In order to get admission for BTech course at IIT Roorkee, students are required to apply via JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced application. Before the JEE Main 2025 registration process, students must keep the following documents and information ready for a smooth application process:

STEP 2: Release of Cutoff List
After the JEE entrance exam is conducted successfully, the cutoff list is released to declare the minimum qualifying marks required for selection. The cutoff marks vary for each of the BTech specialisations.
STEP 3: JoSAA Counselling
Candidates who meet the minimum cutoff have to take part in the JoSAA counselling. For each round of counselling, a separate cutoff list is released. It is carried out until all the seats are filled. Further, if the seats are left vacant after these rounds of counselling, then those are filled through CSAB counselling.
STEP 4: Reporting for Admission
Those who are offered admission must report to the institute with original copies of academic and personal details. After successful verification, students must pay the fees to confirm their admission.
