The SSC JE 2024 Tier 2 exam will be conducted on November 6, 2024. The authority released the official notification regarding the same on the official website. The commission will soon provide additional details about Tier 2 including the admit card, schedule, etc.

Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode:

The SSC JE Paper 1 (Objective Type) exam is conducted in CBT mode. Candidates have to answer multiple choice questions using a mouse or a touch screen. 

Conventional Paper-Pen Mode: 

SSC JE Paper 2 (Convntional Type) exam is conducted in offline pen paper mode. Candidates have to write down answers on the question sheet provided. The mode of Paper 2 also depends upon the specific job profile.

Yes, it is mandatory to appear for both paper 1 and 2 of SSC JE exam. Yes, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer in SSC JE paper 1. The quantum of negative marking in the SSC JE exam is the one fourth. It implies that for each incorrect answer, the Commission will deduct one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question. It also means that four incorrect answer can eat up the marks scored in one correct answer. On the other hand, in Paper 2 one mark is deducted for incorrect answer. Initially known as the Subordinate Services Commission, the SSC was established on July 1, 1976, with the main purpose of conducting zonal recruitment for non-technical Group C posts under the Central Government, with the exception of those for which the Railway Service Commission (later RRB) and industrial establishments conducted recruitment. The Staff Selection Commission now handles recruiting for Group B posts under the Central Government as part of its ongoing expansion of duties.The Commission therefore hires for the bulk of the Central Government's workforce. This sector is the most important component of the government apparatus; the positions it fills are those at the entry level that deal with public relations and interface with implementation of Government policies.
