JEE Advanced 2024 Dates: IIT Madras has announced the JEE Advanced result at jeeadv.ac.in. The link to check the result is given on this page too. The IIT JEE Advanced counselling 2024 is going on. JoSAA round 4 seat allotment result has been announced. The round 5 seat allotment result will be out on July 17.

IIT Madras conducted JEE Advanced 2024 and released the official question papers. IIT Madras has also released the official JEE Advanced answer key and the candidate response sheet. JEE Advanced is a national-level exam that serves as the second level of qualification for candidates who want to be a part of the IIT alumni. Candidates need to qualify JEE Main to sit for JEE Advanced. Approximately, the top 2.5 lahks JEE Main candidates are allowed to take this exam every year. The exam is conducted by any one of the 7 IITs or Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, under the aegis of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). Q:   What is JEE Advanced 2024 exam date?

A:

The JEE Advanced 2024 exam date was May 26. JEE Advanced 2024 was conducted by IIT Madras. JEE Main 2024 qualified candidates who achieve rank among the top 2.5 lakh candidates could apply for JEE Advanced exam. Also, candidates who appeared for JEE Main 2023 and have qualified for JEE Advanced, could apply for JEE Advanced 2024. Candidates can appear in JEE Advanced two consecutive times. JEE Advanced 2024 was held in CBT mode and there were 2 papers in all. Each paper had 3 sections: Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Candidates had to attempt both papers 1 and 2 to be eligible for admission to the IITs.

 

Q:   Is JEE Advanced 2024 going to be tough?

A:

The difficulty level of JEE Advanced will completely depend on the preparation of the candidates for the exam. JEE Advanced is known to be difficult. Last year, 1,89,744 students registered for the JEE Advanced Exam. Out of the total registered candidates, 1,80,372 appeared and 43,773 were able to qualify for the exam marking an overall qualifying percentage of 24.5%. This date shows that the exam is a tough nut to crack. Therefore, the preparation should be strong. Aspirants should practice daily, take mocktests, revise all concepts and leave no topics from the JEE Advanced syllabus.

 

Q:   Will IIT seats increase in 2024?

A:

Last year, there has been a notable surge in the number of available seats for BTech courses at IITs, reaching a total of 17,385. The number of seats to be available this year will be notoified with the JoSAA counselling details.

 

Q:   What is the marking scheme for JEE Advanced?

A:

The marking schemes change each year. Negative marks may be awarded for incorrect answers to some of the questions. Details of the marking scheme will be provided in the “Instructions to Candidates” section at the time of examination. JEE (Advanced) 2024 will consist of two question papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2 of three hours duration each. Both papers are compulsory. Each question paper will consist of three separate sections, viz., Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

 

JEE Advanced 2024 Post Exam Events to Note

JEE Advanced 2024 answer keys: JEE Advanced 2024 Answer Key (Provisional) is released by the exam conducting authority on the official website. Other than the official answer key, various coaching institutes will also release the answer key within one or two days after the conclusion of the exam. JEE Advanced 2024 official question papers will also be made available by the exam conducting authority on the official website. To make it easier for students to calculate their probable score, the exam conducting authority will also release their response sheets, within one or two days after the exam.

JEE Advanced result 2024: JEE Advanced 2024 result is announced on the official website. To check their results, aspirants will need to enter their registration number and password. A direct link will also be provided below for candidates to check the JEE Advanced result. JEE Advanced 2024 result will include the qualifying status, total and subject-wise scores, and All India Rank (AIR) of candidates. All students must note that the JEE Advanced rank will be as per their total score in papers 1 and 2. The exam conducting authority will also send a message on the registered mobile number of every test taker regarding the declaration of the result. All candidates must note that they will not receive any hard copies of their rank cards. It can be downloaded from the official website only. 

JEE Advanced 2024 counselling and seat allotment: The counselling process starts after the announcement of the result. The counselling and seat allotment process will be conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) soon after the announcement of the result.

Q:   How can one take part in JEE Advanced counselling?

