NTA JEE Mains 2026 Dates Session 1 & 2: Application Form, Exam, Admit Card, Answer Key, Result, Counselling Schedule

The official website of JEE Mains 2026 is jeemain.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in. NTA will release all the information related to JEE Main 2026 Session 1 and 2 exams only on this official website. The link for JEE Mains registration, admit card, answer key and result is made available only on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The website has full details related to exam dates, application process, admit card, answer key and result. NTA will soon announce the JEE Main 2026 exam date. JEE Main 2026 exam will be conducted in two sessions in January and April. The exact date of JEE exam 2026 will be announced tentatively in November on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

NTA will start JEE Mains 2026 registration tentatively in the first week of November. JEE Main application form 2026 will be available online on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. NTA will released the separate JEE Main 2026 application form for session 2 in February.

As per the JEE Main eligibility criteria released by the NTA there is no maximum or minimum age to apply for JEE Main. Candidates of any age can apply and appear in the JEE Main exam. The only criteria which is applicable is that the candidate can appear in JEE Mains for three consecutive years from the year of passing class 12. For example, if a candidate is applying for JEE Main 2024, candidate must have passed class 12 in 2022, 2023 or appearing in 2024.

As per the official numbers released by the NTA, a total of 13.11 lakh candidates registered for the JEE Main 2025 session 1 exam of which 12.58 lakh candidates appeared. This is the highest number of candidates appeared in JEE Mains. In JEE Main 2024, the total number of unique candidates who appeared both the session is 11.7 lakh.  Canddiates can see the gender-wise distribution of candidates below. Generally, the number of unique candidates appearing in JEE Main every year is around 10 Lacs in both sessions. The exact number of students is released by the NTA every year on the official website with category, gender and state-wise data. Candidates need not have 75 percent marks in class 12 for appearing in JEE Main. As per the official brochure released by the NTA there is no minimum percentage required for appearing in the JEE Main. The requirement of 75 percent marks need not be associated with JEE Main. It is to be understood that 75 percent marks is required for admission to institutes which include NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and IITs. There are many institutes which offer admission on 60% and even less along with JEE Main. Candidates must clearly understand that the requirement of 75 percent marks in class 12 is only for taking admission in the institutes.

Candidates should report to the JEE Main exam centre as per the time mentioned in their admit card. Ideally, every candidate should report to the exam centre at least one hour prior to the start of JEE Mains exam. The first shift of exam starts at 9 am and the second shift at 3 pm.  

JEE Main exam is conducted in two shifts each day. The first shift is conducted from 9 am to 12 noon while the second shift is held from 3 pm to 5 pm. The exam is conducted over a period of 5-6 days. In total JEE Main have a total 10-12 shifts per session. Students in each session get different set of question paper. The paper will be of 3 hours duration.

The duration of JEE Main exam is 3 hours or 180 minutes. Candidates who fall under PwD category are given 4 hours to complete the exam as they are provided 20 minute extra for every one hour. Students who opts to appear in Paper 2A (BArch) and Paper 2B (BPlan) both will be provided 3.5 hours. 

JEE Mains exam is held in morning and evening session. The timing of morning session is 9 am to 12 noon and for evening session the timing is 3 pm to 6 pm. Each day exam is held in two session. 

The official website to apply for JEE Main 2026 is jeemain.nta.nic.in. NTA will release the JEE Main application form 2026 session 1 in November first week. Candidates can fill the form online from the website. The schedule of JEE Main 2026 application form will be announced on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. NTA will release the JEE Main application form 2026 tentatively in November first week. JEE Mains 2026 registration last date will be around November last week. JEE Main 2026 session 2 application form will be released around first week of February and the last date to apply will be February last week. JEE Mains correction window 2026 will open after the last date of filling the application form. The facility to make correction will be available online on the JEE Main official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. During the correction window, candidates are allowed to change/modify details filled in their application form. Candidates must note that not all fields in the application form will be open for correction. Only certain information like category, address of correspodance/permanent address, exam city preference, paper choice, photo, signature etc. can be modified. Candidates might also be required to pay additional fees for making corrections in certain fields. 

