CGET 2024: CV Raman Global University conducts CGET 2024. The CGET 2024 Phase II exam was conducted on May 27 instead of May 25, 2024 due to General Election. The authority released the CGET 2024–25 Brochure, which consists of all information related to CGET, including the application process, important dates, etc. The CGET 2024 Phase II last date for filling out the online application form was May 19, 2024. What is CGET?

CGET stands for CV Raman Global University Entrance Test. It is conducted to provide admission to various programmes such as BTech (regular and lateral entry), MTech, MBA, MSc, BBA, BCA, MCA, PG Diploma programmes, PhD, etc. CGET is an online test, which comprises 60 multiple-choice questions. Each correct answer fetches four marks whereas one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

CGET 2024 Admit Card

The admissions authority released the admit card for phase II on the official website. The CGET 2024 Phase I admit card released on April 14, 2024. Candidates will be able to download the CGET admit card 2024 by using their login credentials. Without an admit card, no candidate will get the chance to enter the examination hall. The admit card comprises important details like the candidate's name, roll number, date of birth, exam date, exam venue, etc.

CGET 2024 Syllabus

Candidates should go through complete syllabus prior to starting their preparation. It will provide in-depth knowledege of chapters and topics that are important from examination point of view. CGET 2024 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern elucidates various details about the exam, such as total questions, total sections, exam duration, etc. It is equally important to have an understanding of the CGET exam pattern 2024 prior to devising the preparation strategy. In this exam, a total of 60 multiple-choice questions were asked in each hour of the examination. 

CGET 2024 Result

CGET result 2024 will be released a few days after the conclusion of the exam. Candidates will be able to check the result online. They will need their login details to check their result. After the declaration of the result, successful candidates will be called to complete the admission procedure.

CGET 2024 Counselling

The counselling procedure will be carried out post result declaration. Candidates have to appear in CGET counselling 2024 to complete various formalities registration, choice filling, choice locking, document verification, admission fee payment, etc. Candidates who will successfully compelete these stages will be issued admission order to report to the allotted college.

 

CGET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria in order to apply for CGET 2024. The eligibility criteria vary from programme to programme. Check CGET eligibility criteria below.

Nationality: Candidates should be Resident / Non-Resident Indian National / PIO Holder

Stream

Eligibility Criteria

Diploma Program

(UG and PG)

For 1st Semister:  Candidates must have passed HSC/10th exam from a recognised board or university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.
For 3rd Semester (Lateral Entry): Candidates must have passed +2 Science exam from a recognised board or university or 02 years ITI in engineering trade with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

BTech (4 years)

Pass in Class 12 with 60% marks (throughout) along with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

For Marine Engineering: Pass in Class 12 or equivalent with 60% in PCM and 50% in English (in Class 10 & 12)

Age must not exceed 21 years as of July 31st of the admission year.

BTech lateral entry

Pass in Diploma with min. 45% (40% for reserved category) in any branch of engineering and technology

Pass in BSc with min. 45% (40% for reserved category) and should have studied Mathematics in Class 12

Students belonging to B.Sc. stream, seeking admission in Mechanical Engineering, shall be required to clear the subjects Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering MEchanics of the First Year Engineering Programmed along with second year subjects.

Also, students belonging to B.Sc. stream shall be considered admission only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with regular students belonging to the diploma stream. 

Pass in DVoc stream in the same or allied sector

In the above cases, a suitable bridge Courses, if required such as in Mathematics may be conducted.

For Marine Engineering: Must have passed first year Mechanical Engg of four years B.Tech Program with 60% marks in aggregate (with 50% marks in English either at 10th or B.Tech) or

Must have passed first year of Mechanical Engg of four years B.Tech Program with 60% marks in aggregate (with 50% marks in English either at 10th or B.Tech)

Age should not be more than 25 years

MBA (2 years)

Must have passed Bachelor degree of minimum three years duration. Obtained at least 60% marks in aggregate. (45% marks in aggregate in case of candidates belonging to reserved category).

