MET is one of the popularly picked private engineering entrance exams by the students so the difficulty level of MET is quite high. No. The authorities will not accept any other examination scores for MET counselling. All candidates will be assessed based on their scores secured in MET. To participate in the MET counselling and be eligible for admissions into the offered courses by the campuses, the candidates will have to attempt and qualify the entrance examination. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's rank along with other factors such as order of preferences, category and seat availability.

The authorities will conduct MET online i.e., as a computer-based test. The candidates will have to attempt the examination in 2 hours. While attempting the examination, the candidates will have to attempt multiple-choice questions and numerical answer type questions. The total number of questions to be attempted in the examination is 60.

Candidates are advised to check the official MET eligibility criteria before registration. If the candidates are not able to meet the eligibility criteria, then they will be disqualified from the MET admission process. After the MET result is announced, the candidates will be able to participate in the counselling and admission process. The authorities will release the MET counselling dates online. The candidates will have to register for the MET counselling by updating their profile and choosing their preferred course and campus. MET seat allotment result will be announced online. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's rank, preferences and seat availability.

Candidates will be able to check their individual MET seat allotment result online at counseling.manipal.edu. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's obtained MET rank, preferences, category and seat availability. During the MET counselling process, the candidates will have to be careful in selecting their choice of courses and campuses as it will be considered for allotment. No other mode will be used to declare the MET seat allotment results.

If the candidates forget their MET application login password, then they can regenerate it by following the given steps.

• Candidates will have to provide their registered email address along with a few other details.

The candidates will have to stay updated by regularly checking the announcements made in the official website regarding the hall ticket of MET. MET exam pattern will be prepared and released by the authorities of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). The pattern will consitute the details regarding how the entrance examination is conducted by the authorities. Through the exam pattern, the candidates will be able to obtain information about important details related to the entrance examination. MET is held as a computer-based test at various centres. The duration of the MET mock test has been announced. Candidates will be allotted 60 minutes to complete the mock test. A total of 18 questions have to be answered within the allotted duration. Once the time is over, the paper will be automatically submitted and no answers can be marked or submitted. Yes, the candidates are advised to study the entire MET syllabus for the entrance examination. MET English section syllabus will be similar to the General English section of the 12th standard qualifying examination. MET 2025 slot booking dates have been announced. Registered candidates were able to access the MET slot booking facility for Phase 2 online until May 4, 2025. If the candidates were not able to complete the slot booking before the final date, then they were automatically allotted slots as per the availability. No requests for changes in the allotted slots will be accepted after the final date. For Phase 1, the slot booking dates were April 7 to 9, 2025.

The authorities have informed that the OTBS password is the candidate's date of birth in the format of DDMMYYYY. The slot booking facility can only be accessed with the OTBS password. Candidates are required to have completed the MET registration process to access the OTBS password. Candidates will be required to check their profile information and confirm it during the MET slot booking. Basic details such as the candidate's name, application number, date of birth, gender, category, course, group, phone number, email address and more will be available for confirmation. After checking all of the details, the candidates are advised to immediately contact the authorities if they find any mistakes. After the slots are booked, the candidates will be able to access the information regarding their allotted exam centre, date and time.

Yes. It is necessary for the candidates to complete their MET slot booking process. All candidates are advised to log in and complete the slot booking as soon as possible since it will allow them to have more chances of obtaining their preferred slots. If the candidates are not able to complete the slot booking before the final date, then they will be automatically allotted seats by the authorities as per the availability. The authorities will not accept any requests for change of slots after the final date. 

MET application fee has to be paid online by the candidates to successfully be registered for the entrance examination. For candidates belonging to the General Category, the application fee of MET is INR 600. All candidates will have to pay the MET application fee online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. No other mode of payment will be accepted by the authorities.

During the application process, the candidates will be able to choose three options from the list of the available MET exam cities. It is to be noted that the selection of exam cities will have to be done carefully since the allotment of exam centres will depend on it. MET seat allotment result will be announced online at counseling.manipal.edu. No other mode will be used to declare the seat allotment of MET. Candidates will be able to check the MET seat allotment result by logging in using their application number and OTBS password. Through the seat allotment result, the candidates will be able to check the course and campus that they have been allotted to. The selected candidates will also be informed about the admission confirmation and fee payment process.

