It's a good college for placements.
Placements: As a developer, software engineer, and associate engineer, many positions were offered by the college. Non-teaching roles were also provided in this college, which was a great experience. The percentage of students was 60%. The highest package offered was 10 LPA, and the lowest was 2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The food, canteen, games, and sports were the best. In college, we had labs for practice, classrooms, a library, and a doubt section. Many facilities were provided by the college to students. In the hostel, the food quality was very good and very hygienic. The hostel was well maintained and good.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful. Their qualifications were in Masters. They were well-experienced lecturers, and their knowledge was also very good. The teaching quality was excellent. Semester exams were easy to crack, and there were no difficulties in the exams. The pass percentage was above 60%.
Other: Activities also good.

Change the approach towards education.
Placements: There is such a low percentage of placements. Out of 750 students, only 100–120 get placed, with most jobs offered by TCS. The highest package is 9 LPA offered by TCS, and the lowest is 2 LPA offered by Cognizant. Internships are mostly namesake, provided by training institutions rather than legitimate companies. The top internship is offered to only one student by Texas Instruments, with a stipend of Rs. 45,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Labs are very old-school not much quality and upgrades. Equipment is transferred from here to there. I understand that some old tools are necessary for learning basics, but completely driving into them alone is the route to irrelevant. The hostel food is decent, and rooms are also very mid-level. The canteen is managed by a private family and is very much better for that price. The medical facilities are well. Sports are a hit or miss, while good training and coaching are provided, but for normal students to try their luck there is not much encouragement. Wi-Fi facility is bad.
Faculty: Most teachers are egoistic and not much well-versed in their subjects. In some labs, attenders explain concepts better than the Ph.D. holders. The overall approach is very old-school, with no real encouragement for gaining knowledge, it's all about marks. The curriculum is most nonsensical, including random subjects out of MBA content, that too in a very washed syllabus. Exams are easy only if the model paper is helpful, otherwise, VTU papers are very weird.
Other: I chose Electronics and Communication branch. The best thing about it is the subject itself, it's very diverse and realistic even in today’s AI time. Its logical approach and working is a marvel to study unless you have a boring lecturer. But, 1 out of 10 teachers is usually of good quality. The college needs better outreach and strategy to make students care about the stream, rather than forcing random webinars. The campus is very peaceful and located in a quiet hilly area, giving off a very old-school vibe. Events are not bad according to tier-2 city college standards, they do their best.

As it is a good college, one can join and make out their career with good infrastructure.
Placements: The company drives will come to campus, like TCS, which hires the most. The top package of the current batch is 14 lakhs, so with good skills, one can achieve great success. You will receive guidance for internships and projects, and our college has achievements as a VTU rank holder. Additionally, scholarships are available for great academic achievements each year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is nice, with Wi-Fi facilities and good bus services. The campus includes a library, smart classrooms, a nice playground, and hostel facilities. There is also a pleasant forest breeze and good labs for civil and mechanical engineering, including a gym and other amenities.
Faculty: The teaching staff varies by department, but in our department, the teachers are good and help solve problems. They encourage career development, serve as good mentors, and facilitate learning new things, improving leadership skills and understanding. The staff members are friendly and eager to teach, making good use of the facilities available.
Other: The college conducts excellent webinars and events to enhance technical skills. The fest called Janavey is celebrated with great enthusiasm. As it is a good college, one can join and build a successful career with good infrastructure.

I am satisfied with the teaching by lectures and by sports. It is excellent in some conditions.
Placements: About 40-50% of students get placed in the last 2 years. The highest package is 15 LPA. The lowest package is 1.5 LPA. Maybe TCS recruits students from the college compared to other companies. Maybe 50% of students get internships from our course because it has started recently in our college. CSE is the main course, and in the upcoming days, AI ML will be the top course in our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. We have a separate library for studying, and it has a good infrastructure, and that can be very good in the coming days. The canteen is having cleanliness. Recently, VTU sports have been conducted in our college.
Faculty: Exams are taken very seriously, and before exams, teachers motivate students. They give tips on how to manage the time. Semester exams depend on every particular student. How the student understands the topic or the subject, the exam goes on the student's based knowledge. The course which I am presently learning is very good.

A brief review of JNNCE, Shimoga.
Placements: After the 6th semester, students are eligible to participate in placements. More than 60% of students get placed. Most startups come for hiring. Every year, TCS conducts mass hiring, in which they hire students in bulk. Students from technical branches get placed more.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure-wise, college is good. Every branch has its building and separate labs. The campus is large and full of greenery. A cricket ground, throwball court, and indoor game facilities are present. The canteen is also present inside campus.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, as most of them are Ph.D. graduates. The teaching quality is also good. In every semester, there are 2-3 internal tests for both lab and theory subjects, along with one final and external exam. There are a total of 8 semesters for engineering.
Other: I have chosen computer science and engineering as it is one of the most booming sectors in India. One thing I wish would be better about the course is that it concentrates more on the practical parts rather than the theoretical part. In the college, every year there is a college fest called Janvey, which includes ethnic day and musical night, different events including both technical and non-technical events, sports, etc., where students can showcase their talents and win prizes.

College is not too much good or too much bad, we cannot say.
Placements: The highest package offered here is up to 15-18 Lacs. Among 60%-70% of students got placed in a well-known company. Top companies such as Accenture, TCS, LinkedIn, and other good companies recruit students here. I don't know about internships, but some senior students say 50% of students go for an internship. ECE students are more for jobs compared to other branches.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good and we can say it's the best because the campus is so cool and silent there are more trees and the campus is so clean. There is a system is every single thing on campus. When we talk about facilities the college provides Wi-Fi. Classrooms are not good looking because the college is 50 years old but classrooms are very clean. Hostel is very dirty and we have to clean our rooms but in other college hostels, the workers are there to clean. The hostel food is no good and there is a lack of hygiene.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and they have so much experience and knowledge about the concepts. But the exceptions are there not all professors are well experienced some do not even know a single thing about the subject. They provide us with important questions at the end of mid-semester and end-semester, they conduct two internal tests and 3 lab exams.
Other: Every year they conduct an event called Janvey and other such technical events. Technical events are conducted twice a week.
