B.E. in Information Science and Engineering - Batch of 2027

Our college is good surrounded by a full green environment, which is good for studying.
Placements: I am a part of the information science and engineering programme, batch of 2027. The course focuses on almost all placements. They have given a weekly one-class for placement purposes in HRD classrooms from the 1st year, they train us for placements and more about academics, and they also conduct mock interviews from the 5th semester itself. Placements are good, we can crack it.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for our course is excellent. Classrooms are spacious and equipped with smart TVs and high-speed Wi-Fi. Labs are well-maintained with modern equipment, and the library offers a wide range of books and digital resources. The department also provides access to coding labs and seminar halls for presentations and workshops. The hostel facilities are among the best. Rooms are clean and well-ventilated.
Faculty: Faculty are very good, they support in all ways, and this autonomous college, so we get exams from our college, but they only prepare the questions. They are teaching in an exemplary way, and they give you practical knowledge. The syllabus is good, it helps us to get placements.

It has a balanced tech journey with good opportunities.
Placements: I am from the 2025 batch of B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering at SJBIT. Overall, my experience at the college is quite good, with decent academic support and placement opportunities. Around 80% of students from our course got placed. The highest package offered is 12 LPA, and the average package offered is 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our department has good Wi-Fi, modern labs, smart classrooms, and a well-stocked library. Hostels are decent with clean rooms. Mess food is good. Medical facilities are available too. Sports facilities are good and active. It also includes a gym at an affordable price.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good, with practical exposure and smart boards. The course curriculum is mostly relevant and helps in building industry-ready skills. Semester exams are moderately difficult, with a 95% pass rate.
Other: I chose this course due to my interest in tech and coding. The best part is the practical learning and placement support. The syllabus could be updated more often. The campus has good tests, a friendly crowd, average connectivity, and decent extracurricular activities.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) - Batch of 2019

Not the best but a good college.
Placements: There were sixty students in our class, and among them, none got placed because we didn’t receive any placement opportunities due to corona. But yes, the previous batches and current batch students are getting placed, and that too in fewer numbers.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course or department were quickly accessible and available all the time. The canteen food was well maintained and hygienic. I have no idea about games or sports because we were not taken out to play, and I have no idea about the hostel as I wasn’t a hostel student.
Faculty: Teaching used to be dependent on the teachers, and the quality was good itself. Extracurricular activities often used to take place, but there were no industrial visits for our batch. Exams were quite easy and could be passed if studied one day before the exam.
Other: I chose MBA to have a Master's Degree. Events, fests, and scholarships are always taken care of. An average college.

B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2027
3.4
4Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Our college provides average placements and quite a good ROI.
Placements: The placement percentage is close to 60 - 70 %. The highest package this year was 12 LPA and the lowest was 3.25 LPA with the average package ranging between 4.0 - 5.5 LPA. Few product-based companies and more services visit here. Internship opportunities are rare and ordinary and that too starts after the 6th sem. The roles offered are also not very promising and they hire for smaller roles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is kind of average but the labs are really good and have high-level systems along with quite a large space for many students. The Wi-Fi speed in the labs is quite good. The library is quite spacious with all possible books and journals available. Books can be borrowed for 14 days and the late fine is Rs. 1 per day. The hostel infrastructure is above average. Rooms are quite spacious with 2 and 3-sharing options. They provide a bed, chair, table, and a spacious wardrobe. The mess meal is below average with both the north and south Indian menu.
Faculty: Some of the professors are quite well-trained but some are old fashioned and not that knowledgeable. The curriculum followed is quite old-fashioned and very little exposure to newer technology trends. Semester exams are quite easy. The pass percentage is around 95% or above. Studying a week before exams is enough and the paper is not that difficult. Professors' notes are enough to score above 8 pointer.
Other: The student intake is only 180 per branch and the on-campus competition is much less which is great. The newer technology courses have been introduce recently but for some of the courses, professors are not that skilled. There are two fests a year but one has not been conducted for 2 years. Events are quite average. They don't call celebrities for fests and night fests are not conducted.

THIS COLLEGE IS DEFINITELY WORTH WHAT YOU PAY. NICE COLLEGE THAT TEACHES INDIAN CULTURE TO STUDENTS.
Placements: In my college, more than 90% were placed two years ago, before 2024, but recently, due to the downfall of the software industry, it has decreased to 65%. However, by the time I complete my engineering and all eight semesters, I may see an amazing boom in the software industry.
Infrastructure: All the infrastructure is amazing, and greenery is present all over the campus. There are small issues in the bathrooms, like no water sometimes, and that's the only thing I’ve faced. As my friends say, the Wi-Fi in the hostel is not good, with no network for any SIMs. However, the hostel food is awesome, and they even provide snacks daily.
Faculty: The teachers at SJBIT Kengeri, Bangalore, are extraordinary. Almost all the faculty members have a lot of experience in teaching, and most of them have received their doctorates. They also arrange parent-teacher meetings after every internal exam. It’s great to be in this college.
Other: I chose this course because I thought it was a good way to earn and become a software employee. I took CSE because I love games and wanted to develop a game. My parents also encouraged me to choose this course. There are many fests happening in my college.

It has average placements, average ROI, and average infrastructure.
Placements: Placements percentage is close to average and about 70% of students placed each year. The highest package is 23 LPA which is offered in 2021 and that too off-campus. The average package is 4 LPA. Some companies have a bond. Not many good companies visit here and most service-based companies visit the college for placements. Even some companies pose irrelevant restrictions to hiring students like 9 or above CGPA or 90% in 10th & PUC. There are not many internship opportunities from the college side, and most are off-campus. Companies for internships are small and service-based. It might even charge for that.
Infrastructure: The campus infrastructure is average. Classrooms are good and spacious. Labs have many systems to accommodate any number of students but some of them do not have the Wi-Fi facility. The library is very good and spacious with many books. We can also borrow books for 15 days. Timings are from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM Monday to Saturday. The hostel is close to excellent and better than DSCE, MSRIT, and RVCE hostels. They are very well-maintained with 2 and 3-sharing rooms. Its closing time is 9 PM with not many restrictions. The mess food is above average with both North and South Indian food.
Faculty: Professors are average but some are very well-trained. The teaching quality is average and is not very helpful. The course curriculum followed is kind of outdated, traditional, and not helpful. Semester exams are not difficult and we can easily score well. We have 3 internal assessments and then the end-semester exams. The pass percentage is close to 95% for the autonomous batch.
Other: The college is so academically oriented and attendance is everything here. Students should maintain 85% of attendance. There is not much exposure for the industry and no hackathons even once a year. One good thing is that student intake is less and it is 240 per branch, which makes less competition on campus. Only one basketball court is available. It has very large cricket and football grounds. Badminton courts and TT tables are available in the auditorium and not everyone can access them. There are not many fests, events, and sports events. Campus infrastructure is average and campus life is not good.
