CDS 2 Admit Card 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will release the CDS 2 2025 admit card on the official website at upsc.gov.in. The CDS 2 2025 exam will be held on September 14, 2025. Candidates will be able to download their CDS 2 hall ticket 2025 through candidates' login on the official website. A direct link will also be provided below once it is released. Candidates required to use their application number and date of birth to login to the registered accounts.

The CDS 1 2025 exam was held on April 13, 2025. The CDS (Combined Defence Services) exam is a national-level exam to select candidates for the Indian Armed Forces. The candidates are trained in IMA, INA, AFA, and OTA. The selected candidates undergo rigorous training to be recruited as Lieutenant in the Indian Armed Forces.  

The UPSC will provide the CDS 2 admit card on the official website as well as on the registered email provided by the candidate while filling out the CDS online form 2025. The candidates can get the latest updates related to the UPSC CDS exam on the page below.

Q:   How is age calculated in CDS?
A: 

The age of candidate is calculated from the date of joining and not from the date of application. That is why the candidates are advised to add 10 to 12 months to reach min or maximum age limit criteria. However, UPSC releases the age limit criteria for the candidates along with the notification for the CDS exam. As per the notification for CDS 2 exam released the age limit limitations are mentioned below:
(i) For IMA—Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 2000 and not
later than 1st July, 2005 only are eligible.
(ii) For Indian Naval Academy—Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd
July, 2000 and not later than 1st July, 2005 only are eligible.
(iii) For Air Force Academy— 

  • 20 to 24 years as on 1st July, 2024 i.e. born not earlier than 2nd July, 2000 and not later than 1st July, 2004 (Upper age limit forcandidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 yrs.
    i.e. born not earlier than 2nd July, 1998 and not later than 1st July, 2004 only are eligible.

Note: Candidate below 25 years of age must be unmarried. Marriage is not permitted during training. Married candidates above 25 years of age are eligible to apply but during training period they will neither be provided married accommodation nor can they live with family out of the premises.

iv) For Officers' Training Academy— (SSC Course for men) unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1999 and not later than 1st July, 2005 only are eligible.

 v) For Officers' Training Academy— (SSC Women Non-Technical Course) Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd July, 1999 and not later than 1st July, 2005.

Q:   How many vacancies are announced for the CDS 2 2025 exam?
A: 

The UPSC released the CDS 2 approximate Vacancies 2025, along with the CDS 2 notification. UPSC has announced 453 CDS 2 Vacancies 2025 for IMA (Indian Military Academy), INA (Indian Naval Academy), AFA (Air Force Academy), and OTA (Officers Training Academy). The UPSC will fill the CDS 2 vacancy 2025 by holding an online test for all applicants. The UPSC CDS 2 2025 Vacancy, as well as the CDS 2 Notification 2025, was published on the official website.

CDS Exam Pattern for IMA, INA, IFA

The candidates who are going to appear for the CDS exam for the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), and AFA (Air Force Academy) must know the exam pattern. The UPSC CDS exam pattern has been given below for the candidates:
