Review of SIMC Pune - Symbiosis Institute of Media & Communication.

Placements: I cannot provide the placements information as of now because I am in this college from few days. Due to the pandemic, we are having online classes from home so I cannot interact with the seniors who had their placements this year. As far as I have heard, the roles offered are in the production houses or content creating. Some of them prefer freelancing. Some students work in movies or television. Some make documentaries and others make advertising films.

Infrastructure: The institute has top-class facilities. The infrastructure of our college is one of the best in the country. Many films have been shot here. Our college is beautiful, picturesque and the best experience to live among nature. The hills feel like a home away from home. It is surrounded by people from all over the country and even some from abroad. It has people from all cultures and religions. The animals, especially the dogs, can be seen everywhere and all love them. The rains are constant throug...

Really good experience and would definitely recommend this college.

Placements: Above 90% students are placed unless you choose to venture on your own. The highest package was 14L and the lowest was 5L. Top recruiting companies will be Kantar, Group, Vedanta, Publicizes, Cognizant etc. 100% students got internship in companies like Jio Saavn, Group, Gozoop, Wedding Sutra, Watconsult etc. Roles offered usually involve social media manager, content manager, research associate etc.

Infrastructure: The facilities are great. No AC in the hostels and you don't need it too because it's pretty chi...

Our college provides you with good opportunities.

Placements: Our college is good for students. The highest salary package offered is 20 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Placements depend upon the performance of students not only in academics but also on personal development skills and technical skills like data analytics. All students got an internship for different job roles.

A great place in terms of faculty members, infrastructure, curriculum and peers.

Placements: Placement opportunities provided for the students of 2018 batch were extremely good and promising. Placements for the students of 2019 batch will be starting soon, and the internships provided for them have been extremely wonderful. The right mix of academics and co-curricular.

Placements: The placements according to the industry standards are good and the exposure is great. The summer internships also ensure forming the building blocks before entering the industry after the final placements. Majority of placements are in advertising agencies, research agencies and digital agencies. The average and the placements cycle have gotten better over the years.

Infrastructure: The campus is very well built and has state of the art facilities. Since it's away from the city commute to the city and back take...

The lowest package offered was 3.5 Lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies are Edelman, Grex, Vedanta, Mavcomm etc.

If you wish to join SIMC, think again.

Placements: The placement process is fair. Mostly channels, production houses come for placements. The average salary is not too high and you mostly join as a creative trainee. There is placement cell which looks after the affairs of placement procedure. Film production houses do not come placements. There is not guarantee of placements.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is mesmerizing when you first look ATIT but then it becomes dull and mundane. It's too far away from the city so travelling is major issue. Boys hostel is le...

Placements could have been better in 2015.

Placements: Most of the students from our batch got placed. The top advertising and PR agencies usually visit our college for recruitment. Apart from that, a lot of corporate firms also visit here. I specialised in PR, and during my tenure, companies like Edelman, Weber Shandwick, Perfect Relations and GBM had visited our college for placements. But major corporates which visit here mostly prefer students who have the experience, which is a bit disappointing thing. The placement cell also didn't really perf...

A great college to be in. Amazing life on the hills.

Placements: There are a number of good opportunities that are provided by the campus placements. The average package is more than the other colleges. Few companies like Sony, Viacom, etc. come every year for the placement season. There are different roles that are offered to students depending on their interest and work area. More than 90 percent students got places for their internships.

Placements: About 80% placed. Average salary was 5 Lacs per annum. Students were offered jobs in digital media mostly with few placed in print media. Almost all the students got to do internships in various fields across India. Yes the placement cell is quite useful as students play an active role in it.

Infrastructure: Great infrastructure of industry standards. 3 huge studios as well as photography studios we're present for students to practice and do their assignments. Hostels were brilliant with only one or two person ...

The college campus is on the top of a hill, which has an amazing view. There are more than five colleges and some 1000+ students residing on that luscious green hill. The food quality is good and they serve pure Maharashtrian meals. The breakfast is a must have. The faculty helps you on each step of your course as they are well qualified and make the lecture halls a lot interesting. The best part is the visiting faculty members join the institute mostly during weekends and along with the expe...

All round development at SIMC.

Placements: The highest salary in the past year was 13L PA, with the lowest being around 4LPA and the average is around 6-6.5 LPA. The top roles offered vary from specialisation to specialisation and also according to the need on the organisation. However, to name a few, brand manager, media planner, PR professional, journalist etc. 100% of students from my batch secured an internship even amidst a pandemic.

Infrastructure: In the academic block, we have great facilities of classrooms and labs for MBA students and proper studios and work stations for M.A. students. We have a Wi-Fi in the Academic block and a huge library with a set of computers in it (Apart from the ones in the computer lab). There are 2 hostels both for girls as well as the boys to accommodate us. We have a LAN system for the internet in the hostels and attached bathrooms.
