SSC JE exam 2022 notification and application have been released on August 12 as per the earlier released calendar. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released the notification online only and the last date to apply for the SSC JE 2022 exam is September 2. The Commission did not release the SSC JE vacancies in the official notification. Commission released the eligibility conditions, application dates, syllabus, exam pattern and other important information and rule which will govern the recruitment till its completion. The last date to pay fee offline and online is September 3. The SSC JE 2022 application correction will start on September 4. SSC JE paper 1 will be conducted in November 2022.

SSC released the Junior Engineer recruitment 2022 exam notification online only and the candidates need to fill the SSC JE 2022 applications online only because the Commission will not accept the application in offline mode. Moreover, there is no format for offline applications. Earlier the exam was scheduled to be notified on November 28 but the SSC 2022 exam dates were revised by the commission on July 6.

SSC JE 2022 exam will be conducted in November. The exam dates will be released by the Commission later. SSC JE paper 1 will have the toughest competition because the number of candidates appearing at this stage will be the highest of all stages. The candidates should start their exam preparation it requires more than a year's effort to cover all the topics given in the SSC JE syllabus. SSC JE exam notification will outline the eligibility conditions, vacancies, application and exam dates and the like. The candidates need to understand the syllabus and exam pattern of the exam to prepare effectively. Candidates should plan their preparation keeping in mind the time for revision and practice.

What is SSC JE?

SSC Junior Engineer (JE) is conducted by SSC for the recruitment of Junior Engineers (JEs) in various branches of Engineering including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts. The exam is conducted to recruit candidates for Group-B (non-gazetted) posts in level-6 (INR 35,400-1,12,400) of the pay matrix of the seventh Central Pay Commission.

SSC JE 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality for SSC JE 2022 Exam

A candidate must be either a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan or a Tibetan Refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, or an Indian who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East Africa countries

Educational Qualification for SSC JE 2022 Exam

  • A candidate should complete his/her degree/diploma in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical engineering as of January 1, 2022

A candidate should be aged a maximum of 32 years on January 1, 2022.

SSC JE Recruitment Process 2022

Step 1: Fill SSC JE Application Form

Step 3: Appear for SSC JE exam

Step 4: Exam Result

The Staff Selection Commission declares the results for the SSC JE exam on its official website. The SSC JE results are released in PDF format for different categories.

Step 5: SSC JE Answer Key

SSC JE Answer Key will be released within a fortnight after the completion of the exam. SSC releases the tentative answer key first and invites objections from the candidates. The final SSC JE Answer Key is prepared after analysing the objections and it forms the basis of the result.  The SSC also released the response sheet along with the answer key. The candidates can download the SSC JE answer key and question paper by logging in with the roll number and password. After the declaration of the result, the final answer key with the correct answers is released.
