Review of Srirama Chandra Bhanja Medical College and Hospital.

Placements: At our college, almost all students were placed. There was an exam for the OPC in Odisha. The salary offered was Rs. 60,000 per month.

Infrastructure: Our college had good hostels. The infrastructure was good. There was no cleanliness in the hospital, but the hostel area was very clean and full of trees so you could have a good atmosphere to study in. There was a library and reading room with air-conditioning so you won't find any difficulty. Only the first year was a bit difficult.

Placements: A lot of our seniors crack PG entrances with a good rank.

Infrastructure: There are 4 boy's hostels for UG students, and every room has a capacity to accomodate a maximum of 3 students. The first year hostel is separate with CCTV and strict entry regulations to avoid ragging. The rest 3 hostels are assigned for students of different batches where they stay together. The combining of students of batches to stay in the room increases perspective and develops students. Standard facilities are provided in college, but the staff here do not maintain them.

Placements: Our college earlier used to assign compulsory rural posting. We had to sign a bond on a government paper that after the completion of our course, we will serve in the village hospital, failing to which would make us liable to pay a heavy penalty. However, this has not been happening for the last four years. So we have no placements per se. The doctor-patient ratio is very poor in our country, so it's pretty easy to find a job. However, most of the students go for post graduation and drop a year ...
