A:
{Source: B.Pharma students & alumni}

Is it worth pursuing B.Pharm at KIET Ghaziabad?

After analyzing the reviews from multiple students and alumni, here's what stands out:

Pros:
* Good placement record: Most students reported that over 80% of students get placed, with packages ranging from INR2.5 Lacs to INR7.8 lakh.
* Industry connections: Several companies like TCS, Alembic, Cipla, and Sun Pharma visit the campus for recruitment.
* Well-qualified faculty: Professors are described as "well-qualified", "knowledgeable", and "helpful".
* Infrastructure: Facilities are deemed satisfactory, with air-conditioned classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a vast library.

Cons:
* Curriculum limitations: Some students felt that the course curriculum could be improved, particularly in terms of practical knowledge.
* Limited internship opportunities: Although most students reported getting internships, some noted that they weren't as rewarding as desired.

Overall, while there are some areas for improvement, the majority of students and alumni seem satisfied with their experience at KIET Ghaziabad. The institution appears to offer good placement prospects, industry connections, and competent faculty. However, it may benefit from refining its curriculum and providing more enriching internship opportunities. Overall, it is a good college. I suggest students get admission here.
Placements: Overall, placements are average in our college. In the CSE course, there are good placements. The highest package is 30 LPA. The average package ranges from 5-6 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, etc. Many students get internships from the college.
Infrastructure: Overall, it has a small campus. The infrastructure is average. The college provides full Wi-Fi labs, a library, and AC classrooms. The infrastructure is old but good hostels are available. The food quality is average and a variety of food is available. There are sports, a canteen and medical facilities. Everything is available on the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful for placements. They are well qualified. Their teaching quality is relatable to the company. The course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are not very tough. We have to study hard to crack semester exams and if we want to sit in placements.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest. The best thing about this course is the good coding culture. I think it should improve the staff members' behavior and teacher and student bonding. Many fests and events are organised from time to time. The campus is crowded. It has a good connectivity. Scholarships are available here.

B.Tech. in Information Technology - Batch of 2027

3Placements5Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Satisfied with my college, but dissatisfied with the curriculum.
Placements: My branch is information technology. If I talk about my branch then the last batch of my department i.e., 2024 batch saw a placement percentage of about 70%. About 150 students got placed out of 210 students with an average package of about 5 LPA - 5.5 LPA which is quite decent for a tier 3 college. The current batch i.e., 2025 passout also has similar states. I don't have much knowledge about other branches, but I have heard that the placement of core CSE and CS branches is going better than my branch. That's all for placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good at KIET as compared to other nearby colleges in Ghaziabad. All labs, classrooms and library and even the mess of hostels are fully equipped with ACs which offer a comfortable environment for studying. Labs and classrooms are made with proper charging points and all the relevant equipments related to the subject. Separate floors are provided for different departments in various blocks on the campus. I am residing in the hostel for two years so I can happily say that the hostel facility is pretty much satisfactory with all the facilities.
Faculty: Actually, my college is affiliated with AKTU University. So all the course curriculum is based on AKTU's syllabus. The quality of teachers is kind of mixed like every college. But most of them are helpful to the students, whether it comes to study material, internals, etc. When it comes to semester exams, they are entirely based on the previous year's question papers. However, sometimes there is an entirely different question paper in one or two subjects, which makes it hard for students to attempt all the questions. The pass percentage is average in AKTU.
Other: I chose this course as I wanted to work in the tech sector after my graduation. As for improvement, I wish that the curriculum of my college would be based on current industry demands, not like the current 20 years old AKTU syllabus. But one important thing I want to add is that now KIET has become an autonomous institute from the 2024 batch (sad to be from the 2023 batch), so now they have designed the entire curriculum based on industry demands. The syllabus is totally focused on skill development from the first year itself.

The last best option is AKTU counseling.
Placements: Approximately 85% of final-year students are placed. The average package is 5.5LPA, and the highest package is 60 LPA grabbed by a student of CSE-AI branch. Some of the top companies are Wipro, Juspay, Tata Motors, Amazon, etc. Internship opportunities are not that much here. Students have to work very hard to get any of them.
Infrastructure: My department is AI so we are offered decent yet sufficient facilities with average infrastructure available in our department equipped with free Wi-Fi, a library, and all. All other facilities in the hostel are okay, not that bad or good. There are 4 canteens on the campus, and have very good sports facilities also. They offer a varity of games and sports.
Faculty: Faculty members are okay. Few of them are knowledgeable and highly qualified. The curriculum they are providing is quite relevant and they are making students industry-ready to some extent. Semester exams are not that much difficult, they are of normal difficulty level. The passing percentage is 30% at least.
Other: I got this course based on my JEE Main rank and as per AKTU counseling. The best thing about this course is that it is currently highly in demand and a decent salary is granted to the students who have knowledge and skills related to the course. Fests and other events are rare. I haven't seen any of fest since last 6 months of my first year. One or two sports fests are happening I guess in a year here.

The college has good infrastructure, the best placement, and a fest. So, you can join it.
Placements: Approximately 90% of students have been placed in my branch at the end of the 4th year, with a maximum package of 60 LPA and the lowest package of 3 LPA. The average package is 5 LPA-6 LPA, and the median is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Accenture, Wipro, UKG, Cisco, Walmart, Tech Mahindra, and many more. About 30% to 40% of students got internships at the end of the 3rd year. The top roles offered in my course are system engineer, software developer, software tester, and programmer. Overall, placement is good in this college if you are a sincere student and have a decent CGPA of more than 7.
Infrastructure: A separate block (G block ) is given to the IT branch, where each year students have their separate computer labs, physics labs, and IoT lab. Wi-Fi is available throughout the college, and the Wi-Fi speed is good. Each student has been given a 100 GB per month limit on internet data. The classroom is fully air-conditioned, with a smart board and very good infrastructure. A central library is given where all the hostellers can access till 2 AM at night. The library is very good and fully air-conditioned, with high Wi-Fi speed. In the first year, boys are allotted to the CV Raman Hostel and girls are allotted to the Gargi Hostel. The mess food is decent.
Faculty: All the teachers are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable in the field of their subject. They are very supportive, except for some. Some teachers are also strict. Teaching quality is best. Now that the college has become autonomous, the subjects are updated according to the latest industry demand and placement. So, the course curriculum becomes relevant and makes students industry-ready. There are 5 exams in each semester: Pre-CT1, MSE 1, Pre-CT2, MSE 2, and End Semester Exam. The exams are moderate, and you can get a good CGPA if you study 3-4 days before the exam. The pass percentage is around 5 CGPA. Overall, the curriculum is good.
Other: IT is the best course, and also it is the oldest branch of this college. They have the best faculty members and facilities. Placements in this branch are the best. The subjects are industry-related in this branch. All is good in my branch, no improvements needed. The biggest fest, Epoque Prastuti, is held in my college, which is the biggest fest in Delhi NCR. A sports fest called Rann happens each year. The 18 acre campus has all facilities like a football ground, basketball ground, cricket ground, badminton court, table tennis, carrom board, and many more. The surroundings are the best, having greenery, trees, and plants everywhere. Scholarships are available for up to domicile students. The connectivity is good.

Teachers are good and supportive. The infrastructure is good.
Placements: The percentage of students who get placed is around 91-94%. The highest package is 48.89 LPA, the average is 6.5–7 LPA, and the lowest is 4 LPA (which particularly depends on the branch). Top recruiters include Amazon, Adobe, and TCS. Around 50% of students get internships. Top roles include software developer, data analyst, product engineer, and business analyst.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is overall good. Cleanliness is above average everywhere. Hostel food is the worst, very bad, only good during the starting and last months. Classroom AC and lab AC are available. The canteen, sports, and games are all okay.
Faculty: Since the college became autonomous last year, KIET has followed a syllabus similar to that of IITs. Teachers are good, and semester exams are not so difficult to pass. If you study just 5-6 hours a day before the exam, you will get above 7 GPA for sure. The 9-5 lectures can make us bored. The minimum attendance criteria is 75%. 82% of hostel students are in their first year.
Other: The campus is small, only 18 acres. Education-wise, everything is good because of autonomy, but college life is not so good. Hostel life can be considered the best, but the crowd is too much.

Average infrastructure, good faculty, and a nice coding culture.
Placements: More than 80% of students were placed, with the highest package from my branch being 17 LPA and the lowest 4.5 LPA, while the average is around 8 to 8.5 LPA, top recruiters are generally mass recruiters like TCS and Infosys, and 40 to 50% of students got internships in various startups as senior developers or interns.
Infrastructure: Everything is available, and there is almost every facility needed, including AC in every classroom. However, food is something you have to compromise with, and there is strictness regarding roaming outside the hostel or college past 10 P.M. There are sports rooms for badminton, lawn tennis, cricket, kabaddi, and basketball, but mostly for hostellers, not for day scholars.
Faculty: Faculty varies each year, and so does their attitude, there is too much strictness in the first year and some in the second year, but it becomes a bit relaxing in the third and fourth years. The course is now much more relevant since it is autonomous, with hackathons and various tech activities taking place from time to time. Semester exams are not very tough but are more difficult than university exams.
Other: I chose this case because my elder ones suggested it to me. I think there is a lack of practical knowledge in my year, however, my junior batches are getting it as they are autonomous now. Events are the best thing about this college.
