CEED Admit Card 2026 - IIT Bombay is expected to release the CEED 2026 Admit cards in the first week of January 2026. To download the admit card, log in by entering your email ID and password. Download the admit card before the exam. IIT Bombay will most likely conduct the CEED 2026 Exam in the third week of January 2025 between 9 am - 12 noon.

On exam day, the candidate must bring a valid photo ID along with the admit card. Also, follow the CEED 2026 exam-day guidelines. The admit card will contain details like roll number, name, and address of the allotted CEED 2026 exam center, date and time of exam, reporting time, and exam-day guidelines. The reporting time for the CEED exam will be officially released. Exam officials will have a verification process for candidates before the examination. 

Q:   When will the CEED 2025 exam be conducted?
A: 

IIT Bombay will conduct the CEED 2025 exam on January 19, 2025 (9 am - 12 noon).

The exam will includ two sections - Part A and Part B. Part A of the exam will be administered in a computer-based mode, whereas Part B will be held offline. It is mandatory for candidates to qualify for Part A. 

If the candidate fails to qualify for Part A, his or her Part B answers booklet will not be evaluated. 

The final score cum merit list of CEED 2025 will be calculated by giving weightage to both Part A and Part B.

Q:   When will the admit card of CEED 2025 will be released?
A: 

IIT Bombay will issue admit card for CEED 2025 on January 3, 2025 (1 pm). Admit cards will be issued to all candidates who successfully register for the exam. 

The candidate can download the admit card online at ceed.iitb.ac.in.

To download the admit card, log in to the candidate portals using your login details.

On the day of the exam, the candidate had to bring with them the admit card and a valid photo id proof. The admit card will contain details like the name, roll number, exam date, exam timings, and name and address of the exam center.

Q:   When will the application form for CEED 2025 open?
A: 

The CEED 2025 applications opened on October 1, 2025. The application has to be filled online at ceed.iitb.ac.in.

The candidate can apply with both regular and late fees.

All the details pertaining to the CEED 2025 application form has been updated on the admission portals, including the information brochure. The candidate needs to carefully go through the brochure to check their eligibility. Note that information entered by the candidate at the time of submitting their application form will be verified at the time of counseling. Any candidate who doesn’t meet the criteria will be disqualified.

How to Download CEED Admit Card 2026

IIT Bombay will release the Admit cards for CEED 2026 online at ceed.iitb.ac.in. The candidate has to download the admit card following the steps listed below.

  1. Click on the admit card download link (will be provided here when the admit card is LIVE)
  2. You will be redirected to a login window
  3. Enter your email ID and password
  4. On successful login, the CEED 2026 Admit Card will be displayed on the screen
  5. Download and take a colored print of the admit card.

Check that the CEED 2026 admit card does not have any errors. In case of any discrepancy, you need to get in touch with the CEED authorities immediately and get it resolved.

Q:   At what time do I need to report for CEED 2025?
A: 

CEED Exam Date and Timings: 9 am - 12 noon.

The exam will be conducted around the 3rd week of Janaury 2025.

On the day of the exam, the candidate must report at the exam centre at 7 am. The reporting time will also be mentioned on the admit card.

When reporting for the exam, the candidate must bring with them a valid photo ID proof and the admit card. Note that exam officials will record the biometric information (thumb impression and photograph) of the candidate before they are allowed entry inside the exam centre.

Q:   Do I need a printout of the CEED 2025 admit card to take the exam?
A: 

On the day of the exam, the candidate had to bring with them a clear printout of the CEED 2024 admit card. Note that soft copies of the admit card were not accepted. Also, along with the admit card, the candidate were asked to bring a valid photo ID proof also.

The admit card for CEED 2024 was made available for download from January 5, 2024 (1 pm).

The candidates were recommended to download the admit card without any delay. The last date to fix discrepancies in the admit card was January 11, 2024. 

Q:   What is the last date to fix discrepancies in the CEED 2024 admit card?
A:

How to FIX discrepancies in the CEED 2026 admit card

After downloading the admit card, make sure that it does not have any errors.

Here are some issues you may face with the CEED 2026 Admit Card:

  • The name of the candidate may be incorrectly spelled
  • Some information may be missing, like the roll number
  • In other cases, information may be blurred
  • Or, you may be allocated the wrong exam center, etc.

In any of the above or similar cases, get it rectified asap. Discrepancies in the admit cards can be fixed only within the given deadline.

Q:   Can I prepare for CEED exam without coaching?
A: 

It is very much possible to prepare for CEED without coaching. But before you embark on exam preparation on your own, you need the conviction that you can do it. If you are not convinced yourself and only decide to forgo coaching on the advice of others, the journey may be difficult.

If you prepare for the exam on your own, you need to be serious and plan the preparation smartly. For instance, after going through the syllabus, you must be able to decide the difficulty level, time it will take to cover the syllabus, and do revision. 

Remember, there are many instances of toppers who managed to ace the CEED exam without the aid of any coaching. Further, the final outcome may not depend on whether you do coaching or not, but the quality of your preparation.

Q:   What kind of discrepancies may be found in the CEED 2025 admit card?
A: 

Some of the typical and also atypical discrepancies you can find the CEED 2025 admit card include:

  • The name of the candidate may be incorrectly spelled

  • Some information may be missing, for instance, a few digits of your roll number, or name of the exam centre.

