IBPS RRB 2023: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) released IBPS RRB Clerk 2023 mains admit card on September 18, 2023. The last date to download the admit card is September 22, 2023. IBPS RRB Clerk mains exam was conducted on September  16, 2023. The overall difficulty of the exam was moderate. IBPS RRB PO mains result will be announced soon. The exam was conducted on September 10.

IBPS RRB 2023 recruitment is being conducted to fill a total of 9075 vacancies to the post of Officers Scale 1, 2, 3 and Office Assistant (Multipurpose). What is IBPS RRB Recruitment?

IBPS RRB is a national-level banking exam conducted every year by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for candidates who aspire to join the Regional Rural Bank (RRBs). Recruitment is carried out for the following Group A and B posts.

For Officer level posts, candidates are selected based on preliminary exam, mains/single-level exam, and interview. For Office Assistant (Multipurpose)/Clerk post, candidates are selected based on preliminary and mains exams. Candidates provisionally shortlisted are allotted to one of the participating RRBs based on the number of vacancies and merit-cum-preference.

Aspirants must also read about National Recruitment Agency (NRA). The organisation has been formed by the Union Cabinet to conduct a Common Eligibility Test (CET) to appoint candidates in Non-Technical and Non-Gazetted Group B and C posts under SSC, RRB, and IBPS. NRA CET will serve as a screening/preliminary exam for subsequent stages of the selection process. NRA will only conduct the Prelims/Tier-I exam, while the other stages of selection will be conducted by the respective examination bodies.

What are Regional Rural Banks?

Regional Rural Banks or RRBs are the scheduled commercial government banks operating at the regional level in different states of India. RRBs have been created with a view of serving primarily the rural population by providing banking and financial services. The roles and responsibilities of RRBs are given below:

  • Providing banking services to rural and semi-urban areas
  • Carrying out activities such as disbursement of wages of MGNREGA workers, distribution of pensions, etc.
  • Providing facilities such as locker, debit and credit cards, mobile banking, internet banking, UPI, etc.

The purpose of conducting the IBPS RRB exam is to recruit candidates to the post of Officers Scale I, II, III, and Office Assistant to the different Gramin banks of the country. IBPS RRB Exam Analysis 2023

The difficulty level of IBPS RRB Clerk mains exam was moderate. The mains exam carried questions from Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, General Awareness, English/Hindi Language and Computer Knowledge. The maximum number of marks allotted to the test is 200.

IBPS RRB PO mains exam 2023 was conducted on September 10, 2023. The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate. IBPS RRB Clerk prelims exam paper was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. The Maths section was moderate whereas the Reasoning section was easy. Maximum questions from Maths were asked from DI and Simplification. Questions in Reasoning were asked from Number Series, Seating Arrangement, and Inequality.

IBPS RRB Exam Day Guidelines 

Candidates can check below IBPS RRB exam day guidelines:

Reporting Time

  • The reporting time is different for different candidates
  • Candidates are required to report much before the reporting time to avoid crowding
  • Candidates are required to report at least 15 minutes before the reporting time indicated on the admit card
  • Candidates' roll numbers and lab numbers are not displayed outside the exam venue. They are informed individually at the entry gate, post admit card and ID verification

Items permitted inside the exam centre

  • Candidates are required to wear a mask 
  • Candidates can carry a personal transparent water bottle and hand sanitiser of 50 ml
  • Candidates are allowed to carry pen
  • Candidates are required to carry exam-related documents such as admit card, ID card in the original, photocopy of ID Card, etc
  • Candidates are required to submit a health self-declaration
  • The temperature of candidates is checked at the entry gate through thermo guns

Candidate registration

  • Candidates' registrations are done through photo capture
  • Photographs are taken while candidates are standing
  • The seat number is given to the candidate after registration

Rough sheet, call letter and ID proof management

  • Rough sheets are kept at each candidate's desk. No additional rough sheets are provided 
  • The call letter and ID proof copy are required to be dropped in the boxes provided at the exit of lab/venue
  • Candidates are required to drop the rough sheets in the boxes provided at the exit of the lab/venue while leaving the exam centres
  • The drop boxes are different for the rough sheets and call letters

