SSC CPO Syllabus 2025: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) releases the SSC CPO syllabus along with the notification. SSC CPO syllabus comprises the topics under each section that candidates need to cover for the exam. The first and foremost strategy towards preparation is understanding the syllabus. The preparation for the exam is incomplete without the syllabus. SSC CPO syllabus of Paper 1 is divided into General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. The syllabus for Paper 2 comprises English Language and Comprehension. The standard of SSC CPO syllabus is of high school and graduation level. The detailed syllabus of SSC CPO is given below.

General Intelligence and Reasoning: Questions are asked from analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding, and decoding, etc. 

General Knowledge and General Awareness: The test include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, scientific Research, etc. 

Quantitative Aptitude: Questions are asked from whole numbers, decimals, fractions and relationships between numbers,  Percentage, Ratio and Proportion,  Square
roots, Averages, Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Allegation, Time and distance, Time & Work, Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra and Elementary surds, etc. 

English Comprehension: This section assesses a candidate's ability to understand basic English,  Comprehension & Writing Ability.

SSC CPO Paper 1 Syllabus

SSC CPO syllabus 2024 for Paper 1 is the first and foremost selection round for the recruitment of Sub Inspector (SI) in CAPF, Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) in CISF & Sub Inspector (SI) in Delhi Police. SSC CPO syllabus for Paper 1 is divided into four sections and consists of 50 questions in every section. For each correct answer, candidates will get one mark. SSC CPO Paper 2 is not qualifying in nature. The marks obtained in Paper 2 are considered for final merit list. The SSC CPO selection process starts with SSC CPO Paper 1, then PET/PST examination, then Paper 2, followed by Detailed Medical Exam (DME), and Document Verification (DV).

There are negative marks in SSC CPO exam. 0.25 marks are deducted for wrong answers in the exam. For correct answers, candidates score one mark. Candidates are advised to marks their answers properly in the exam to avoid negative markings.
