The college offers a strong IT course, supportive faculty, and fair placement opportunities.
Placements: I am an M.A. second-year information technology student at Techno International New Town, Kolkata. The college offers good infrastructure, supportive faculty, and frequent technical workshops that enhance our skills. Around 80-90% of IT students get placed each year. The highest package offered is 10 LPA - 12 LPA, and the average is 3.5 LPA - 5 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, and Accenture. Around 70% of students also receive internships at companies like TCS, PwC, and various startups. Common roles offered are software developed, data analyst, and system engineer. Overall, it is a great place to learn, grow, and prepare for a career in IT.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are okay. Labs are functional with the necessary software, and Wi-Fi is available across the campus. The library is quiet and has useful books, though the collection could be larger. The facilities are average but meet the basic needs of students fairly well.
Faculty: Teachers are good and most have good subject knowledge, and some go the extra mile to support students. The teaching quality is average to good, depending on the faculty. The IT course curriculum covers core subjects like data structures, DBMS, and programming, which are useful for the industry, though more practical exposure could help. Semester exams are moderate in difficult. Manageable with regular study. The pass percentage is fairly high, around 85-90%, as long as students attend classes and keep up with assignments and internals.
Other: I chose IT because I enjoy coding and teach. The course teaches useful subjects like programming and DBMS. I wish it had more practical projects. The campus hosts fests, and the crowd is friendly. It's well-connected and offers scholarships. There are clubs and activities for students beyond academics.

It has promising placements, solid CSE infrastructure, and supportive faculty members.
Placements: For the 2024 B.Tech CSE batch at Techno International New Town, 82.9% of students get placed. The highest package offered is 12 LPA by Amazon and SAP Labs. The lowest package offered is 3.36 LPA, and the average package offered is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies included Amazon, Microsoft, SAP Labs, Cisco, Infosys, and TCS. Around 70-75% of students landed internships in firms like Microsoft, IBM, NTPC, and TCS iON, across roles like software developer, full stack developer, data analyst, and cybersecurity analyst. It is a promising course for proactive learners with a drive for coding, hands-on experience, and solid placement preparation.
Infrastructure: Techno International New Town offers well-equipped air-conditioned classrooms, high-speed Wi-Fi, modern computer labs, and a central library with over 10,000 books and journals. The CSE department has dedicated labs for programming, AI, and networking. Hostel facilities are separate for boys and girls, with basic amenities, though reviews suggest off-campus PGs offer better comfort. The mess provides three meals daily, but food quality varies. The canteen and Melbourne cafe serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Medical support includes weekly doctor visits and counseling. Sports facilities include basketball, football, cricket nets, gym, and indoor games like table tennis and carrom.
Faculty: Many teachers at Techno International New Town are qualified, approachable, and supportive, often guiding students through projects and internships. While the MAKAUT course curriculum can feel a bit outdated. Faculty members bridge the gap with workshops, coding contests, and industry-focused training. The teaching quality is generally good, with some standout mentors who go the extra mile. Semester exams, conducted by MAKAUT, are moderately challenging and require consistent study. The pass percentage is typically above 80%, and I am thankful to the internal assessment and faculty support members. Overall, the course prepares students reasonably well for industry, especially those who actively pursue hands-on learning and certification.

This college provide better placements than other colleges in Kolkata.
Placements: Placements are average in college, but we can see all over these states this college is better than others in the placement. The placement package is not as good as we want. The company hires students for as minimum salary but we deserve more.
Infrastructure: This college infrastructure is well but not sufficient other colleges provide many facilities like a gym, software purchase for students, etc. The college needs to improve in the field of facilities like all classrooms need AC because Kolkata summer is too hot. Colleges need to increase sports material, college can improve in culture, in fact, all fields of college are not satisfied.
Faculty: Some faculty are too good some are average but most of the faculty members are not good in the sense of teaching, not a better understanding of the subject. Those types of teacher classrooms are empty, with only a few students because of attendance purposes. A few teachers are excellent but most of them are below average.

It has nice faculty members and nice clubs. It needs more updated equipment in labs.
Placements: Our department has a record of more than 70% placements with the highest package of 12 LPA this current year. The lowest package is 4 LPA and the average package ranges from 6-7 LPA respectively. Our top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Deloitte, etc. However, Amazon hires one of our alumni at the package of 36 LPA. Post COVID situation became worse till the last academic year, but now things are getting better. About 40-50% of students got internships, some are paid and the rest are unpaid. Roles offered in our course are mainly software developers.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. We have a beautiful library with a huge collection of books. It has a nice Wi-Fi connection on every floor. Classrooms are well-cleaned and organised. We have different labs in our college, but in our department, we have a hardware lab and a programming lab. However, more updated equipment should be used in labs, and most important we don't have modern water purifiers. Hostel food is average. The canteen is expensive and we have only a basketball court on our campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good. Their dedication to teaching is super, so they have the right to force us the attendance. 75% of attendance is mandatory for us. Most teachers are well-qualified with PhD holders. They are helpful both academically and non-academically. The semester exam difficulty level is moderate and the pass percentage is more than 80%.
Other: The best things are our faculty members. We have organised a fest recently named Yagvik-2k25 in which Snigdhajit Bhowmik takes all the attention. SVMCM scholarship is offered for West Bengal students, and many of our students benefit from it. However, students from other states may face temporary issues. The campus is not too big but Wi-Fi connectivity is superb. We have different clubs for extracurricular activities.

Placements: Out of the total students in our course, around 70% of students got placed. The highest package offered is 7 LPA, which was great to see. Many students received a package of 2 LPA. Respected companies hire students from the campus. More than 30 companies hire students.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are clean. It has basic amenities like projectors and fans. Some rooms could use a bit of modernization. Labs are well-equipped and advanced. Wi-Fi is available in the academic block. The hostel experience is a mix of good and not-so-good.
Faculty: Many teachers are qualified and have good subject knowledge. They are generally helpful and approachable, especially when it comes to clearing doubts or assisting with projects. Teachers and our HOD are very helpful and very supportive.

Review of Techno International New Town.
Placements: 50% of students get placement. The highest package is 50 LPA, and the average package is 3 LPA. Recruiting companies include TCS, Infosys, etc. Some of the faculty members are very helpful, but others are completely useless. You have to maintain 75% attendance.
Infrastructure: Normally, the college doesn’t have hostel facilities, but they provide third-party accommodations like PGs. You also have many options such as hostels, flats, and PGs. So, you don’t have to worry about accommodation. Near the college, many PGs and flats are available if you have a good budget.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, while others just talk and don’t seem to care much. Is the course curriculum controlled by MAKAUT because this college is affiliated with MAKAUT? The semester exams in this college, or rather in MAKAUT, are really difficult.
