I am satisfied with my college majorly due to the amazing campus life and fests.

Placements: The placement is quite average in our branch but companies like BPCL and HPCL visit our college for recruitment. Less number of students got internships and that too in software side, core internships are less as compared to software internships. But placement is quite good.

I'm satisfied with my college because everything is good until you don't try something to do.

Placements: I'm from the 2022-2026 batch (metallurgy department). Here in the first session of placements, only 18 students got placed (on campus). Out of 73 which means it's a very less compared to other branches and everyone is trying to get an IT job not looking for a core job which makes it difficult to get core companies.

Good campus life and opportunities.

Placements: Around 65% of students get on-campus placements and many others get off-campus placements. In my course, placements range from 8 LPA to 40 LPA. L&T and Shapoorji Pallonji are major recruiters. Only 8 out of 151 (5.3%) got on-campus internships. On-ground engineer and field consultant are the main roles offered.

It has a very good campus and it is extremely beautiful.

Placements: The top role offered is software engineering, following which are the core roles. It also offers analyst roles. Placements are average because the salary package offered by the companies is not much as it ranges from 10-12 LPA. Major companies in civil engineering are L&T, BHEL, and various PSUs.

IITR EE review I shared my experience.

Placements: For circuital branches, good placements are available. In Electrical Engineering, around 125+ out of 165 students get placed every year. The average package is 20 LPA. Companies from various sectors, including software, tech, consultancy, and electronics, visit the campus and allow EE students to sit for tests. Most students opt for software roles, with a few choosing core roles, and the number of core placements is increasing every year.

Student culture at IIT Roorkee is a blend of academic pressure and vibrant activities.

Placements: The placement percentage is quite good, with about of students getting placed. In my branch, Civil Engineering, the highest package is around 45 LPA to 50 LPA, and the lowest can go up to 7 LPA, with the average remaining at about 15 LPA to 20 LPA. Very few students get internships from core fields like Civil, most students learn skills like ML, web development, consultancy, etc. For internships, the top roles offered in Civil Engineering are in consulting and project management.

A good college and worth the money paid.

Placements: As far as ECE is concerned, placements have been around 70-75% with few high packages and foreign offers. Most of the ECE students take up placements in Software Development roles. While 15-20% do go towards the core side as well with the topmost core company being Texas Instruments and Samsung Research Institute. I think around 60% of students secured internships this year with the lesser percentage in core and mostly in SDE roles.
