SBI PO Selection Process
SBI PO selection process comprises three stages: Phase I (Preliminary), Phase II (Mains), and Phase III (Psychometric test, Interview, and Group Exercises). All registered candidates are first required to appear for the Phase I prelims exam. On the basis of the marks in the prelims exam, candidates are called for the mains exam. Candidates qualifying the mains exam are called for Phase III. Candidates 10 times (approx.) the number of vacancies in each category are shortlisted for the Main Examination from the top of the above merit list. Candidates three times the number of vacancies are shortlisted for Phase III from the top of the category-wise merit list.
The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) are not added to preparing the final merit list for selection. The marks obtained by the candidates in Phase-II (Main Examination both Objective & Descriptive Tests) and Phase-III (Group Exercise & Interview) will be normalised to 100 marks. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating (out of 100) converted marks of Phase-II and Phase-III. SBI PO Selection is made from the top merit-ranked candidates in each category.
