Fairly satisfied with the campus but placements are average.

Placements: Placements in our college are average. The ROI is very low as compared to other colleges. Moreover, SIPs offered are definitely not up to the mark. It is a student-driven society, thus creates a bit problem. Companies visiting the campus for placements are up to the mark for tier 2 colleges.

Average college, but self development opportunities are present.

Placements: The placements are pretty okay for the senior batch. Nearly, 20 students are not placed. Finally, 25 percent of the students got a package in the range of 6.5 to 8 lacs per annum. In summers, almost everyone got placed. Nearly, 15 percent students didn't get any stipend. Good companies will come to the campus for the placements.

Try to get something better.

Placements: Lot of big brands come here. They offer packages for tier 2 colleges. For more or less same role, packages offered by these companies vary hugely. One happy news is everyone gets placed. Problem is placement process is not transparent and sometimes creates issues.

Mediocre pay, okay profile, poor learning atmosphere, no professionalism.

Placements: Pay is mediocre however profile which comes to campus are not MBA profiles. 20% people end up with good profile, however 60-70 % end up in BFSI and IT is random profile. Finance is good for learning and placement. Operations is small batch with good profiles, but you should have a strong background to sell urself. Marketing is huge batch with aot on luck. HR is a straight no at SIMSR with no placement. Avg 9.5-10 l, the highest 26l, with 10 fix, 4 variable, remaining favorites and ESOP.

Satisfaction level post attending the college is below average as compared to what I had dreamt.

Placements: The college provides you less than average placement. It has almost completed 40 years, and with that sort of experience it should have huge alumni connect, and the expectation should be very high, but the college has achieved nothing of this sort. Meer focus is on getting the number of placements, the quality and brand take a back seat, and students are forced to sit in certain companies, and if they try to tank the process, they are banned from companies. Having said that not everything is bad...

The honest review of SIMSR PGDM.

Placements: It is a tier 2 college with an inexperienced TPO and placement team. The placements are good only for freshers but not for experienced people. 90% of the batch gets placed between 8 LPA to 9.5 LPA regardless whatever they claim. Do not expect high paying companies. Only a handful of companies come and take 1 or 2 persons. Most of the companies that visit are BFSI companies for finance or marketing. Operations and HR to depend on other stream companies only for placements.

K.J Somaiya offers a plethora of opportunities to grow and learn.

Placements: Placements are good. Not all the candidates got the profile they wanted. However, not everyone earns as much as expected. Most of the companies offered a package below the average package offered by the college. Live project opportunities are many though.

Good campus but requires better faculty members and facilities.

Placements: Totally, it depends on the placement committee. Though a vast alumni network is there, the placements are not great. Overall, the placements are not bad though. Good companies come to recruit finance and marketing students. For HR, the scenario is a bit bleak given a handful of students.

The college has a good infrastructure and a challenging environment, but overall college is ok.

Placements: The placements for our seniors was from average to good, and almost 80% of the batch was placed with a decent package and with a good profile. However, the rest of the 20% of the people had to compromise on either a good package or on the profile preferences. The placements are ongoing for the current batch and are also good considering the recent market scenario.

Dissatisfied with education as no practical exposure, only theoretical

Placements: The average is 8.5 and 70% got placed till December. Roles offered are more of sales and marketing. The highest stipend is 160000 in finance. For marketing, the highest is 7000 and the average is 9000. There are more sales profiles and marketing people not happy with the profiles being offered. Companies like Henkelp, Radio Mirchi, Kora, Morgan Stanley and JPMC visited.

Very decent college. Just do MBA here for the sake of it.

Placements: 95 percent of students got placed but the quality of profiles is not good. The average salary is low and facts of placement salaries are hidden while some are not counted. Very less reputed companies are coming and the process of placement is mismanaged. The bug company which comes takes only 1-2 candidates.

The college has good infrastructure and subjects in the field of marketing communications. The college provides us good facilities. Marketing communication gives us an all-round learning and development. SIMSR supports students in their career to aim big and help them with all the support required.

GGS College of Modern Technology is no doubt one of the oldest Engineering College in nearby areas. It was established in 2002. The infrastructure of this college is incredible. The faculties are very much supportive but most of them are very young and inexperienced. Although, a slight improvement in the method of delivery of lectures is needed because a true engineer is one who is clear with the fundamentals of all the subjects. One more improvement should be done by this college that a keen in...

This institute is known as SIMSR in popular parlance. While the faculty and pedagogy is mediocre at best, the quality of students for the PGDM course is good. Peer learning is good. But of late, the institute has severely increased its batch strength, resulting in dilution of brand and compromise of placements. It’s a value for money for freshers.

It is a decent tier 2 college with average ROI but bad management.

Placements: The average salary package offered was 9 LPA, and the median salary package offered was 8.5 LPA. Out of 480, 200 students were offered with a salary package of 8 to 10 LPA. Companies offering a salary package of less than 6 LPA are not allowed, but it is not correct. The placement committee does a lot of politics. They hide information and give preference to their friends. Management and TPO don't care, and they just want everyone to get placed without considering the salary package and profile ...

It is a good college with great potential.

Placements: All students of the senior batch received placements. The average salary package offered was around 8 LPA. The mass recruiters were IT and BFSI (sales), and the same in this year as well. Around 70 students yet to receive placements but it should be 100%. Mostly sales profiles are offered here.
