On Placement Overview
Q:   What was the highest package offered at Presidency College?
A:
Presidency University Bangalore's placement scenario in 2023, particularly for management students, as well as the internship opportunities offered by the university. Let's explore these aspects in more detail:
  1. the highest Package for Management Students:

    • The fact that the highest package offered was INR 13.58 LPA for management students suggests that the university has been successful in attracting high-paying job opportunities for this specific discipline. This could be indicative of the quality of education, the industry relevance of the curriculum, and the perceived skill set of management graduates from Presidency University.
  2. Average Package:

    • The average package of INR 5.21 LPA provides a benchmark for the overall placement scenario at the university. While the highest package is an impressive indicator, the average package gives a more balanced view of the general placement outcomes for students across various disciplines.
  3. Internship Opportunities After the Second Year:

    • Offering internships after the second year is a positive practice that can significantly benefit students. Internships provide real-world exposure, practical experience, and an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a professional setting. This can enhance students' employability and give them a competitive edge in the job market.

    • It would be valuable to know more about the structure of these internships—whether they are mandatory, how they are facilitated, and the types of companies or industries involved. Additionally, understanding if there is support from the university's placement cell or career services in securing these internships can be crucial for students.

Q:   Does Presidency College offer better placements than CMR Center for Business Studies?
A:
Presidency University has better placements than CMR University. In 2022, Presidency University's placement percentage was 97%, with a median salary of INR 4.0 LPA. In 2023, the university's average package was INR 5.21 LPA, with the highest package of INR 13.58 LPA. Specifically, CMR University, Christ University, and Presidency University in the context of placements for "normal category" students.
  1. Industry Connections and Corporate Relations:

    • Look into the industry connections and corporate relations of each university. A strong network with companies and industries can positively impact placement opportunities. This includes collaborations, guest lectures, internships, and placement tie-ups.
  2. Placement Records:

    • Examine the placement records of each university over multiple years. A consistent track record of high placement percentages and good median and average salary figures can be indicative of a university's commitment to providing quality education and facilitating job placements.
  3. Internship Opportunities:

    • Internship opportunities during the course can significantly enhance the employability of students. If the universities have strong ties with companies that offer internships, this can be a stepping stone to securing full-time employment post-graduation.
  4. Placement Cell Activities:

    • Evaluate the activities and initiatives undertaken by the placement cells at each university. A proactive placement cell that conducts training sessions, workshops, and provides career guidance can contribute to better placement outcomes.
  5. Global Exposure:

    • Evaluate the global exposure offered by each university. International tie-ups, exchange programs, and collaborations with foreign universities can broaden students' horizons and make them more marketable globally.

It is one of the best colleges in Bangalore in terms of studies.
Placements: In our college, the placement rate of BCA is 95%, and almost all students get offers from various companies. The highest package offered in BCA is 14 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Deloitte, Accenture, TCS, Wipro, SAP, etc. The college puts pressure on 3rd year for the internship. We have a special subject about internships in which we have to submit our overall analysis of our work and experience. Roles offered are many as BCA is a technical course so we can get many job roles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college, labs, and classrooms are fully well-furnished. Our college has 10 computer labs and 2 libraries with Wi-Fi support. Classrooms are fully ventilated. The hostel is average but the quality of food is good. Sports facilities are awesome.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable and they especially focus on our learning. The course curriculum of the BCA course is best and updated in the AI era. The college offers now specialisation in AI, ML, and data analytics. They make moderate papers. If we study, we will easily pass exams.
Other: I chose BCA because I am from a commerce background. I like coding so I got an opportunity that BCA is open for all commerce, PCB, PCMB, and arts, which anybody can do. The course curriculum should be upgraded. The Presidency College does not have campus life. The college infrastructure (building) is very small. If students want campus life then they should not come to this college. If students want to focus on their studies and want placements then this college is for them. It is one of the best colleges in Bangalore in terms of studies.

The best college from my experience in Bangalore.
Placements: I did my internship at PSU. I didn't get any stipend, but the learning was immense. I got a gist of how an organization functions and what it takes to market its products in rural and urban areas. The placement department provided opportunities and news about various companies to students through email. Interested students could proceed with the information provided by mail. The top companies that visited the campus for placements were Wipro, TCS, Birla, KPMG, Amazon, Airtel, Jio, SAP, etc. The roles offered were sales manager, data analyst, HR, etc. The percentage of students who got placed was 70%–80%.
Infrastructure: The hostel staff was very kind and cooperative. The food provided was excellent and hygienic, with both non-veg and veg options. The hostel as per facilities, was worth the expenses. I was very satisfied with the hostel facilities and chose to be in the hostel instead of choosing a PG nearby.
Faculty: In every college, there were a few ultimate faculty and some average. In my college, almost all faculty members were Ph.D. holders and had ultimate experience in teaching, except a few. We had fun in college with our studies. In the ERP class, we got a chance to improve our skills like presentations, and they taught us how to crack interviews. There were 4 semesters, and each semester had exams at the end. The exam structure was 70 marks for written and 30 marks for college internals. The course had multiple subjects like international business, marketing, human resources, business ethics, and business analytics, with an option for specialization in the second year. I opted for specialization in marketing, and teachers had highly professional knowledge in providing different case studies.

Good college with arrogant teachers hod and principal .
Placements: One of average college for doing your under graduate. They tells that they will provide 100% placement but they provide 90% placement that to not in the field related to your degree the highest package was 6lakhs and the lowest waste 3.5lakhs Top recruiting company was concentrix accentrix and accenture.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good but the AC are not working even after multiple complain In hostel it is good but for food they will only provide the quantity they want even if you are hungry they will simply deny to give the food. And the warden is not good he will try to make false image of a student.
Faculty: All the teachers are good qualified even they will help through the degree years without any hesitation but some teachers are arrogant There is no difficult in exam if you have studied properly. And if you have not studied you will face difficult and even you cannot pass.

Satisfied with the college because of the faculty members.
Placements: The role offered is financial analyst. The average package is 3 LPA to 12 LPA. The college gives us access to multiple companies such as Diageo, Axis Bank, Accenture, and many other companies. Our placement department always tries to give us the best package.
Infrastructure: The classes are well-equipped with Wi-Fi, AC, and projectors. The libraries consist of all kinds of study materials. The staff is also always helpful and they assist you with the right materials. The quality of food is moderate quality where you get good cheap food regularly. It is available for all the students at a very minimal price.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and they are very understanding. They come with good preparation for the class and they support mentally. The semester exams depend on how you study and it's amazing. Teachers monitor our actions strictly which leads us to keep our concentration completely on what we are doing.
Other: The campus life consists of fests, events, and fleamarts regularly that give the students a chance to express their creativity. Also, the college gives the students a chance to attend other college fests too.

Can do much better. Overall, a cozy atmosphere. Basketball court is available, but no other sports can be played.
Faculty: Faculty is good enough. Good teaching experience in general. The accounts faculty should improve and become more responsible. Teaching faculty is very kind and helpful. Generally positive, with students and alumni praising the faculty members for their support, attentiveness, and qualifications.
