Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC CGL exam in online mode at the designated exam centres only.  The Staff Selection Commission conduct the SSC CGL exam to recruit the candidates for the following groups of posts:

Earlier, there were 4 tiers in the SSC CGL exam but the Commission 2022 changed the exam pattern and removed Tier 3 and Tier 4 from the exam process. Now, the SSC CGL Tier 2 result is considered the final result.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conductes the SSC GD exam every year for the recruitment of Constable (General Duty) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and other forces. The SSC GD post is generally referred to Constable GD, Riflemen GD and Sepoy. These posts are filled in the following forces:

A decent salary: The basic pay scale for the GD post ranges from Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100. At entry level, you can expect an in-hand salary of Rs. 23,527. 2. The SSC GD physical date 2025 for the PET/ PST exam has not been announced yet. The Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) of the SSC GD 2025 recruitment exam will be carried out by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), on behalf of the CAPF. Candidates who will qualify the SSC GD Constable exam, that is, CBE (online exam) will be called for the PET/ PST.

The Commission conducted the Constable GD in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF and Rifleman GD in Assam Rifles and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau Examination, 2025 on February 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 25, 2025. The SSC GD Constable 2025 exam was conducted online in the computer based exam (CBE) mode. The Staff Selection Commission organised the exam in various exam centres across India.

The SSC GD apply online 2026 link will be activated by the Commission in October 2025, along with the release of official notification. The Commission will release the official notification and application form for the SSC GD 2026 session on its official website. Candidates are required to fill out the SSC GD Constable application form 2026 in order to appear for the exam. The SSC GD last date 2026 to fill out the online form will be of November 2025.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will release the SSC GD result 2025 after the completion of the assessment process. The SSC GD result will be announced on the official website at ssc.gov.in. Along with the GD result, the commission announces the force-wise and category-wise GD Constable Cut Off. The SSC GD marks 2025 will also be released. The SSC GD marks and score card contain the section-wise scores of candidates. The SSC GD result only contains the qualifying status, cut off marks and force-wise qualifying numbers. 

The final results of the SSC GD Constable 2024 exam was out on December 13, 2024. The SSC GD Constable Result 2024 of the CBE was released on July 10, 2024.

The SSC CGL AAO (Assistant Audit Officer) salary is as follows:

The SSC CGL AAO salary ranges from INR 47,600 to INR 1,51,100 per month, based on the pay level and city of posting. The approximate gross SSC CGL AAO salary at pay level 8 is INR 63,100 to INR 70,716 per month, depending on the city of posting.

Please note that the SSC CGL salary is not the same for all candidates, as it varies based on the post and city of posting. The SSC CGL AAO salary is the highest among all the SSC CGL posts, followed by the Assistant Audit Officer (Non-Ministerial) post.

The SSC GD Physical Test 2025 will be conducted soon. The SSC GD Physical admit card 2025 for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) will be released by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). The SSC GD PET/PST admit catd will be released around 10 days before the allotted exam date.

Candidates who are appearing in their matriculation exam can apply for the SSC MTS exam, but they must ensure that they fulfill the age requirement as mentioned in the official notification. However, it is advised that such candidates should not apply for the exam, as they may not be able to produce their matriculation certificate at the time of document verification. The Commission will release the admit card only to those candidates who have uploaded their matriculation certificate during the application process.

Therefore, it is recommended that candidates who are appearing in their matriculation exam should wait for the results and then apply for the SSC MTS exam.
