Q:   What is SSC CHSL marking scheme?

A:
SSC CHSL marking scheme is prescribed by the examination authority, Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The CHSL marking scheme is different for each exam stage- Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3. The scores of candidates are calculated as per the marking scheme. SSC CHSL marking scheme is given below: Candidates are awarded +2 marks for each correct answer. For each incorrect answer, 0.5 marks are deducted as a negative marking in objective paper. There is no negative marking for the descriptive paper. If a question is left blank, there is no penalty.

Q:   What type of questions are asked in SSC CHSL exam?

SSC CHSL Tier 1 contains objective-type multiple choice questions (MCQs). On the other hand, SSC CHSL Tier 2 is objective type as well, except for Module-II of Section-3, which is a Typing or Skill Test. The exam pattern of the SSC CHSL includes structure of Tier 1 and Tier 2. The Tier 1 exam includes a total of 100 questions of 2 marks each from four sections - General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The questions will be set in English and Hindi except for Module II (I. e. English Language and Comprehension module) in Section II. There will be negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section I, Section II and Module I of Section III.

In Tier 1 of the SSC CHSL exam, a total of 100 questions are asked. Step 1: Apply online for SSC CHSL 

Registration is mandatory to fill out the SSC CHSL application form. After registration, the candidates can fill out the CHSL application form online.

  • SSC CHSL registration: Candidates need to visit the official website of SSC (ssc.nic.in) and click on the 'New User? Register Now' link. Candidates need to fill in all details asked in the SSC registration form. On successful registration, a registration number and password will be generated. Candidates need to note down the registration number and password and retain the details for future reference.
  • SSC CHSL applications: Candidates need to log in with the registration number and password. Candidates need to fill out the SSC CHSL application form after logging into the official website. After filling in the details, the candidates need to submit the application fee as per their category.

Step 2: Download SSC CHSL Tier-I admit card

SSC CHSL admit cards for tier-I is released four days before the exam date. Candidates can download their admit cards for the exam from the regional websites of the commission.

Step 3: Appear for SSC CHSL Tier-I exam

Candidates who successfully apply for the exam need to appear for the tier-I paper. SSC CHSL Tier-I is a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The CBT contains 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).

Step 4: Check SSC CHSL Tier-I result

SSC CHSL Tier-I result is released online only. The result contains the names and roll numbers of all the candidates who clear the tier-I exam. 

Step 5: Download SSC CHSL Tier-II admit card

The tier-II admit cards are released for candidates who clear the SSC CHSL tier-I exam. The admit card is released online on the regional websites of the Staff Selection Commission.

Step 6: Appear for SSC CHSL Tier-II exam

The SSC CHSL Tier-II exam pattern has been changed as per the official notification.

Step 8: Appear for SSC CHSL Document Verification

All candidates who qualify SSC CHSL exam finally have to appear for the document verification round. SSC CHSL Vacancy 2022

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released the final vacancies and option-cum-preference form for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination, 2022. The Commission seeks to fill a total of 3,242 vacancies through the SSC CHSL 2022 recruitment drive. The SSC CHSL option-cum-preference form 2022 was available from July 22 to 27, 2023.

SSC CHSL 2021

The SSC CHSL 2021-22 Skill Test of the qualified candidates was conducted on January 6, 2023. The SSC CHSL 2021–22 marks were uploaded by the commission of qualified or non-qualified candidates on the official website on December 23, 2022. This facility was available for a period from December 23, 2022, to January 5, 2023. Candidates could check their marks by logging in with their registered ID and password. 

On the other hand, SSC CHSL 2021–22 result was released by the Commission on December 16, 2022. The commission released SSC CHSL Tier 2 result PDFs, one for each post group. Along with the result, the commission also released a separate SSC CHSL Tier 2 cutoff for each post group. Candidates can check their results here and download the SSC CHSL Tier 2 result pdf. The SSC CHSL 2020-21 final result was released on December 7, 2022 on the official website.

The SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam was conducted on September 18, 2022. The Commission selected 54,104 candidates for the SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam, and almost all the candidates appeared in the Tier 2 exam. The candidates who cleared the Tier 2 exam were called for the Typing Skill Test. The SSC announced 6,072 vacancies for the CHSL 2021 exam. The number of vacancies is higher as compared to last year (2020). Therefore, the cutoff may be reduced and the number of selections for Tier II will be greater.

SSC CHSL 2021 Skill Test/Typing Test Result Declared

The commission declared the result for the SSC CHSL 2021-22 Skill Test/Typing Test on March 18, 2023. Eligible candidates can download their CHSL 2021 Skill Test result and cut off PDF by visiting the official website, ssc.nic.in. Also, direct link is provided below. 

According to the cut-off fixed by the Commission in the Skill Test (DEST/Typing Test) of the examination, a total of 14873 candidates qualified for the Typing Test (List-I), 220 candidates qualified for the DEST (CAG) (List-II), and 1067 candidates qualified for the DEST (other than CAG) List-III (provisionally) to appear in Document Verification. Scroll down for more information. Candidates who qualified SSC CHSL 2021 Tier II exam were called for the skill test. Those who qualified in the skill test will be called for document verification. SSC CHSL 2020

The SSC CHSL 2020 final result was released. The SSC CHSL Data Entry and Typing Test result was released on October 18, 2022.
