What is JEECUP exam?
JEECUP is an annual entrance examination conducted by the Joint Entrance Examination Council (Polytechnic) to provide admissions into the participating polytechnic institutes of the state. The courses offered through JEECUP 2025 are Technology, Engineering and Pharmacy. The entrance examination is held as a computer-based test that will check the aptitude and knowledge of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The eligible candidates must qualify for the exam and participate in the admission process. There is no other mode of admission for the participating institutes of JEECUP.

The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh, re-released the UP Polytechnic JEECUP 2025 application form process. During the UP JEECUP application process, the candidates had to register, fill in their details, upload documents, pay the fee and submit the form. The application fee could be paid online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. Only the registered candidates were able to participate in the JEECUP admission process. Candidates had to note that the UP Polytechnic JEECUP application form 2025 was available online only. Applicants were advised to check the eligibility criteria before filling out the JEECUP application form 2025. Applicants who made any mistake at the time of filling the JEECUP application form 2025 were able to make corrections in their form until May 20, 2025.

JEECUP 2025 Reservation Criteria
As per the UP Government rules, the candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible for a seat. These categories are:
1, Vertical Reservations:
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of General Category – 10%
- Other Backward Classes (OBC) if they belong to Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) - 27%
- Scheduled Castes (SC) - 21%
- Scheduled Tribes (ST) - 2%
