All about IIPE-by-IIPE students.
Placements: Placement percentage of our college is pretty good, it is about 97%. The average salary is 10 LPA, and the highest salary is 23 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our college are HPCL, ONGC, PSUs, Haliburton, etc. So many companies are there that provide good salaries. About 97% of students got summer internships from the college, and companies like HPCL and ONGC come for the summer internship program.
Infrastructure: Facilities of our college are pretty good. We have fully air-conditioned classrooms with one projector and good quality benches are there. Overall, classrooms are pretty good. Wi-Fi facilities are also there. We also have one library and that is also good for us. We also have good labs. Hostels of IIPE are pretty good as compared to any IITs or NITs. We have one shared room with two beds, two study tables, two cupboards, and two windows. Mess is also decent. We get decent quality food. Medical facility is good.
Faculty: Teachers at IIPE are very helpful in nature and they are very qualified. They have lots of knowledge to share with us and they teach very nicely. The course curriculum is very relevant. We have practical labs in our courses, so it makes us ready for the industry. Semester exams are not that difficult. We can pass the exam with good grades if we actively participate in class and revise it once a week. The pass percentage is good, it is about 50:1.
Other: I always wanted to be an engineer so I gave my JEE exam. I got into this college after clearing JEE advance. The best thing about this course is that it is very relevant at industry-level. I think some subjects should be reduced to overcome students' burdens, and some practical subjects should be added to course. IIPE organises fest every year and also does events on special days like Independence Day or Republic Day, etc.

All about IIPE Visakhapatnam.
Placements: According to the 2024 placement data, the placement percentage was around 96%. The highest package was 23 LPA, while the lowest package was less than 5 LPA. Many companies recruit at IIPE, but the top recruiting companies include HPCL, ONGC, and various PSUs. Approximately 97% of students secured summer internships in 2024, with project manager being one of the top roles.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are quite good, equipped with Wi-Fi, laboratory facilities, and a library that is relatively small for our needs. We also have a sizable sports ground for outdoor games. The IIPE hostel is among the best compared to other government colleges, offering many amenities. We have one table tennis board, two carrom boards, a gym, and water facilities on each floor. Each room is a sharing arrangement with two beds, two cupboards, two study tables, two windows, and a personal washroom.
Faculty: The teachers at IIPE are very helpful and highly qualified, possessing extensive knowledge. The quality of teaching is excellent, and they address all our doubts during class and office hours. The course curriculum is relevant and prepares students for the industry with practical labs for various experiments. The semester exams are manageable, covering topics discussed in class, and the passing marks are relatively straightforward.
Other: I always wanted to be an engineer, which is why I pursued this course. The best aspect of our program is the practical knowledge we gain, which helps us enter the industry. I believe the course should have fewer subjects but with deeper knowledge. IIPE organizes an annual fest each year, along with cultural events such as those on August 15th and January 26th, among many others. The campus population is around 500, as we don’t have a large number of students. The college provides scholarships based on caste; for SC/ST students, there are no tuition fees, and for OBC students with an income less than 1 lakh, tuition fees are also waived.

Review of Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy.
Placements: This college is more popular because of PSU. Chances of getting selected in other private companies are very less. We can definitely get into a company by learning skills on our own. We cannot completely depend on the college. The highest package here is 24 LPA and the lowest package is 3.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college itself does not have a campus, so there is no hope of campus life. The campus is being built right now. We live on one floor of another college building, so there is no other campus. The college Wi-Fi is very weak. In hostels, Wi-Fi doesn't work very well either. The hostel food is not very good. Only limited things are available to eat.
Faculty: Some professors are good. Their method of studying and understanding is amazing. Some professors target students, and then they go after them. The quality of teaching of the teachers is good. If we go to the semester exams after preparing notes and questions studied by the teachers, then semester exams are not too difficult. Professors mostly ask questions from the notes.
Other: The main reason for choosing this course is placements. Placements in this course are quite good. In future, there is also an option to go abroad after pursuing this course. There is absolutely no campus life in this college. Everything will be clear only after the college campus is built. There are only 500-600 students in total. The college head refuses to celebrate many of the fests by students. They do not pass the budget.