After the MET seat allotment, the selected candidates will have to confirm their admission. All of the allotted candidates will have to report to their respective institute and verify their documents for admission confirmation. Along with the document verification, the candidates will have to pay the first year tuition fee in two instalments. The first instalment is INR 2,40,000 and the second instalment will be as per the course selected. The required fee has to be paid online before the final date. If the candidates are not able to pay the admission fee before the final date, then their allotment will be cancelled.

All candidates will be required to pay a fee of INR 10,000 during the MET counselling process. The MET counselling fee has to be paid online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. No other mode of payment will be accepted. If the candidates are not able to pay the counselling fee before the final date, then they will not be allowed to participate in the allotment and admission process. The allotted candidates will be able to adjust their counselling fee with their tuition fee.

Candidates should meet the basic eligibility criteria for MET counselling. All candidates are required to have a valid MET rank. They should also have passed 12th standard qualifying or equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate marks of 50% in Physics, Mathematics and one optional subjects. If the candidates do not meet the required eligibility, then they will not be allowed to participate in the MET counselling and admission process.

MET 2025 counselling is expected to start in the second week of June 2025. • Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) - 4 marks will be allotted to every correct answer, while 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

MET 2025 application form last date for Phase 2 was April 22. Candidates had to fill out and submit the MET application form before the final date. No late applications will be accepted. MET application form was available online and no other mode of application will be accepted by the authorities. Only the registered candidates will be able to participate in the entrance examination. For Phase 1 exam, MET 2025 registration process was open until March 28, 2025.

If there is a case when two or more candidates secure the same marks in MET, then the authorities will follow the tie-breaking rules to allot the ranks accordingly. The rules will be followed in the given order.

• Candidates who have higher marks in Mathematics will be allotted a higher rank.
• If the tie still exists, then the candidates with higher marks in Physics will be given a higher rank.
• If the tie has still not broken, then the candidates with higher marks in Chemistry will be allotted a higher rank.
• If the tie still persists, then the candidates with higher marks in 10th standard PCM will be allotted a higher rank.
• Finally, if the tie is still not broken, then the candidates who are older will be given a higher rank.

By revising regularly, the candidates will have fewer chances of forgetting what they have studied earlier. Candidates are advised to check the syllabus well so that they know what is to be studied for the entrance examination.

No. MET application form is not available offline. The candidates can now access the official link for the application form of MET online at manipal.edu. No other mode of application will be accepted by the authorities. The candidates will have to fill out their required details, upload documents and pay the application fee online. After the application form is submitted, the candidates are not required to submit the print out of the form to the authorities.

As per the official MET exam pattern, the authorities will conduct the examination for 2 hours. Candidates will have to attempt 60 multiple-choice questions and numerical answer type questions during the duration of the examination. During the examination, the candidates will be allowed to skip sections and come back to attempt the missed questions within the time limit. No extra time will be provided. Since the time limit may seem less to the candidates, they are advised to practice their time management skills.

If the candidates are not satisfied with their MET seat allotment, then they can forgo their allotment and participate in the next round of counselling. Registered candidates will be able to edit their submitted choice of courses and campuses in every round. In the next round, the candidates can edit the order of their preferences as per their wishes and participate in counselling and seat allotment process. Eligible candidates will be able to participate in all rounds of MET counselling.

Yes. MET scorecard will be available online for downloading. The candidates will be able to access and download the scorecard of MET by logging in using their application number and OTBS password. After providing the required credentials, the scorecard will be displayed on the screen. Candidates will have to download and print out the MET scorecard for future use. All details present in the scorecard should be checked carefully. 

Candidates will be able to select their preferred MET exam cities while filling out the application form. The cities for the entrance examination have to be selected in the order of preference and submitted. During the slot booking, the candidates will be able to select their choice of exam centres from the city that they have preferred. The slots available in the centre have to be chosen and submitted before the final date. The details regarding the allotted MET exam centre, date and time will be available on the admit card.
