It has excellent faculty members who will encourage you and will work with your best potential.

Placements: NIFT provides better placements in the fashion industry than any other fashion institute. However, in the previous year, the placement percentage went down drastically to around 30% only. College says that this was because many students got offers through pre-placement outside and some didn't attend for placements for reasons like pursuing higher studies or some planned to open a start-up their own. Among the recruiting company, most of them were start-ups and emerging brand and hardly any popul...

A good college as it enhances the whole personality of a person with great supporting mentors.

Placements: The placements were average but better than our seniors. The highest package was 35k and the lowest was 18k-20k per month. Design houses like Pankaj and Nidhi, Group indigo visited the campus. Export houses like Orient craft and Cheer sagar also visited. The roles offered to the students were as Assistant designer and Merchandisers. 65% approximately got internship from college but mostly were unpaid. Yes there was a specific group of students managing the placements.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure wise the co...

The best fashion college in India.

Placements: Placements here are good, as per industry standard than any other NIFT, it gives you a platform for your hardwork. Off campus approach is also encouraged by the faculty, as they have the contact of most industry people. A lot of bigshot companies come here along with many designers, who personally come to see your work and select a few candidates. (Like Sabyasachi).

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is nice, with continuous improvements happening over the years. The campus is small and compact and has good enou...

Review of National Institute of Fashion Technology.

Placements: Placements are good in our college. It depends on many factors that how much you will be paid. Your talent matters, but for your placements, the first thing that is very important is your portfolio. I suggest you make a good portfolio, including certificates of competitions, internships, or any other extracurricular activities. I suggest one thing a portfolio is a must for getting a well-paid job.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are well provided. One should not worry about these as NIFT provid...

But, if someone has this talent, which most students passionate about sketching and painting do possess, there is no need for coaching. One can prepare through self-study.
For your understanding, I would like to give an example.
In coaching, students are made to learn how to draw the 3D image by various techniques using measuring instruments but one who is natural at art can imagine what 3D image would look like if it has to be drawn on a paper and would draw the same.
In both cases, the outcome is the same.
Regarding theory, that is, GAT, if you are confident to solve Maths, History, Geography, General science up till class 10th level, then there is definitely no need for coaching. Though the level of English is a bit high you can improve it yourself.

Educational Qualification for Masters Programme in Design :- Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute /University recognized by law in India
or
Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT / NID.
So from above, If you have completed the three year of diploma from NIFT/NID. than can be eligible for M.Des course but can not get admission in final year of M.Des course.
Further admissions in M.Des courses are based on an entrance test conducted by NIFT.
The eligibility criteria of B.Des is 10+2 or 3 or 4-years diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of
Technical Education. So B.Des course is required 3-4 years of Engineering diploma courses of AICTE/State board of technical education. Hence you are not eligible for this course if not completed 10+2. The admissions in asked courses are also done on the basis of NIFT entrance exam.

1. Qualifying Age: Maximum age should be 23 years as on 1st October, 2019. The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for candidates of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Person with Disability (PWD) categories.
2. Educational qualification for Bachelor of Design (B.Des) Programmes (Fashion Design / Leather Design / Accessory Design / Textile Design / Knitwear Design / Fashion Communication) : The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education / State Board New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
So from above age criteria is very important. The Gap of 5 years after 12th is not a big issue because you have completed your graduation during this period. So you can be eligible if meeting the age criteria as above.
Further you are also eligible for M.Des course of NIFT because there is no age restriction for M.Des course. While the eligibility criteria is Graduation in any discipline. The admission in M.Des are also done through NIFT entrance exam.
