MICA Selection Process: PGDM

The selection process of PGDM programmes at MICA is a three-step process as shown below:

MICA PGDM-C Selection Process

Step-1: Each candidate need to take at least one of the three exams: CAT/ XAT/ GMAT

Step-2: All candidates are evaluated on the basis of MICAT which consists of 3 sections

  • Section A: Psychometric Test
  • Section B: (has 4 sub-sections) - Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, General Awareness; Divergent and Convergent Thinking
  • Section C: Descriptive Test

Step-3: Candidates shortlisted based on their performance in any of the above exams need to appear for both Group Exercise (GE) & Personal Interview (PI) round

Shortlisting Process:

  • During the shortlisting process, MICAT section A (Psychometric test) is a qualifier
  • Candidates who qualify for section A, their relative performance on CAT/ XAT/ GMAT is considered and those who obtain a valid score in this exam are considered for section B of MICAT assessment
  • Those who qualify on the basis of relative performance in Section B will have their Section C of MICAT assessed
  • Candidates who reach and clear section C, are shortlisted for GE & PI round at Ahmedabad/ Bengaluru/ Delhi/ Kolkata or Mumbai
  • The list of GE & PI candidates is prepared on the composite score formula of 50 per cent CAT/ XAT/ GMAT and 50 per cent MICAT scores

The final composite score for PGDM admission will be created based on the following weightage:
