NIFT Result 2025 (OUT): Final Result Link for UG & PG, Download Scorecard, Tie-Breaker, Topper List

A: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the NIFT Final Result 2025 anytime on the official website. It is expected to be out in June end. The results will be declared online at the NTA NIFT admission portals: nift.ac.in/admission and exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT

To check your result, you have to log in to the result portal using your application number and date of birth.

The FINAL results of NIFT 2025 will be is prepared by considering the performance of the candidate in GAT CAT and Situation Test/ Personal Interview. The Final Result will be consists of NIFTEE 2025 Stage 1 and Stage 2 Examination.

Typically there is no option to apply for recheck of NIFT 2025 results.

However, if the candidate has any doubts, they are allowed to challenge the answer key. Note that the NIFT answer keys for GAT paper of the written exam will be released sometime in April 2025.

The exam conducting body in this case may look at the answer key and make changes if needed.

However, there will be no provision to recheck NIFT final results. 

On reason for this may be because the Situation Test is a subjective-test. For that matter, the CAT also doesn't have any ideal solutions and so can be opened to a recheck. 

The National Institite of Design (NID) will release the answer sheets of the candidate after the declaration of the FINAL results. Further, the answer sheets will only be available on request, only after the admission process is complete.

The answer sheet is not be issued during the admission process.

To request the answer sheet for the admission cycle 2025-26, the candidate has to make a payment of INR 1000 online/ per exam. The candidate will also have to furnish the NID DAT 2025 admit card duly signed by the invigilator and seal of the exam center with the request. 

The answer sheet will be sent to the candidate within 15-20 days after receiving the payment.

The National Institute of Design will, however, not release any answer keys for the DAT Prelims exam.

NTA will declare the FINAL results of NIFT 2025 for the B.Des program around the 2nd week of May 2025. The final results for the M.Des program will be announced around the 1st week of May 2025.

The result will include details like the name, roll number, and signature of the candidate. Importantly, it will contain the sectional and overall scores, merit rank of the candidate, and the qulalifying status.

Only such candidates who have qualified the written exam and appeared in the Situation Test/ Personal Interview will be included in the final results.

Note that the FINAL resullt will be prepared by considering the performance of the candidate in the written exam and Personal Interview/ Situation Test.

The NIFT exam includes two stages - The candidate first appears in the written exams, and if shortlisted has to next appear in a Situation Test/ Personal Interview (PI).

Note that the written exams for the B.Des and M.Des program includes the GAT and CAT, whereas for the other programs the written exam includes only the GAT.

The final score for the B. Des programme will be prepared by considering the performance of the candidate in CAT, GAT and the Situation Test. In case of the B.FTech programme, the merit list will be prepared based on GAT scores.

The Situation Test/ Personal Interview (PI) are the 2nd stage of the NIFT 2025 entrance exam. Candidates were shortlisted for the Situation Test/ PI based on the NIFT 2025 written exam scores.

Note that if the candidate fails to qualify for the 2nd stage, he or she is not considered for admission to various design courses offered by the NIFTs.

The only expection is B.F.Tech program, where the merit list for admission will be prepared solely on the basis of GAT scores.

In the case of other courses, the merit list will be prepared by giving weightage to the written exams and Situation Test/ PI.

The NTA also releases the recorded responses for the NIFT exam. The recorded responses are the corbon copy of the candidate’s answer sheet.

The recorded responses are meant to bring transparency to the conduct of the NIFT entrance exam. For instance, the candidate can’t be unfairly penalized or awarded marks, as the answer sheets will be in the public.

It is because the candidate can challenge the result if there is an anomaly.

Further, the candidate can use the NIFT recorded responses to correctly calculate their probable scores.

The NIFT 2025 answer key will be released programme-wise for the GAT test.

The candidate needs to download the answer key for their respective program. Next, the candidate can compare their answers with the official version to calculate the number of correct attempts. Then using the official marking scheme, the candidate will be able to calculate probable scores. The probable scores can be used by the candidate to access one chances of admission.

In the scenario two or more candidates score the same marks in NIFT, then tie-breaker policy will be applied.

1. The marks scored by the candidate in tests with higher weightage will be considered to break the tie. For example, for the B. Des programme, marks obtained in the CAT exam will be compared to break the tie.
2. If the marks obtained in the CAT are equal, then marks obtained in GAT will be considered.
3. If tie is undecided, then subject-wise marks in the following order will be considered: Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Analytical Ability &General Knowledge and Current Affairs.

There are 19 NIFTs that will accept NIFT 2025 Scores for admission purposes. These institutes are known as participating colleges.

However, in addition to the participating colleges, there are other private colleges that will also consider NIFT 2025 scores for admission to their UG and PG design courses. The candidates are urged to go through the list of result-sharing institutes.

The NTA will release the NIFT 2025 question paper for the written exam along with the answer key. The question paper will be made available before the declaration of exam results.

The candidate had to download the NIFT question paper 2025 from the NTA NIFT admission portal.

To download the question paper, log in to the portal using your candidate credentials. Note that the NTA also released the recorded responses. So, the candidate can use the answer key, recorded response, and question paper to calculate the total number of correct attempts, and eventually the probable score.

The allotment of seats will be based on: Choice opted at the time of counseling registration (academic programs + campuses) The category of the candidate Seat intake in the college opted for admission NIFT 2024 merit rank of the candidate. NIFT 2024 seat allotment process will be conducted in May 2024.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology will conduct counseling registration for NIFT 2024 once results are declared.

Candidates who have qualified in NIFT 2024 are eligible to participate in the counseling process.

The NIFT 2024 seat allotment for regular UG & PG courses will be annoucned once registration closes. Candidates who are allotted seats need to pay the seat-acceptance fee before the last date. Note that the seat allotment of NIFT 2024 will be based on the NIFT 2024 merit rank and choices opted by the candidate.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology offers M.Des MFM and M.FTech courses at its 18 campuses. Admission to these courses are on the basis of NIFT 2025 merit ranks. The final merit rank of NIFT 2025 for the M.Des programme will be prepared by giving weightage to CAT (40%), CAT (30%), and Interview (30%). In case of the M.FTech and MFM courses, the GAT carries 70% weightage, while the Interview carries 30% weightage. Note that MFM and M.FTech candidates don't need to take the CAT Test.

The Situation Test/ Personal Interview (PI) are the 2nd stage of the NIFT 2025 entrance exam. Candidates were shortlisted for the Situation Test/ PI based on the NIFT 2025 written exam scores.

Note that if the candidate fails to qualify for the 2nd stage, he or she is not considered for admission to various design courses offered by the NIFTs.

NIFT 2025 seat allotment process will be conducted around May 2025. The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will conduct counseling registration for NIFT 2025 soon after the declaration of final results.

Candidates who have qualified in NIFT 2025 can participate in the counseling process. The NIFT 2025 seat allotment for regular UG & PG courses will be announced in multiple rounds. Candidates who are allotted seats have to pay the seat-acceptance fee by the given deadline. 

The NTA has declared the NIFT 2024 final results for the B.Des program on May 14, 2024. The results were slated to be declared on May 13, 2024.

Meanwhile, the NIFT 2024 final results are announced for the PG courses.

Note that the written exam results had got delayed.  

While the NIFT 2024 written exam was conducted on February 5, 2024, the results were finally declared on March 20, 2024. Note that results of exams like JEE Main, which is also conducted by the NTA, are typically declared within a few days of the exam.

One big concern students had regarding the delay in the NIFT 2024 exams was that the upcoming admission schedule could be cramped. If that had happened, the student would have got very limited time to prepare for the situation test/ personal interview. The other concern was if a students had failed to qualify in the written exams, he also would have limited time to plan his or her next course of action.

The NTA will release the NIFT 2025 answer key (FINAL) in April 2025.

The final key will be released after considering objections filed by the candidate. Note that there is no provision to challenge the final answer key.

So, the keys included in the FINAL answer key of NIFT 2025 will be considered to the correct and official answers.

The last date to file objections against the draft key will be notified on the admission portal.

The draft key will be released in February 2025.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology will release category wise merit lists. These includes the Common Merit Rank (CMR), GEN EWS Rank List, OBC NCL Rank List, SC Rank List, ST Rank List, CMR PwD List, OBC NCL PwD Rank List, SC PwD Rank List, and ST PwD Rank list. The general category candidate will not be considered for admission under reserved category seats. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories will also be considered for admission under the CMR category. Note that the candidate had to select their category at the time of filling out the NIFT 2023 application form.

NTA doesn't allow any objection window against the final key. This means, the keys included in the final key are final and officially the correct answers to questions asked in the GAT exam.

The FINAL answer key of NIFT 2025 will be released tentatively in the 4th week of April 2025.

The candidate can use the answers given in the final key to calculate the number of correct attempts and consequently the probable score.

Note, the NTA will release the recorded responses and NIFT 2025 QP around the 3rd week of February 2025.

The NTA will release the recorded responses for the NIFT 2025 written exam before the declaration of results.

The recorded responses can be downloaded online from the NTA website - exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT. To download the recordedd responses, log in using your application number and date of birth.

The NTA will also release the NIFT 2025 question paper along with the recorded responses.

The recorded responses can be used by the candidate to calculate the number of correct attempts, and consequently the probable score. 

 

The National Institute of Technology (NIFT) releases answer keys only for the computer-based GAT test. No answer key are released for the offline-based CAT paper.

The answer key has to be downloaded online from the NIFT admission portal - niftadmissions. In.

Also, the keys are released separately for the B. Des, M.Des B.FTech M.FTech and MFM courses. The key will contain the official answers to questions asked in the entrance exam.

When the NIFT 2025 answer key was released for the GAT paper, the candidate was also be given the option to file objections.

Objections had to be filed online through the candidate portal. The candidate had to furnish proper proof supporting their claims.

If the challenge filed by the candidate is found to be correct and the answer key is incorrect, the admission committee will delete the key. Also, the correct key (s) is released in the final key. Note that the scores of the candidate will be calculated using the revised key only.

However, the fee paid by the candidate will not be refunded.
