibility and Selection

IIT Kharagpur BTech admission is completely entrance and counselling based. In order to be eligible for admission to IIT Kharagpur for BTech, candidates must have the following:

• Eligibility: Aspirants who have completed Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate in PCM are eligible to pursue BTech courses
• Selection: JEE Main + JEE Advanced + JOSAA Counselling

IIT Kharagpur BTech Application Process 2022

In order to apply for BTech and Integrated MTech at IIT Kharagpur, students are required to apply via JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced application. The process of application for JEE Mains 2022 consists of three steps, i.e registration, form filling & documents upload followed by payment of application fees.

Step 1: Open the official website (jeemain.nta.nic.in) and click on the ‘Registration for JEE (Main) 2022’ link.

Step 2: Fill the registration form with the required information followed by clicking on the submit button.

Step 3: Fill the detailed application form and upload scanned images and documents.

Step 4: Pay the application fees.

Documents required to fill JEE Main 2022 application form

Before the JEE Main 2022 registration process, students must keep the following documents and information ready for a smooth application process:

• Valid email-id and mobile number
• Academic details related to the Class 10 and Class 12 qualifying exams
• Scanned copy of category certificate (if applicable)
• Scanned copy of PwD certificate (if applicable)
• Scanned photograph and signature as per the specification mentioned by the NTA
• Net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI details for application fee payment
