SSC Exams 2025: The SSC GD result 2025 will be released soon. The SSC CGL 2025 application is underway. The SSC MTS 2025 notification will be released on June 26, 2025. SSC GD, CGL, CHSL, MTS & Others Exam Events 2025

SSC GD Constable Exam 2025: The SSC GD result 2025 will be announced soon. The SSC GD 2025 exam was held from February 4 to 25, 2025. The SSC GD Constable 2025 notification was released on September 5, 2024, on the official website- ssc.gov.in. The SSC GD application form 2025 was released along with the notification. The last date to fill out the online application form was October 15, 2024.

SSC MTS Exam: The SSC MTS 2025 notification will be released on June 26, 2025. The Staff Selection Commission will release the application form for the SSC MTS on June 26 along with the notification. The last date to fill out the SSC MTS application form 2025 is July 24, 2025.

Q:   What is the passing marks of SSC MTS?

The candidates are required to score marks equal to or more than their category cutoff to get selected for the exam. There are no such passing marks which can ensure selection. SSC MTS exam is a competitive exam and the candidates can be selected even when they score low marks if the overall cutoff is decreased.

The Commission prescribes the minimum qualifying marks for the candidates. The Commission prescribes certain minimum marks required for a candidate which make them eligible to get selected in the exam.

Q:   Is there any negative marking in the SSC GD exam?
A: 

Yes, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. The SSC GD exam is an objective type exam conducted online as Computer Based Exam (CBE). The marks assigned for the correct answer is 2 marks and the negative marking is 0.25 marks. No marks are deducted for unattempted questions. It is advisable that candidates should avoid the guesswork in the exam as the wrong guess would lower down the overall score.

Q:   How many times is SSC CGL conducted in a year?
A: 
Each stage (tier-I, II) of the SSC CGL exam is conducted once a year. The year 2022 was the exception because SSC CGL Tier 1 exam was conducted twice in a calendar year. SSC CGL Tier 1 exam 2021 was conducted from April 11 to 21 and SSC CGL Tier 1 exam 2022 was conducted till December 13. SSC CGL is a premiere exam of the Commission and it takes around one year to complete the exam process. Recently, the Staff Selection Commission SSC has released the SSC CGL 2023 notification on April 3, 2023 and it is expected that the exam process will be over by February-March 2024.
Q:   Will there be SSC GD exam in 2026?
A: 

Yes, there will be the SSC GD Constable exam in 2026. The Commission has notified the dates for the conduct of the Constable (GD) in CAPFs, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau Examination, 2026. The SSC GD Constable 2026 recruitment exam will be held in March - April 2026. The SSC GD 2026 notification will be released on November 11, 2025.

What is SSC?

The full form of SSC is Staff Selection Commission. Staff Selection Commission is an attached office to the Ministry of Personnel and Training. It was established after the recommendation of First Administrative Reforms Commission (1st ARC) in 1975 as the Subordinate Service Commission through an executive resolution. Q:   What are the minimum eligibility criteria to apply for the SSC CGL exam?

There are three main components of the SSC CGL eligibility. These are Nationality Educational Qualification Age limit. All the posts in the SSC CGL exam are open to the Citizens of India. To apply for the SSC CGL exam, the candidate must be a Graduate of a recognised university or institution. Apart from the citizenship and educational qualification, the candidates are required to fulfil the age limit and nationality criteria to appear in the exam.
Q:   What is the selection process for SSC CGL?

Staff Selection Commission changed the SSC CGL exam pattern in the last notification. The Commission removed the Tier 3 and Tier IV exam from the selection proecss.  The Commission must understand and internalise the SSC CGL exam pattern so that they can prepare well for the exam. 

The Commission also outsourced the Document Vertification and Detailed Medical Examination to the indented department. The SSC CGL selection process consists of twostages:

The SSC GD apply online 2026 link will be activated by the Commission in October 2025, along with the release of official notification. Candidates are required to fill out the SSC GD Constable application form 2026 in order to appear for the exam. The SSC GD last date 2026 to fill out the online form will be of November 2025.

Yes, candidates who are aged between 18 and 32 years are usually eligible to apply for the SSC CGL exam. However, the age limit varies depending on the post for which the candidate is applying. The candidates must read all the eligibility conditions mentioned in the official notification. SSC CGL 2025 notification is expected soon. The Commission is expected to define the following age limits for different posts in the following manner (based on the past year notification):

The Commission is expected to conduct the SSC CGL 2025 in June-July 2025.

Q:   What is the age limit for SSC GD?
A: 

Candidates must be of minimum 18 years of age in order to be eligible for SSC GD exam. The upper SSC GD age limit is 23 years. However, the Commission provides a relaxation in the upper age limit for all the reserved categories such as OBC, SC, ST, ExS and others. The SSC GD age limit relaxation for SC category is five years, for OBC and Ex-Servicemen is three years. Refer SSC GD Eligibility Criteria for detailed age limit criteria.

Q:   Is there any minimum qualifying percentage for the SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam?

The candidates are required to score the above minimum marks to become eligible for the selection in the SSC CGL Tier 1 result. The minimum qualifying marks must not be confused with the Cutoff. The SSC CGL Cutoff is different from minimum qualifying marks.

Candidates selected for SSC GD constable must pass the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) or Physical Standard Test (PST). SSC Recruitment Process

The SSC recruitment process varies as per different exams. However, given below is the general SSC recruitment process followed for all the exams for the reference of candidates:

Step 1: SSC registration

No, it is not mandatory to pass the pre-board exams to get the Andhra Pradesh SSC 10th admit card. The pre-board exams are meant for students to be familiar with the board exam format. Clearing them is not a criteria for obtaining the Andhra Pradesh SSC Class 10th hall ticket.