  • Information may be blurred, for instance the photograph or signature

  • A wrong exam centre may be allocated.

In any of the above or similar cases, the candidate needs to contact exam officials and get the issues resolved.

Q:   What are the acceptable identity proofs for CEED 2025 exam?

On the day of the CEED 2025 exam, the candidate must bring with them the admit card and a valid photo ID proof.

The following documents will be considered as a valid ID:

  • College issued identity card

  • Passport

  • Driving license

  • PAN card, Voter ID

  • Aadhar card or printed e-Aadhar card

Note that without a valid ID proof, the candidate will not be allowed entry inside the exam hall.

Important Instructions Mentioned on CEED 2026 Admit Card

The CEED admit card issued by IIT Bombay contains the following instructions for candidates:

Particulars Instructions
Admit Card Candidates need to carry a printout (preferably in colour) of their CEED admit card to the allotted examination centre. Along with this, candidates should also carry a ball pen (blue/ black) to their CEED exam centre.
Identity Verification The CEED 2026 admit card must be carried to the exam centre along with one of the below-mentioned original photo IDs for verification purposes:
  • College/ Institute identity card
  • Certificate from the Principal / Head of the Department (As given in Appendix A of the CEED information brochure)
  • Any Government-issued Photo ID ( Driving Licence/ Aadhar Card/ PAN Card/ Voter's ID/ Passport)
Reporting Time Candidates need to report to their allotted CEED exam centre by 7 am (IST) for identity verification as well as biometric identity capture.
Hall Entry/ Exit CEED exam will start at 9 am (IST). Once the exam starts, candidates will not be allowed to enter the test centre. Also, candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam hall before the CEED examination ends, except for medical emergencies.
Blank sheets Candidates will be provided blank sheets for rough work. These sheets need to be handed over to the Invigilator after the CEED Part A examination is over.
Drawing Materials Candidates must bring their own pencils, sketch pens, poster colours and other drawing materials in a transparent packet for the examination. Also, candidates can carry a writing board of A4 size. However, aspirants will not be allowed to exchange or borrow these materials inside the examination hall.
Unfair Means Violation of any rules and regulations or use of any unfair means at any stage of the examination will lead to immediate disqualification of the candidate.
Items not Permitted Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, digital watch, calculators, used sheets, etc. are not allowed inside the examination hall.
Exam Centre Change Candidates will not be allowed to change their exam city /centre under any circumstances.

Q:   In how many cities will the CEED 2025 exam be conducted?

IIT Bombay will conduct the CEED 2025 exam in 27 cities. Note that each of these cities may have one or more exam centres. However, when filling out the CEED 2025 application form, the candidate only needs to select an exam city. In fact, it is mandatory to select THREE exam cities in the order of priority.

Q:   Can I change the CEED 2025 exam centre allocated to me?
A: 

Note that once an exam centre has been allocated, there is no scope to change it. In fact, CEED officials will not entertain any requests for a change in the exam centre. 

The details of the exam centre allocated to the candidate will be mentioned in the CEED 2025 admit card. The allotment of CEED 2025 exam centre will done on the basis of the exam city seelcted by the candidate. Exam officials will also consider other factors like the address of the candidate and seat intake available in various exam centres in that particular city.

Q:   What kind of stationery items I should carry to CEED 2025 exam centre?
A: 

The candidate will not be provided with any stationery at the exam venue. So, it is incumbent the candidates themselves bring these essential stationery items with them.

Here are the basic minimum stationery items needed to take the CEED 2025 exam.

  • Pens

  • Pencils

  • Sketch pens 

  • Colours for the examination

However, note that sheets are not allowed inside the exam hall.

Q:   What is the right time to solve sample papers for CEED 2025?
A: 

You can start solving sample papers for CEED very early on in your exam preparation. For instance, you can do the exercise after completing a chapter. All you have to do is find the relevant questions in the sample papers and start solving. As you move on in your CEED 2025 exam preparation, you the sample papers will be more useful. In fact, as you complete the syllabus, you can attempt the complete sample paper.

By solving the sample papers you can improve your problem-solving and time-management skills. Also, you can solve sample papers right up to the exam-day. 

Q:   How many sample papers do I need to solve to prepare for the CEED 2025 exam?
A: 

If you start solving sample papers late in your exam preparation, you must be able to solve around 10-12 sample papers. However, if you start solving sample papers early on, it is not exactly the quantity that you are focusing on.

For instance, if you complete a chapter and solve all the relevant problems givn in the sample paper, it will also be very effective. And you can repeat this model for other topics as well. The only difference here is you are not solving the entire sample paper in one go in this case. Rather attacking it one chapter or topic at a time.

And once you complete the entire syllabus, you can then attempt the complete sample paper.

Q:   When should I start my preparation for CEED 2025?
A: 

The CEED 2025 exam will be conducted on January 19, 2025. 

So, the candidate has a three months or so to prepare for the exam. Given the CEED 2025 syllabus is of moderate to difficult, you would ideally need 6 months or so to prepare for the exam. 

That being said, if your fundamentals are strong, you can cover the syllabus in less time. Before starting you preparation, go through the syllabus and pattern, and draft a plan. Once the plan is ready, get going with full guns blazing.

Note that to fully prepare for the exam, you need to solve sample papers and take mock tests.