Banned items

  • Any stationery item such as textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, scale, writing pad, pen drives, log table, electronic pen/scanner, etc are not allowed inside the exam centre
  • Any communication device such as mobile phone, Bluetooth, earphones, microphones, pager, health band, etc. are not allowed
  • Other items such as sunglasses, handbags, hair-pin, hair-band, belt, cap, etc. are also not allowed
  • All ornament such as ring, earrings, nose-pin, chain/necklace, pendants, badge, brooch, etc. are thoroughly checked
  • Watch, camera, or any metallic item are not allowed
  • Any eatable item opened or packed, water bottle, etc. are not allowed
  • Any other item which could be used for unfair means for hiding communication devices such as camera, bluetooth devices, etc. are not allowed

Iris Scan

Iris is scanned at the exam venue in lieu of a biometric thumb impression due to the COVID-19 situation. The process is given below:

  • Iris of the left eye is captured for all the candidates
  • Candidates are required to remove contact lenses and spectacles while capturing Iris
  • Half feet distance between scanner and eye is maintained

IBPS RRB 2023 notification was released to recruit eligible banking aspirants for Office Assistant (Clerk) and Officers Scale I, II and III in different Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). IBPS RRB 2023 application form was released on June 1. Earlier, the last date to fill the application form was June 21. However, the application deadline was extended to June 28. Interested candidates were required to fill the application form online. The application fee was INR 850 for General and OBC candidates and INR 175 for SC/ST/PWD categories. Candidates were not required to send the hard copy of their application forms. IBPS RRB application form was released to fill up a total of 8860 vacancies.   • They need to click the ‘IBPS RRB Apply Online Link’ on the home page
  •  Candidates need to first register for the exam by entering the basic details
  • After registration, registration ID and password are generated
  • Candidates need to upload the scanned photograph and signature
  • Candidates need to proceed towards filling the detailed application form
  • After filling the detailed application form, candidates need to preview and submit the same

The application fee for IBPS RRB exam is INR 850 for General and OBC candidates and INR 175 for SC/ST/PWD categories. Applicants need to pay the application fee online only. The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets. After final submission, an additional page of the online application form is displayed wherein candidates may follow the instructions and fill in the requisite details. If the online transaction is not successfully completed then candidates are advised to login again with their provisional registration number and password and pay the application fees/intimation charges online. On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt is generated. Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-receipt and online application form
containing fee details. 

IBPS RRB Eligibility Criteria 2023

IBPS prescribed the IBPS RRB eligibility criteria in terms age limit, nationality and educational qualification. The eligibility criteria of IBPS RRB is given below.

To appear for the exam, candidates need to first fill IBPS RRB application form online on the official website. The application fee which can be paid online is INR 850 for General and OBC candidates and it is INR 175 for SC/ST/PWD categories.

Release of IBPS Admit Card

Separate admit cards are released for preliminary, mains/single level exams, and interviews. IBPS RRB admit card is released online on the official website. To download IBPS RRB admit card, candidates need to enter the registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post. The admit card is a mandatory document without which candidates are not allowed to appear in the exam.

The preliminary, mains, and single-level exams are held online across various cities spread throughout the country and in multiple shifts.

IBPS RRB Result Declaration

IBPS RRB result is released online on the official website. To check the IBPS RRB result, candidates need to login with registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. The scorecard and IBPS RRB cut off are released a few days after the declaration of the result. 

IBPS RRB Final Selection

For Office Assistant (Multipurpose)/Clerk post, provisional allotment of candidates is done based on the mains exam only. The final selection for Officers Scale I post is done based on the mains exam and interview. Provisional allotment to the post of Officers Scale II and III is done based on the performance of candidates in the single-level exam and interview. 

IBPS RRB 2023 Exam Centres

IBPS RRB exam centres are the cities where prelims and mains exams are conducted. The preliminary exam of IBPS RRB is conducted in more than 170 cities while the mains exam is conducted in more than 70 cities. Candidates need to enter their preferences for exam cities while filling the application form.

IBPS RRB Clerk is the post of Office Assistant. Candidates selected for this post are responsible for handling receipts, handling withdrawal, handling emails, and delivery.

Officers Scale 3 is the post of Senior Manager, while Officer Scale 2 is the post of Manager. Officer Scale I is the post of Assistant Manager. The role of IBPS RRB is to check regular banking activities, granting loans, maintaining credit profile, recovery of loans, implementation of schemes, etc.