JEE Main form correction facility is provided online wherein candidates can edit the information filled in the application form. Candidates who wish to make any changes to the application form have to login to the JEE Main official website using their application number and password. JEE Main exam city slip is the document which have details about the city in which the exam centre of the candidate is located. The JEE Mains city intimation slip also have details of the JEE Main exam date of the candidates. Candidates must note that the exam city slip is different from the admit card. NTA releases the exam city intimation slip around 1 week before the exam starts.

No, JEE Main admit card and exam city slip are not same. Exam city intimation slip gives details about exam city and date of exam of candidates. It is released before the release of admit cards. 

JEE Main admit card is the hall ticket, which allows entry to thee exam hall for appearing in the exam. Candidates are allowed to appear in the exam only with JEE Mains admit card and not exam city slip.

To check your JEE Mains exam city, you can download the city intimation slip from the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA). Visit jeemain.nta.nic.in and look for the "JEE (Main) City Intimation Slip" link under the candidate activity section. Log in using your application number, date of birth, and security pin to access the slip. Keep an eye on the website for updates, as the link is usually released a few days before the exam.

 

 

JEE Main city intimation slip 2026 will be available on the NTA official website jeemain.nta.ac.in tentatively in the third week of January for the session 1 exam. JEE Mains City slip have details about the JEE Main exam city in which the candidate is allotted the centre to appear in the exam and the date of exam. NTA will release the JEE Mains 2026 session 2 city intimation slip in March third week. NTA releases the JEE Main Admit card a few days before the exam. JEE Mains 2026 Session 1 admit card download link will be activated on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in around 3rd week of January. Candidates have to login to the website to downlaod their admit card. JEE Main Session 2 admit card 2026 will be released in March last week.

The link to download JEE Mains Admit card 2026 will b available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. NTA will release the JEE Main 2026 admit card separately for both sessions. To download the JEE Main hall ticket, candidates have to login to the website using their application number and password.

NTA is yet to announce the JEE Mains 2026 session 1 exam date. As per the past year trends, NTA is likely to conduct the JEE Main session 1 exam in the last week of January. NTA will conduct the exam in two shifts every exam day in approximately 300 test cities of India and abroad. NTA will announce the JEE Main 2026 exam date for session 2 in November. JEE Main 2026 session 2 exam will likely be held in the first week of Aril. JEE Main 2026 session 2 registration will start in February first week. The JEE Main Application Form 2026 session 2 will be available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE 2026 session 1 exam will be conducted in January last week.

 

NTA will release the JEE Main Answer key 2026 around 2-3 days after the conclusion of the exam. The link to check JEE Main answer key 2026 will be available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. candidates can download JEE Main answer key response sheet by login to the website. Candidates have to use JEE Main login available at he website for JEE Main answer key download.

Step 3- Login using your JEE Main 2025 application number and password/date of birth

Step 4- The answer key will be displayed on the screen along with response sheet

Step 5- Download the answer key and take its printout.

The final answer key, released after reviewing the objections submitted by the candidates will be used for calculating the result/score of the candidates. The final answer key is not subjected for challenge/submission of grievances by the candidates.

NTA releases the JEE Main result online on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. To check JEE Main result, candidates must follow the step-by-step process mentioned below: 

• Visit the official website of NTA JEE Main result at jeemain.nta.nic.in 2026.

• On the latest news banner, click on ‘View JEE Main 2026 result’ or ‘View score card’.

• On the next page, enter the application number, date of birth and security pin 

• Next, click on 'Submit'.

• on the next page, JEE Main Result 2026 along with scores will appear on the screen.

To check JEE Mains Result 2025, candidates need to use their login credentials. Candidates need to use their application number and date of birth to login on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in to check their JEE Main result. Candidates can also use their application number and password to check the result. NTA will declare the JEE Main result 2025 session 1 by February 12.
