VJTI Mumbai is the best college in Mumbai after IIT Bombay.
Placements: According to seniors, placements are quite good at our college. In fact, the average package for CS and IT branches is 22 LPA. The overall placement rate across all branches ranges from 80-90%, with an average package of 13 LPA. The VJTI TPO is doing a good job for student placements.
Infrastructure: Talking about infrastructure, it is below average, but they are doing their best to improve it. They are making sure that every classroom and labs have basic amenities. The canteen is quite affordable, but do not provide much medical facilities.
Faculty: The professors are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Most of them are from top universities and institutes. The exams conducted by the college are of moderate level. The passing marks depend on the topper’s marks, as the college has opted for relative grading. Overall, the course curriculum is relevant.

Do not take admission in this college.
Placements: About 70% of students were placed, and the placement percentage depended on the branch of study. The lowest salary package was 6 LPA, the highest was 36 LPA, and the average was 15 LPA. Only 4 or 5 companies recruited for my course, and most students were placed in software-based companies like Texas Instruments. Technical roles were offered mostly for B.Tech courses, but sometimes management roles were available.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for the course/department, such as Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and the library, are very poor. The quality of the facilities in the hostel, the quality of the food available in the mess and canteen, the medical facilities, and the sports and games are all very poor.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, but most of them had poor knowledge of the subject matter. The syllabus was outdated, but the students were industry-ready due to their own hard work and persistence. The placement rate was good, but the papers for some subjects were very difficult and application-based. Only two or three subjects had faculty with PhD degrees; the others were not qualified. The pass percentage was 40%.

Review of B.Tech. in Textile Technology course in VJTI.
Placements: I am pursuing B.Tech. in the Textile Technology course. Placements here are above average. Around 85% of students get placed in top textile companies, and the remaining ones either go for further education or get placed in low-paying jobs. The highest package is 18 LPA, and the lowest package is 6 LPA. Trident is the top recruiting company for our course. Nearly all students get internships. Roles like manufacturing head, sales head, and T lab testing are offered to students.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available on campus, but it may not work in some areas. There are 2 hostels for boys, 1 PG hostel old and one is in very bad condition. It has toilets and a living room. PG is top-notch and has world-class facilities. Food is okay. Medical facilities are available in college at some specific time. It has 2 boys mess. It also has games and sports in the building.
Faculty: 80% of teachers are PhD holders. They have an average experience of more than 7 years. The course curriculum is very relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. The semester exam's difficulty level is medium. The minimum passing criteria is 35 marks. In the first year, it is very difficult for many students to pass.
Other: I am in my second year.

My amazing college life at VJTI.
Placements: In my course, more than 90% of students get placed last year. The highest package offered is around 20 LPA, and the average is 11.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Apple, Microsoft, Google, Nvidia, and many more. In my college, more than 70% of students get internships, while others either opt for higher studies or work on startups.
Infrastructure: In my course, we have all facilities, such as Wi-Fi, a library, different labs for each subject, and classrooms equipped with air conditioning, projectors, etc. Talking about the hostel, there are 2 boys' hostels and 1 girls' hostel, which are old and have less space. Regarding the mess food, it is average, but we have special lunch on Sundays and non-veg on Fridays. As for the canteen, the food is good, but it is so small, and sometimes we don't even get a seat to sit and eat. Sports are promoted by the committee named Enthusiasm, which focuses on encouraging sports at both inter-branch and inter-college levels.
Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful and well-qualified. There is no doubt, this course tries to provide students with opportunities they need to be industry-ready. There are 2 exams in a semester, the mid-semester and the end-semester exams. The final marks and grades are based on 20% test assessment, 30% mid-semester marks, and 50% end-semester marks. The passing percentage can vary because of relative marking, but most of the time, it is between 35-40%.
Other: In this course, we study both hardware and software, which is why I chose this course. According to me, the course would improve more if we focus more on practical performance or project-making. There are many events handled by different committees, such as Pratibimb and Rangwardhan. Pratibimb arranges events like Freshers Night, dance performances, concerts, and more, etc. Rangwardhan focuses on preserving our Marathi culture by celebrating events like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, Republic Day, Treasure Hunt, etc.

Placements: Talking about placement it is a good as we had 62 LPA as our highest. last time with near 75-80 percent student from our course getting placed. Top companies like Texas, Google visit at this college and nearly 20% student were there for internship in companies like Texas, Morgan, Stanley. Top roles like software developer, Field application engineer are offered.
Infrastructure: Facilities like mess are there. The building is nearly 100 years old but there is a newly constructed hostel with good facilities like lift cleaned washroom bed cupboard. The fess is also affordable but the infrastructure is too old and worst with lot of issues.
Faculty: Faculty is not felt to be qualified for teaching. They are not at all serious regarding curriculum. The teachers give YouTube playlist for studying. They not at all take efforts to teach. The exams paper are also not corrected properly. There are many unfair means in checking.