MTech (2 years)

Must have passed bachelor degree or equivalent in the relevant field with minimum 60% marks in the qualifying exam

GATE qualified candidates need not to sit in the entrance examination. They have to submit their documents through the admission portal for direct admission counselling process.

Must have passed M.Sc. degree in relevant discipline with at least 60% marks in aggregate.

BBA

Must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board or university in any stream with minimum 60% marks in aggregate

BCA

Must have passed Class 12 (any stream with Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Statistics/Diploma Engg) from a recognised board or university in any stream with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

MCA

Must be graduate (any stream with Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Statistics/BCA) from a recognised board or university in any stream with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.

B.Sc. in Tourism & Hospitality Administration

 

Candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board or university in any stream with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

B.Sc. in Agriculture

Candidates must have passed Class 12 in Science from any recognised board or university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.
Qualifying subjects: Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology as subjects.

MSc

Must have passed bachelor degree (with Honors) in relevant field with at least 60% marks in aggregate

Candidates applying in M.Sc. in Biotechnology must have passed graduation with honours in Biotechnology, Botany or Zoology with 60% marks in aggregate.

MA (English)

Must have passed bachelor degree (with Honors) in relevant field with at least 55% marks in aggregate

Master in Hotel Management

 

Passed bachelor degree of minimum 3 years duration in any stream with minimum 50% marks in aggregate

D.Pharm

Must have passed Class 12 with Science from a recognised board or university with minimum 50% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics as subjects.

B.Pharm

Must have passed Class 12 with Science from a recognised board or university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics as subjects.

Research Programme

Ph.D

Post graduate degree in relevant discipline with 55% of marks or equivalent grade.
4 years/8 semesters bachelor degree in relevant discipline with 75% or equivalent grade.
A relaxation of 5 marks or its equivalent grade will be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/ Differently-Abled. Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.

NOTE: Candidates who have Studied Class 10 and Class 12 from NIOS are not eligible for admission to any programme of CGU-Odisha.

 

CGET 2024 Application Process

The application form is available in an online mode. The last date to submit the application form for phase I was April 11, 2024 and for Phase II was May 19, 2024. Although, interested and eligible candidates should not wait for the last moment and should apply at the earliest. The application procedure comprises of various stages like registration, filling the application form, uploading photo and signature, fee payment and final submit. Candidates should fill the application form with correct details only otherwise their applications will be liable for rejection. 

CGET 2024: Process of Filling the Application Form

Candidates can check below in detail about the process of filling the CGET 2024 application form.

  • Candidates can apply for CGET 2024 in an online mode. Also, it is recommended to the candidates that, before filling out the online CGET application form, read the information brochure carefully. Also, candidates should provide all the authentic details while filling out the online form. 
  • Submit all the details and after that an Application Number will be generated.
  • Fill the particulars and also upload photograph and full signature. 
  • It is not necessary to send the hard copy of the CGET application form.
  • Candidates can take the prinouts for future reference.
  • Candidates should give options only with respect to Reservation Categories (SC/ST/GC/PwD/Ex) that he or she can substantiate the same with documentary evidences during document verification/counselling. There is no provision of uploading any proof of these categories during online registration.

  • Category once filled up by the candidates will not be changed.
  • Candidates are allowed to submit only one application form. Multiple applications for a particular stream or in multiple streams of a candidate are liable to be rejected. 
  • After submission of an CGET application, options cannot be changed at a later stage.
  • If a candidate will not submit the original certificates, mark sheets, other necessary documents at the time of document verification or of one has filled the form incorrectly then claim for admission will be rejected.
  • Also, admission may be cancelled at any time, if certificates/mark sheets/other documents are found to be forged or manipulated.
  • Facility of submission of CGET application form will be closed on the last day of filling-up online-application form submission. Therefore, candidates are required to complete the process within the prescribed duration.
