My review about this college.
Placements: Amazon, Microsoft, and many more companies offer jobs to IIT Delhi students. For M.Sc. Chemistry, Alien offered jobs to 15 students with a good stipend. We can do projects under well-qualified professors, which enhances your capabilities to do something better. Our college is one of the top colleges in India in terms of placements. Eligibility for campus placements depends on the course you enrolled in. The highest packages are in crores sometimes, and the average is about 10–12 LPA. Depending on the number of companies visiting, it decides the number of students getting placed.
Infrastructure: In this course, we study higher Chemistry and its applications in the fields of industries, research, material synthesis, medical sciences, etc. Every aspect of this course should not be linked to the grades. Course load is more in the first year. Hostel rooms are very neat and clean. Each student has a separate room. There are 6 rooms in a unit. Each unit has a common drawing room and a kitchen. There is a mini refrigerator in the kitchen of each unit. There is a common balcony in each unit. Every unit has 4 bathrooms.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and have many years of experience. The professors have graduated from very prestigious colleges. They are highly respected in the industry and have many contacts. Most of them here have advanced degrees in their respective departments. They have a lot of knowledge and teach well. Well, you come to an IIT to be a know-it-all. So, it is about how much time and effort you can put in to improve and expand your skill set. Most of the students here hang out in labs where they enjoy working and learning.

My honest review about my college.
Placements: Our IIT is a newly established IIT. There is no pass-out batch yet. So we can't tell about placements yet but colleges provide internships. Many participate in this. I hope we get good placements due to the curriculum. 2nd year students are eligible for placements. I didn't apply for any placement. The highest package is 17 LPA and a minimum of 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: This two-year postgraduate program offers a deeper knowledge of advanced mathematics through subjects like geometry, calculus, algebra, number theory, differential equations, etc. The students become more skilled and specialized in a particular subject and are encouraged to carry out research in various fields of mathematics. The hostels are not that good as it is a temporary campus, but we have coolers two badminton courts, and good nature around us. But it is not cement construction it is steel construction. We have sufficient bed and room space.
Faculty: It's a semester exam. M.Sc. was a 2-year program and exam held at the University Math Department. Exams are a little hard due to big theorems and theories. I passed with good marks in every term. In the first semester, there is a paper on field theory it is so hard but I got maximum marks in that subject. All are excellent but few of them have excellent conveying skills. They are friendly and they play games with us like badminton. They also participate in extracurricular activities. They encourage us. But few of them are not that good.

Good placements in 2021-2022.
Placements: Around 50-60 percent of students were placed. The highest package was 20 LPA and the lowest package was around 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies include HCL, Deloitte, Mahindra and Mahindra. Most of them got SDE roles. Overall, the placement was average.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available everywhere on the campus. Sufficient labs and classrooms are present. A decent library is present. The mess food is below average but cafes and canteens serve decent food. There is no proper ground for games like cricket and football, but each hostel has table tennis, badminton and volleyball courts. Campus has a health centre for medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good. Course curricula more consist of core electrical engineering and a small amount of electronics. Semester exams are not much difficult and the majority of the students pass the exam. So the passing percentage is above 90 percent.

Very resourceful facilities and infrastructure.
Placements: There are about 57% of students who were placed in our course. The highest package was 8 LPA. The average package was 4.5 LPA. The lowest package was 2.5 LPA. Many big and reputed companies collaborative with our institute for recruitment.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities available for our department are nice. The classrooms and labs are clean and comfortable. A well-stocked library is also present. The hostel rooms are good. The food available in the mess is not so tasty, but the quality of food is acceptable.
Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable enough and well-qualified. They provide both online and offline resources for studies. Also, all the college staff and faculty members are very cooperative and helpful. Our course curriculum is not relevant because not much happens apart from lectures.

Placements are very good.
Placements: The placement department works well and makes a target to place more than 90% of students. The highest package is 40 LPA. The average package is 15 LPA. Companies that are recruiting are Google, Amazon, Intuit, and L&T.
Infrastructure: The college campus is gorgeous and well-maintained. We have classrooms with good space, projectors, and smart boards. Labs have high-speed Wi-Fi connections. The library is well-stocked with books and journals. The hostel is very clean and we have attached washroom facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are the best thing about the college. They are highly qualified professionals and have good years of experience. The teaching quality is very good. The curriculum is well-defined and gets regularly updated with additional webinars and seminars that take place from time to time. Exams are a bit challenging and the pass rate is around 80%.

B.Tech. in Mechatronics Engineering - Batch of 2027

2Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
As of now, it is not worth coming to this college because of the below-average placements .
Placements: My name is Aayush, and I am a student in my 2nd year pursuing a B.Tech in Mechatronics Engineering. Since this branch was introduced in our college only 2 years ago and my batch is only the 2nd batch, we have to wait till our seniors get placed before giving an opinion about the placements in this course. But considering the placement rates in already established courses like CSE, DSAI, ME, and EE for IIT standards, it is not going great as of now. Certainly the expectations for our course are high since the demand in robotics and industry 4.0 is increasing so by the time our seniors pass out, companies offering decent packages will start hiring.
Infrastructure: Since IIT Bhilai is one of the newly established 3rd generation IITs, the facilities and infrastructure are great, and our permanent campus has just been built. There are various departments for the courses equipped with all the new equipment, and the infrastructure is unique with some cultural influences from Chhattisgarh. We also have a common engineering department that has labs for all the departments and each of the classrooms is well equipped with Wi-Fi. We also have a 4-floor library with all the facilities. So, yes, the infrastructure will not disappoint. Talking about hostels, we have a total of 4 hostels on our campus: 2 hostels for boys, 1 hostel for girls and 1 more for Ph.D. research scholars and married students. The hostels are also nice; I'd say better than some old IITs, obviously. And there is one common mess for all the students. The quality of the food is okay. The facilities for sports and games are nowhere near the quality as compared to holder IITs. Still, there is work to be done, like we don't have separate grounds for cricket and football, and for badminton, the courts have been built recently, but we have recreational rooms in each hostel for basic indoor games like TT, foosball, and carrom. In terms of medical facilities, we have a medical center on our campus that runs 24 hours a day.
Faculty: The course syllabus for each course is relevant and the faculty members are also helpful and have done research in their particular field. The quality of teaching is good. There are 2 exams in each semester: one is midterm, and the second is end semester. And the pass percentage for each course depends on the course and the faculty. There is a credit system; each course offers specific credit and to graduate, we need a minimum 144 credits.
Other: I chose the mechatronics course since I have a keen interest in robotics and AI/ML, and seeing the scope of this course in the near future is great. Since this branch was just introduced in our college and also because this branch is niche since we are the first IIT to introduce this branch for B.Tech. So the alumni network is not that strong and the crowd is also very small, so it would be better if we had a good alumni network to guide this branch. The college fest also takes place every year, named 'Meraz', which is great with many events taking place.
