Solve UCEED 2025 sample questions to formulate time management strategy for the exam day.

UCEED Mock Test

UCEED is conducted by IIT Bombay to offer admission to aspirants in Bachelor of Design (BDes program) program offered at participating colleges. The UCEED 2025 exam has two parts. Part A is a computer-based test that comprises three sections, while Part B will include a design-aptitude and a sketching-based question. Three sections of Part A of the exam consist of Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions, Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). In UCEED 2025, candidates will have to attempt 59 questions in three hours duration.

There is negative marking in each exam section of UCEED 2025 and so aspirants are advised to refrain from making any wild guess in the test and this is the reason why mock test and sample papers are effective in UCEED 2025 exam preparation because they help aspirants determine the format and pattern of the exam.

To determine how to effectively manage time in the UCEED exam, aspirants are advised to practice as many mock tests and sample papers as they can get. Listed below are some sample questions that candidates can solve to know the type of questions they can be asked in the UCEED 2025 exam paper.

Q:   What is the best time to take UCEED 2025 mock tests?
A:

The official mock tests are meant to be taken in the last few weeks before the UCEED 2025 exam. So, you shouldn’t typically take mock tests at the start or even middle of your UCEED 2025 exam preparation. The logic being mock tests are not designed to help you improve your problem-solving ability nor your time-management skills. In fact, mock tests are meant to help you get a exam like ambience before the exam and understand what is like to be inside the exam centre.

That being said, mock tests designed by some coaching institutes are more comprehensive and might help you build problem-solving ability and time-management skills.

Q:   When will UCEED 2025 mock tests be held, if any?
A:

IIT Bombay will conduct the UCEED 2025 exam tentatively in the 3rd week of January 2025. The mock tests, if any, will be conducted a few days before the entrance exam. IIT Bombay will release the detailed schedule on its official website at the time of start of the application form or sometime thereabout.

Note that IIT Bombay typically doesn’t conduct any mock test for B.Des applicants. So, candidates are urged to keep visiting this space for any major update on mock tests for the UCEED 2025 exam.

Q:   Will IIT Bombay conduct any mock tests for UCEED 2025 exam?
A:

In the previous edition of the UCEED exam, IIT Bombay didn’t conduct any mock tests. So, it is unlikely that any mock tests will be held for the UCEED 2025 exam. But it cannot be totally ruled out that IIT Bombay won’t conduct any mock tests for the upcoming exam.

A clear picture regarding any mock tests for the UCEED 2025 exam will only be clear once the admission notification is released for the exam. So, students are urged to stay tuned and keep looking this space for any important notification on UCEED 2025 mock tests.

Q:   If I take only mock tests of UCEED 2025, is it enough to get a good score in the design entrance exam?
A:

Mock tests are useful only when you take them closer to the exam. They are also by no means an integral part of one’s exam preparation in the early stages. When you are starting off your preparation and reach until the mid stage, all you need are test books, sample papers, and the notes you have taken. Once you have mastered the concepts and honed your problem-solving skills sufficiently, you can take the mock test. The mock tests at this stage will help you get acquainted with the exam process, especially the exam environment.

Q:   Can I ask queries to the admission committee when taking the UCEED mock tests?
A:

IIT Bombay will notify about any mock tests for UCEED 2025 on its official website. Also, there is unlikely that the candidate will have any option to ask any queries during the mock test, provided the mock test is conducted at all. The candidate simply will be able to take the mock test by following the mock test given on the UCEED 2025 admission portal.

The mock test will include questions similar to the ones that will be included in the actual exam. So, by taking the mock tests, the candidate will be able to finetune their preparation for the UCEED 2025 exam.

On clicking on the mock test link, a log-in window will open. It is likely that the log-in id will be prefilled. So, all you need to start the do is click on the log-in button to access the mock tests. After logging in, click on the “Start” tab to start the mock test.

Q:   What kind of questions will be included in the UCEED 2025 mock tests?
A:

However, if it does conduct any mock tests for the exam, it will include similar type of questions to the ones asked in the entrance exam. This means, the questions will be of the same difficulty level, and will cover the same topics. That being said the mock test may contain fewer number of questions that the actual exam.

Q:   What is the purpose of UCEED 2025 mock tests?
A:

The mock tests are meant to serve the following functions:

  • The mock tests for UCEED may help the candidate get acquainted with the functionalities of the exam.

  • Given Part A of the UCEED exam will be conducted in online mode, the mock tests will help the candidate get familiar with the navigation process, say from one section to another.