I am absolutely satisfied with my college placements, especially this year.
Placements: Around 98% of students get placed. The highest package is 25 LPA from ONGC followed by Oil India. The lowest package by Mordor Intelligence India Cements ranges from 3-4 LPA. The average package is 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies are ONGC, HPCL, GAIL, HRRL, and IOCL. 100% of students got internships in the core chemical engineering sector, and we got internships in the above-mentioned PSUs. The top roles offered are process engineer and grade officer.
Infrastructure: In the chemical engineering department, Wi-Fi and labs are there including a lot of special bulk fiber commodity chemicals, XRD labs, etc. Classrooms are AC equipped, including projectors, and a seating capacity of around 50 students. Library contains more than 10,000 books including the latest journals. In hostels, mess food is good by private vendors and mess charges are around Rs. 5,500. Hostels are non-AC and AC both with single sharing and double sharing and charges that range from Rs. 30,000-40,000.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They all have done masters and PhD from IITs. Some of them lack good teaching quality but are very knowledgeable. Most of them are knowledgeable and they teach well. The course curriculum is updated with the latest demands234. Computer simulations like MATLAB, Aspen, and Comsol software are also taught. Object-oriented programming, python, and C programming languages are also taught. This cumulative makes students subject-ready.
Other: I chose this course because I have always been interested in core chemical engineering jobs in particular PSU jobs. The best thing about this course is that it simply involves the basic first principles approach and those are used in the construction and operation of these massive process plants. More software could be involved would make it better. Events are conducted annually including the Shashwat techno-cultural competition. The remaining occasional events are also there like from litcom club and robotics club.

Good placements, but dissatisfied with campus life, less fests, no campus, no ground, etc.
Placements: Nearly 98% of students got placed. The highest package is 24 LPA CTC. The lowest salary is 4 LPA. Oil India and GAIL India Limited are recruiting companies. 100% of students got internships at PSU in oil and gas industry. Top role is executive trainee in Oil India Limited and GAIL India Limited.
Infrastructure: All facilities mentioned are available, and for hostel, the infrastructure is not so good. Food is from private vendors which is below average. Medical facilities are basic but you get a checkup at discount rated in good hospitals like Medicover, Apollo, etc. Sports and games are nearly nil.
Faculty: Teachers are friendly, caring, and highly skilled. The course curriculum is relevant but can be improved. It is industry-ready, only semester exams are not so difficult, they are answerable if classes are attended properly. In the course curriculum, I could suggest keeping last semester free without classes.
Other: It is related to daily life and having enough opportunities. Best things are more free time, course infrastructure, and more practical oriented courses.

A college you might have not heard about !
Placements: Average package is around 8 LPA and the highest is around 25 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies for both the branch are majorly PSU's. For chemical engineering, PSU's line IOCL, hpcl and gail visit every year and they offer package of around 18 LPA. For Petroleum Engineering, psu like Ongc visit the campus and offers the highest package. Apart from these psu's very few number of good private companies visit the campus and the package offered isn't very satisfying. College tries to send maximum student for internship at psu and other companies but most of them are unpaid.
Infrastructure: Labs are quite good here, the classrooms are equipped with a decent technology and the library does have a good number of collection of books from various fields. College and the hostels both are equipped with a good wi-fi connectivity. Hostel is very fine, as far as the food is concerned it isn't up to the mark but the same goes for every other college. Sports and games infrastructure is not good, if you are a regular player.
Faculty: The professors are highly knowledgeable and qualified. The teaching quality is excellent and they are easily approachable. Yes, the course curriculum is up to date with the industry norms and you will be industry ready if you are attentive enough with a curious mind during the classes. The semester exams aren't very difficult if you have clarity of concept and if you are attentive enough during the classes. Most of the students are able to secure decent grades.
Other: I qualified JEE Advanced examination but my rank wasn't as per my expectations and this college seemed the only option to justify my JEE preparation, so I choose petroleum engineering here and after taking the course I developed a good interest in the oil and gas industry, well thanks to the professors for making it interesting. There are good number of events which takes place once every 2 months like debate or quizzes and yearly there's one cultural and one technical fest in the campus. The hostels and the college is located at the heart of the city.
