BSc in Fashion and Apparel Design of IIFT Bangalore is affiliated to Bangalore University. This course is a distinct collaboration of the Science and Art of Apparel studies as well as elements of design. Students will be studying the art of Fashion and Apparel Design for a period of 3 years divided into six semesters. The course focuses on both theoretical as well as Practical aspects of Fashion Design, Technology as well as Management.
Eligibility: Eligibility - For 1st Semester II PUC or 10+2 (Arts, Science or Commerce). For 3rd Semester (Lateral Entry) - 3 year Diploma in ADFT/ Textiles/ Handlooms / Costume Design & Fashion.
Admission criteria : Admissions are done based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination (12th class) and on a first come first serve basis subject to availability of seats.
So you can get the admission here directly. The total three years course fee is about Rs 675000/.

If the colleges have an entrance test, then lookout for the latest syllabus and prepare accordingly. You should also go through the last year's papers to get an idea of difficulty and the pattern of questions being asked.

Admission Policy :- The admission at Indian Institute of Fashion Technology is open for students who are keenly enthusiastic to make a career in Fashion and Apparel Industry.
Admissions are done based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination,online entrance examination and on a first cum first serve basis subject to availability of seats.
STEPS FOR ADMISSION PROCESS:
1. Download application form from the website (www.iiftbangalore.com) or obtain it through email by sending a request with your details to admissions@iiftbangalore.com.
2. Fill up the application form, affix passport size photo and sign the application form.
3. Write a statement of purpose essay in English. Explaining why you wish to enrol for this program and why you have chosen to study at IIFT. It should be hand written by the candidate in about 250 words in a plain white A4 sheet.
4. Scan the filled admission application form as well as the essay and email it to admissions@iiftbangalore.com.
5. Send the original admission application form by speed post/courier to Indian Institute of Fashion Technology, #3, 1/6, 1st Cross, M C Road, Vijayanagar, Bangalore-560079, Karnataka.
6. Make a payment of Rs.1000/- through NEFT/RTGS and send the transaction confirmation code to admissions@iiftbangalore.com
7. On receipt of the above, you will receive a user ID and password for the online entrance examination along with model questions and guidelines for the online entrance examination.
8. Date of entrance exam will be intimated by email/SMS/Mobile phone call.
9. The student has to appear in the online entrance exam as per the schedule.
10. Successful candidates will be intimated by a email regarding their selection and will be asked to obtain provisional admission by remitting a non refundable initial admission fee of Rs.30,000/- (which is inclusive of the total fee payable) within the date prescribed.
11. A provisional admission confirmation letter will be sent to the student on receipt of the above fee along with instruction for submission of original documents and balance fees.
