NEST Result 2025 OUT: Download Scorecard, Merit List, Rank Card & Percentile Score

The NEST 2025 Result will be declared on the official website of NEST on July 10, 2025. Candidates who appeared for the NEST Entrance Exam need to visit the officilal website to check out their NEST result and to download their scorecards. 

The NEST 2024 Result was announced on July 12, 2024. Earlier the exam officials mentioned the NEST 2204 result date as July 10, 2024 which was later postponed. The result was out on the official website. 

NEST merit list/ result carries the roll numbers and/or names of candidates qualifying for the integrated MSc entrance exam. Candidates will have to download their scorecards by entering their login credentials.

SMAS is used frequently in preparing the result of NEST exam. 

The full-form of SMAS is the Section-wise Minimum Admissible Score. It is the cut off marks which applicants need to secure for each section of NEST paper.

Since there are different category candidates who appear in the exam hence they have seperate SMAS.  

If two applicants will score the same percentile marks in the NEST 2024 exam then autority will consider marks of class 12th exam for tie breaking. In case of tie between the marks of class 12th exam then candidate who will be younger given preference over other who will be older. 

Though in most other exams, the older candidates get preference but in case of NEST exam, it is different. 

NEST 2024 result was released on July 12, 2024. The exam was conducted for the candidates who wish to get enrol in the integrated MSc degree programme offered by NISER and UM-DAE CEBS institutions. 

In order to download the NEST 2024 results candidates need to have the following details handy:

• Login credentails- username and password

A small error related to the qualifying percentile was found in the previous NEST 2025 scorecards and the error was resolved later on but now candidates are advised to download the revised NEST Scorecard from the login link available on the official website because only those scorecards with the issue date of July 17, 2025, will be considered valid for further admission process. 

For most of the candidates who appeared for the NEST Entrance Exam, the revised scorecard will not affect their total score or All India Rank (AIR). But as per the official notice released by NEST, all candidates are advised to download the revised scorecard to ensure accuracy for future admission steps. Note: Only scorecards with the issue date of July 17, 2025, will be considered valid. 

All the selected candidates are advised to visit the official website to be able to download their revised scorecards. Candidates need to use their login credentials and click on the login link provided on the NEST Official website to ensure the scorecard they download has the issue date of July 17, 2025.

All the selected candidates must know that it is important for them to download the revised NEST 2025 scorecard issued on July 17, 2025. Only the revised NEST Scorecard will be considered valid for all future admission processes and the previous versions will not be valid during verification.

After re-downloading the revised version by visiting the official website of NEST, candidates must ensure that the revised scorecard consists of the correct information related to their qualifying percentile and the issue date, which is July 17, 2025.

The NEST merit list will be prepared by taking into account the best scores from three subjects. The total marks for which NEST 2024 exam will be conducted is 200. 

Since each section carries 50 maximum marks, hence the final merit list be prepared out of 150 marks. The NEST cutoff marks will be prepared from this 150 marks only. 

The NEST (National Entrance Screening Test) exam scorecard typically includes important information about your performance in the exam. 1. Candidate Information:

2. Sectional Scores:

   • Scores obtained in each of the exam's sections, such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology. The scores are usually presented as raw scores or scaled scores.

3. Total Score:

   • The total score obtained in the NEST exam, which is the sum of the scores from all sections.

4. Rank:

   • Your rank or percentile among all the candidates who appeared for the NEST exam. This rank indicates your relative performance compared to other test-takers.

5. Cutoff Marks:

   • If applicable, the cutoff marks or minimum scores required for admission to specific programs or institutions. Cutoff marks may vary depending on the participating institutions and the programs you are interested in.

6. Qualification Status:

   • Information about whether you have qualified for further stages of the admission process, such as counseling, interviews, or other selection procedures. This may be mentioned if applicable.

The MAP is the overall cut off percentile obtained by the candidates in NEST 2024 exam. The highest MAP is 100th percentile. It is different for different category. As 95 percentile for the General category, 90 percentile for OBC category and 75 percentile for SC/ ST/ Divyangjan category students. 

Applicants need to secure the cutoff marks from the category they belong to, otherwise they won't be able to pass the exam. 

Applicants who will appear in NEST exam will only be able to check the result of NEST 2024. The result will be out on the official website in online mode only. 

To check the result and score card, students need to enter user ID & password. This user id and password will be generated after filling the application form. 

After downloading the result pdf, save it for future reference.  

The percentile score are the marks secured by the applicants in NEST exam in all the sections. 

Since as per new exam pattern NEST will consider marks of top three subjects out of four, in which he/she secures the maxium marks. 

The merit list of NISER and CEBS will be prepared based on percentile scores, that is calculated based on the relative performance of all the qualified candidates in each session. 

A candidate is required to score equal to or above a total Minimum Admissible Percentile (MAP) to get a merit rank. The minimum admissible percentile score varies for different category candidates. For general category applicants need to score 95 percentile marks in NEST exam.

Students who score less than the MAP would neither be allotted any merit rank nor be eligible for admission even though he/she secure SMAS in all sections.