A:

JEE Advanced counselling is called JoSAA. The candidates who qualify JEE Advanced have to register for JoSAA counselling with their JEE Advanced details. If you have appeared for JEE Mains you can register for JoSAA counselling for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs and if you have appeared for JEE Advanced, then you can apply for JoSAA counselling of IITs provided you fulfil the JEE Mains and advanced criteria respectively. Thereafter, only you have to follow the steps written in JEE Advanced counselling brochure. Now, you can fill in the choice for JoSAA Seat allocation. Just remember one thing your credential should be same as per JEE Advanced admit card.

 

Q:   When will JEE Advanced counselling take place?

A:

JEE Advanced counselling is called JoSAA. JoSAA is being conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority. JoSAA 2024 registration and choice filling started on June 10, 2024. There will be 5 rounds of seat allotment. Candidates who are allotted seats in each round of JoSAA 2024 Counselling will be required to choose the options from Freeze, Float or Slide. Candidates who opt Freeze option will be required to complete reporting process between the prescribed deadline. The candidates who are not allotted seats during JoSAA 2024 seat allotment rounds still get a chance to get enrolled in NIT+ system through CSAB counselling 2024. Eligible candidates had to apply for the JoSAA counselling 2024 online on the official website at josaa. nic. in. During the counselling of JoSAA, two rounds of mock allotment are held to help candidates make correct choices for the real allotment rounds. The JoSAA 2024 seat allotment result is released in online mode after every round. Candidates are allotted seats according to their merit, preferences and availability of seats. The admission process for admissions in 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 25 IIITs, and 28 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs) is managed by The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Q:   When will the result of JEE Advanced be out?

A:

JEE Advanced 2024 result was announced on June 9, 2024. Candidates can check and download the JEE Advanced 2024 scorecard under their respective login on jeeadv. ac. in. To Download JEE Advanced 2024 scorecard, candidates have to use 7-digit roll number, date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format, and the 10-digit phone number that they used while registering for JEE (Advanced). Also, category-wise All India Ranks (AIR) of successful candidates will be available through the JEE Advanced 2024 online portal after the results are declared. Text messages will also be sent to the candidates to their registered mobile numbers. Only those candidates who will secure minimum marks in JEE Advanced 2024, as prescribed by the IITs will be included in the AIR list for JoSAA counselling and IIT admissions. Allotment of seats will be solely based on the category-wise All India Rank in the JEE Advanced 2024.

JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Date

JEE Advanced is a national-level engineering entrance test that is held in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The exam consists of two question papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2, which are both mandatory and have a duration of three hours each. Q:   Do I have to choose my question paper language at the time of JEE Advanced registration?

A:

No. There is no need to indicate Question paper language at the time of Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2024 registration. Students will have the option to choose their preferred language that is English or Hindi as the default language for viewing the questions, at the start of the CBT (Computer Based Test) examination of Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2024.

 

Q:   Will there be an opportunity to correct details in JEE Advanced application form after submission of the form?

A:

There are no provisions for correction in details filled in the online JEE Advanced 2024 form. Once the application form is submitted and the application fee is paid, the forms cannot be accessed for editing or any sort of correction. Therefore candidates must carefully read, fill and submit the JEE Advanced application form 2024. The details in the application form will be used in admit card, the result and also in the final admission/counselling. Hence the candidates must be very cautious while submitting the JEE Advanced form. Check all details twice before the final submission of the form.

 

Q:   I completed JEE Advanced registration and downloaded the registration receipt, still haven't received a confirmation email. What to do?

A:

If you have completed all the steps of JEE Advanced registration and downloaded the registration receipt, it is possible that there may be a delay in receiving the confirmation email. However, it is recommended to wait for a few hours or a day to receive the email. If you still haven't received the confirmation email, you can try the following:

  • Check your spam or junk mail folder: Sometimes, the email may land in the spam or junk mail folder of your email account.
  • Contact JEE Advanced Helpdesk: You can contact the JEE Advanced helpdesk to enquire about the status of your registration confirmation email. The contact details of the helpdesk are available on the official JEE Advanced website.
  • Re-send confirmation email: Some institutes may provide an option to re-send the confirmation email. You can try this option if it is available.
  • Wait for some time: As mentioned earlier, there may be a delay in receiving the confirmation email. Hence, it is recommended to wait for some time before taking any further action.
